Rooms were not that great, small and not very spacious. However, the staff are quite friendly. They are courteous and responsive to your needs. Special mention to Umud! He was cheerful and was polite in all circumstances

I stayed at this hotel to stay close to the historic peninsula but not be in the middle of it. What a a good decision! Turning right, in 20 minutes I was able to walk on the great old Galata bridge to approach the Egyptian bazaar and other touristic attractions. When I wanted to take the ferry to the Asian side of Istanbul it was a few minutes taxi drive. Staff was extremely friendly. I had a real Bali massage given by an actual Balinese lady at their blissful spa. The view from the the balcony ... Read more

I had an issue with the concierge (whome I believe tried to cheat me with money) So I sent an email with my complaint to the hotel, but no answer. I called the Front Office manager, but he was not too bothered with my complain and never replied in writing. After I posted my detailed story in Trip Advisor, the General Manager called me. She claimed to have never been aware of my complaint, despite me sending it to the correct email (which she eventually found). The General Manager promised to ge... Read more

The hotel is an easy tram ride away from the hustle and bustle of the old part of town. We arrived early as our flight from Singapore got into Istanbul at 7.30am. The hotel reception kindly let us have access to our room from about 10am. While we waited, we were offered complementary tea in the lounge. The rooms were comfortable with tea and coffee facilities and free bottled water. There is a lovely view from the terrace. The breakfasts were superb. We also had room service which was excellent.... Pathetic. Indifferent service. Small dingy rooms. To top it all no English news channel. We are with a group otherwise would have NEVER thought of this hotel. Cannot say more. The rooftop resto seems good. Facilities for massage and sauna.

At first I had to argue with our local tour guide why we were billeted at this hotel when in fact our itineraries would say that we are supposed be billeted in a 5-star hotel in Istanbul. After minutes of argument and compromises, we agreed to stay at the Nidya Hotel Galataport -- for which we are very much happy that we did! The hotel is entirely very accessible to most of the "tourist spots" by either taxi or the tram. The nearest tram station "tophane" is just a mere 10-minute walk from the ... Read more

If location is important to you, and it should be, this is a pretty great location. Situated walking distance from a nearby beach, the tram, the funicular, a Starbucks and even a carrefour mini, we had no complaints with the location. The hotel itself is solid without being outstanding in any way. Nice rooms, bit on the small side but with all necessary stuff including free wifi, safe, etc. We had no view but given the incredible view from the rooftop restaurant, I can safely say that the ... We stayed in this hotel for a day before our fez travel tour and 2 days after our tour. The hotels location is very convenient. You can walk going to Taksim square or walk going to the spice market. That is if you want some exercise???. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They're happy to give you directions. The spa is very clean and nice. The problem started on the first night after our tour. We woke up in the middle of the night, my heart was thumping and we hear these loud noises,... Read more

Rooms are comfortable. 10 mins walk to the gallata bridge ,thank GOD AC works :-) Our first night we recived warm reception... Our last night not so much. May they got bored of us. We don't eat beef but one of the waiters confirmed a beef dish as lamb dish to my wife..I know about cooking so we found out before eating. This could be unacceptable for few societies. Anyway I wouldn't take the stars away because of some fool's mistake. Just a word of caution.

Our room was a bit small with little room to move between the end of the bed and the wall. The hotel was a bit remote from the city attractions and was about 400 hundred metre walk from the closest light rail stop

Positives: The location is handy as its in between 2 tram stops The staff for the most part were really friendly (especially the receptionists) The bed was huge and really comfortable The breakfast was delicious Negatives: There is a lot of construction going on right across the street so our "sea view" was spoiled - not worth paying extra for this There is not much within walking distance in terms of food / drinks The roof top restaurant which looks great on the website is a casual diner type ... Staff were very welcoming. Our group were late arriving and the staff immediately served us dinner even though it was late. They were interested in pleasing us. It is a smallish hotel which was nice. Rooms are a tidy size and you have a tv with English news...which is enough. Breakfast was good with nice fresh breads and different Turkish breads. It was nice to have the Turkish breakfast....lots of olives, different cheeses, spicy sausage, eggs, fresh fruit and soup! Coffee was very good. It is ... Read more
