We stayed at RWI in April. this was our second time at this resort. We loved our stay in a garden room the first time and booked the same. When we arrived they gave us an upgrade to a garden ocean view! We loved it!! The view was soectacular, the people working there are wonderful. We had such a wonderful time. I highly recommend this resort. The location is about the best you can get, close to the grocery store and casino and great restaurants right down on the beach. We love Royal West... Read more

Great view! This is a quiet place with great staff though we did have a couple times where we had to ask for room towels after the room was cleaned. We loved having a fridge, coffee maker and microwave in the room. Coffee and bagels on your lanai in the morning is the best. And we had a washer dryer for freshening up our clothes. The Grace Bay photo that features the cranberry colored beach umbrellas is the Royal West Indies. Spring for the ocean view. It's why you come to TCI!!!

My husband and I traveled here and stayed for a week. We agree with everything the previous travelers mentioned about the front desk being not so customer focused. Our check-in was fine but they made it seem like we were annoying them when we asked for their help. We enjoyed the bikes and although it was hot I actually enjoyed biking to the local grocery store. It took us about 10 minutes to bike there. For the most part drivers were conscious of the bikers. I always felt safe biking. We didn't ... Read more

Great room, Great views from the 2nd floor deck. Clean resort-the pool, groundkeeping were excellent. Free bikes to ride on (check them over first). Some nice guests we made fast friends with, great for couples, familys and small groups. A quiet, zen pool was there. First time I saw that. Not so......Pelican Bay restaurant and bar is a crapshoot, especially during the advertised happy hour. Some surley dudes were barflys. The service sucked from some wait staff. Our room was very spacious- love that there is a full kitchen set up and living room. Our suite (suite 311) was situated towards the far side so no great views and we did hear Club Med music late into the night some nights. However that was not a big deal for us since we were pretty much exhausted every night and slept well. While an ocean view from our room would have been nice, we were happy with the room given that we spent all our days and evenings outside of the room anyway, taking in the b... Read more

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Royal West Indies and thought the location of the resort was great. We had an ocean view condo that was very large and had a pretty good view. The room was clean and our maid did a nice job throughout our stay. The room was a little dated but that wasn't a big concern of ours. We thought the 3 pools and hot tub were nice and enjoyed using them. The beach was perfect and there were plenty of chairs during our stay(didn't have to go put a towel down at 6am). We ate ... We requested Building 1, which is the closest building to the beach, and we were assigned room 114. The room was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Lovely resort on beautiful Grace Bay Beach. The location is ideal as you are within walking distance of the casino and a few restaurants down the road. My only negative is that the restaurant on site is so so and the menu isn't very large so you get sick of the same things for lunch after a few days, but not far from other resorts to visit their restaurants. Stayed four nights here in a studio overlooking the "quiet pool" from Building 6. This building is the furthest from the beach, but perhaps this is a good thing as some people have complained about the noise at night from neighboring Club Med. Overall, the place is very nice and well-maintained. Clean room with very large balcony with table and chairs to enjoy a drink or snack. The place would get 5 stars except our first impressions were not particularly positive. The lobby staff seemed borde... Read more

It was a four night trip to Providentiales which was booked from Jet Blue Getaway Vacations. From Baltimore on an Airbus 320 to Fort Lauderdale, we were pleasantly surprised at the standard seat room. From Fort Lauderdale, an Embraer 190 was our designated equipment. our sub-compact rental from Budget was sufficient for our travels to RWI Suites, shopping and restaurants. Check-in was seamless. RWI is an exceptional value for the location, hospitality and price. The staff were so friendly and kind . My boyfriend even received a special treat in our room when I told them it was his birthday. Its right on Grace Bay with spectacular ocean views. No reason to stay anywhere else again unless you want to pay triple the price for no reason at all. We will be back soon, Thank you for a great stay!

I liked it. The hotel is situated at the east end of grace bay. It's about 1 mile from the "town" (shopping/restaurants). We rented a car, but I'm not sure it would have been necessary - not for the whole trip. But it was fun to explore northwest and other areas. TCI is a sleepy island for sure.... Beach, snorkel, pool, drink, repeat... There is not a ton of shopping mostly all the same carribean island "junk". The beach was incredible. White sand, clear water, 6 days of sun. It was gre... As with many things in Turks & Caicos, there are steep prices but the white sand beaches and clear water are the main attractions. When you pay a lot & go to an island like TCI, I do have an expectation of good service / "above average". Arrival: Upon arrival at Royal West Indies, I was first I told that they didn't have a reservation for me; then they said I was expected three days earlier....then only after producing a paper copy of my itinerary, they informed me that my room wasn't availab... I??m rating RWI only a 3 stars due to poor customer service, otherwise I??d easily give them a 5 stars. Please understand we had a wonderful time and RWI is beautiful, very clean and very well maintained, however a majority of their employees could care less about the guests. Again, it??s not ALL the employees, but a majority of them, and especially the front Lobby staff. I believe this poor attitude exists here at RWI, as this development is not a resort, but yet a condominium type of commu... Read more

As a solo female traveler looking to get away from work and everything else I chose to come to RWI. I honestly did not find the staff rude in anyway, we also have to understand that different cultures may come across differently that was we are used to....but based on other reviews some people don't get that. Anyway, I spent a great weekend here. Transfers from the airport are 40 us each way, I opted to rent a car as it cost me 80 for the weekend and at least it would give me the freedom to go w... We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to RWI on TCI and I'm already planning our next trip. the staff are extremely helpful and accommodating and somehow know who you are and what you like. We had a waiter designated to us for meals and he was extremely attentive and knew what we wanted almost before we ordered. Nice room in the front building closest to the ocean. Would have liked to not be ground floor for a better view, but it was lovely. Small kitchen with fridge and conveniently a small laundry in the room. The onsite restaurant and bar is great!!

Facility is very plush with a nice beach. Studio room was sold as ocean-view but I've attached the view out of the room. When I complained I was told that if you can see blue then it is ocean view. Great A/C and the mini-kitchen was nice. Used washer dryer once and it ruined two bathing suites so you may want to run each with a towel or something to makes sure you don't pick up stains. Wireless was good too. Front office not very friendly. Restaurant/bar was hit or miss as far as service.

Check in was 3pm, but we arrived around 1:30pm and our room wasn't ready, which I thought was ridiculous. They suggested we go to the restaurant or bar until it's ready-- I didn't really feel like doing that, so we sat in lobby. (which is very small) They had it ready around 2pm, which is better than the 3pm check in. Check out is 11am (-normal-which I hate) but we checked out around 12pm b/c we spent our last morning on beach and pool. Restaurant staff NOT too friendly at first--ants were al... Read more

Will definitely go back, just not to the Restaurant (overpriced mediocre food, $32 for 2 scallops cut in half with not very fresh, nor tasty salad)! The resort is nice, very clean, nicely landscaped. The bar is good. The beach is beautiful with comfortable chaises. I heard that the resort can get loud in the busy season. It was very relaxing and calm in May.

Nice hotel but only have really 10 rooms with a view You must get building 1 second or third floor. Pools are nice and resort is on Grace Bay. Rooms are clean with little kitchenette. Wasnt happy thats theres no food or drink service at the pool or beach. More off a boutique hotel than a resort. They have no gift shop to buy anything but not far from the stores. Only have one decent restaurant and bar. We hada good time but ate out.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Royal West Indies resort. They have a beautiful beachfront of powder white sand and rows of chairs and a few water activities to enjoy. The rooms are spacious with beautiful garden views and lots of character.
