First of all, we thank the management for the upgrade from double room to family room. It's on the second floor, with the most beautiful view of Sultanahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque). The room style is shabby chic. Not for those who like to pick on small imperfection like chapped paint. Location is very ideal, there are two minimarkets just a minute walking distance, many many restaurants and souvenirs shops around, five minutes walk to Sultanahmed Mosque, park, Hagia Sofia, Yerbatan Sarnici, tra... The location couldn't be better. Rooftop terrace overlooked the Blue Mosque. 5 to 10 minute walk to all major sights in Sultanhamet. Rooms are unique but tiny, no TV. Don't bother asking for extra blankets if you get cold (we were there in October and nights get cold), they said they didn't have any and we asked twice.

This little, family run, cozy hotel is perfect for couples, has an aura of romanticism and the people running the place makes you feel at home. Depending on the time of year you visit is how the prices are going to be. The place offers included breakfast at the top floor with views of the Marmara or the Blue Mosque. The hotel its close to everything so, you are always a short walk from everywhere. My favorite time to visit it's winter, the tourism it's less and you can enjoy the city better hav... Read more

The staff were very helpful & courteous. the location is more than perfect, 2 min from Sultan Ahmet, Hagia Sophia, ect etc, everything is soo closee. The manager gave us tickets for transportation, maps and definitely great advice how to spent our days in Istanbul. I felt like home with the friendly reception guys. PS. Don't miss a breakfast and the morning turkish coffee at the hotels terrace.

Great hotel, greet, staff and reasonably priced. Perfect location, hallway between Basilica of the Nativity and Shepherds Field. The Tent Restaurant, within walking distance is just fun. The requirement for 200 words is lame when I have already Saif what need to be said. Use this girl if toy want to enjoy tottering time even if trip adviser requires excessive chatter.

The hotel has an antique look but it is very clean. The location was amazing IT IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE BLUE MOSQUE. You can simply go out for walk throughout sultanahmet square and the grand bazzar is also at a walking distance. The city is up until late so you can get to the hotel "late"

It's an amazing hotel in Istanbul city, it's next to the Blue Mosque and it's near to everything. Also, it's near to the metro station. However, the staff is very efficient and honest. I really like the hotel and the staff, especially Ramzan.

A beautiful city with nice people who are very helpful. We stayed at Ararat hotel which was a perfect place, it was the middle of everything. From the hotel you can see the blue mosque which is a beautiful view both at day and night, the train is also near, aresta bazaar and sultan ahmet park are very close. There are a lot of restaurants right by the hotel and you can go to topkapi palace and grand bazaar. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed. There was breakfas... Place is very nice and clean. Location is the best as it is right in front of Sultanahmet and Arasta bazar. Also staff is amazing. Ramazan, Monica and Anna are such sweet people and very helpful. They treat you in the best possible way. I can't be anymore thankful to them. Room is a bit smaller for two people with two medium sized suitcases but it is alright. Comfort is great and loved my stay here.

I only stayed one night at this hotel. The location is fantastic. It is literally right next to the Blue Mosque. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel staff were very friendly. The room I was given was small, but it didn't matter to me, I was alone and staying one night. It was a very clean room, the shower tiles looked new. The bed and pillows were perfect. Breakfast is served on the terrace, which was very pleasant with a nice view. They serve everything you need for your typical Tu... Read more

This gem of a hotel is in the heart of Turkey. Right opposite the Blue Mosque and close to all of the beautiful sites. The staff (Monika, Anna and Ramazan) is really friendly and accommodating.. I also had a very nice breakfast overlooking the Sultan Ahmet Mosque on the one side and the Bosphorus on the other! Well done Ararat..I will definitely come back.

Back at Hotel Ararat for the second time. Last time was about 10 years ago. New owner of two years. He has changed the mattresses so they are more comfortable and converted the terrace to have a retractable roof so it can be used year round and sit and look straight onto the Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia to the right. When booking ask for a Mosque view room. It's November and not so busy and with the troubles the room rate came to around 65 Euro for three nights!!! I was willing to send that per ni... Read more
