The location can't be beat and the property very pretty and low key. Though the hotel was fully booked, it never felt crowded. The accommodations (we had a one bedroom oceanview suite on the ground floor in building 3), were perfect and had a great view! It had a large bedroom, living room, full kitchen and huge screened patio which was the perfect place for our family because we could all gather in one apartment for breakfast, drinks, or just to socialize. -- Plenty of room. (We had 12 peop... Read more

We recently stayed at the Sands for 5 nights. Overall, it was a positive experience. In terms of appearance, the room was pretty spacious and somewhat updated. The balconies are screened and have very nice chairs to lay on. The resort's gardening is also pretty great, which makes the balcony an even better experience. Housekeeping did an excellent job everyday and they were pretty friendly... Unfortunately though, it seemed like thinks kept going wrong with our room. From the start, the toilet h... Read more

Loved everything about this property. It was clean, laid out well and our room was spacious and comfortable (thank goodness because I spend 2 days in bed sick). From what I understand it had been renovated and if you look closely you could see some of the furniture had been repainted but was crisp and up to date looking. We were there just before the start of the Thanksgiving holiday week so it was quiet and starting on Friday more families arrived. The beach is very nice, I'd return. Good... Read more

We stayed at this property for 10 days. Great location and perfect beach. we had a two bedroom and two bathroom suite and there was plenty of room. we had ocean view but wouldn't pay extra for it. paid for ocean view and had a view of a parking lot. pool staff was helpful. this was our 4th trip to turks and caicos. we also stayed at the alexandra and i would probably pick that hotel over this one.

This was our fifth time at the Sands with 2 young kids. Arrived late due to flight delay and front desk kept telling me we had to switch rooms during our stay due to some messed up reservation. I was upset and can't fathom switching with 2 young kids and all the stuff. Bell boy Terry who knows us from previous trips put in a good word and all was sorted out. Room was 6301 - oceanview and was lovely, clean. Housekeeping was great this time around and ate at Hemmingways multiple times - each time ... Read more

We arrived yesterday at the Sands Resort on Grace Bay in the Turks and Caicos. The resort is wonderfully located on Grace Bay with a short walk to town (Provo) where there are nice restaurants, a friendly dive shop, supermarket, and typical carribean tourist shops (hopefully you don't come here to shop). The weather is fantastic 77-83 daily with little rain. Most restaurants have outdoor seating, some of it on the beach if you want. This resort includes hobbie cats, kayaks, fins, snorkels, nic... We were sent to The Sands unexpectedly because our plane broke down and the airline sent us here. A beautiful family resort, nice beach, very accommodating staff and a decent restaurant on the property. My problem is at check-in. They asked for our passports so that they could copy them for their files. I refused to turnover our passports and they insisted "it's their policy" I remarked, "Well it's my policy to not turnover my passport to anyone other than Government authorities" they then ins... Enjoyed Easter Break with family. We rented a one bedroom condo/ apt. Fully appointed kitchen and in unit laundry. The beach here is wider than most of the other hotels on Grace Bay. Hemmingway's Restaurant is fabulous. Many delicious meals and tropical cocktails there.

We only required one overnight stay as were travelling on to North Caicos. We stayed in their cheapest room and were thrilled to have a large spacious living room with kitchen and a bedroom on the top floor overlooking the large inner courtyard with gardens . At the beginning of November it was very quiet with few people. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the next morning and were satisfied.

We stayed at the Sands with a wedding party. The Studio Room with an ocean view was clean and plenty of room. We had a room on the backside of the property (Building 1), so the ocean view was just ok. I was certainly expecting something more front facing towards the center of the property for the higher rate. Hemingway's is the only restaurant on site. Food was average and overpriced. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful to our needs. Beach was absolutely stunning with plenty of seating huts i... Read more
