I stayed 6 nights and I am happy to recommend this hotel. The location is convenient for walking to all main sights, also trams, metro, trains and ferry. Some good local places to eat nearby. One tip - to walk to Sultanahmet you can go through the Gulhane Park to avoid the touts and enjoy the gorgeous gardens. Service is good and staff are helpful. The hotel is in a quiet spot but some other guests on my floor were a bit noisy during the night so earplugs were helpful. WiFi was good, I loved the... Read more

We stayed two nights recently, and will return in about a week to stay for a last night in Istanbul. We liked the Golden Horn, which was very well located near the Gulhane Gardens, and Topkapi Palace, just a short walk from the Sultanhamet. It's an older hotel, but clean and comfortable, well appointed. We particularly liked the breakfasts in the rooftop restaurant. We are happy to be going back!

Pretty decent hotel. Had no issues with any of the facilities or amenities. The hotel has the added quirkiness of the somewhat dated, yet immaculate decor looking like the set from Fawlty Towers or the hotel from The Shining.

Nothing exciting about this hotel. It's location is fine and the staff are helpful enough. The beds are hard and the rooms are tiny - the bathrooms hilariously so. Has functioning AC which is nice. The TVs play all your favourite Turkish infomercials. Has a safe but it's too small to fit anything but your absolute most valuable valuables.

This hotel is very central to much of what the old town in Istanbul has to offer. Easy to walk to many restaurants nearby. Breakfast on the rooftop provides a good selection. The staff are always welcoming and happy to help. Wi fi good through out the hotel. Happy hour for free tea/coffee, biscuits and Turkish Delight from 3 - 5pm each day. Now the buts.........we stayed a total of two nights before our tour and two nights afterwards. First time we had a front room which was so noisy from the... Read more

Great location, walking distance to Topkapi Palace, Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque & Bosphorus. Clean rooms, very nice staff & fantastic breakfast view. We were expecting a smaller room however we stayed on the fifth floor, room was big & bathroom fine, although shower pressure wasn't great. Otherwise we enjoyed the hotel

We stayed at the Golden Horn twice. Once in a standard room and the next time in a suite on the top level. The standard room was fine but was quite small and not a lot of space for 2 bags if you are travelling as a couple, but otherwise it was clean and quiet. The suite was huge with a lovely theme based layout. All the suites have a different theme so are all a bit different, ours was Bab-a-Ali (or something similar) and had a four poster bed, matching furniture, the only down side was a small... Read more

We stayed twice in this hotel at the beginning and end of an intrepid tour. Our first room was tiny. The space on one side of the bed was no more than 15 cm. Bathroom was so tiny that you could sit on the toilet and brush your teeth (spitting in the sink) at the same time. The second room was a suite on the 6th floor. Fabulous! Large comfortable room. Breakfast is good and the view on the rooftop terrace is amazing. Location is close to tram, and all sites of Golden Horn area. Area was quiet.bed... Read more

My husband and I came here for our 25th wedding anniversary. We had a lovely room. It was decorated in golden colours. I had told the Hotel beforehand we were coming for our 25th wedding anniversary but did not exect them to remember it and decorate the room with petals, balloons, fruit basket etc. It was a very very pleasant surprise. The breakfast was on the top level on the terrace. The views are breathtaking . The breakfast was very nice and plenty to eat. One asian family from the Netherl... Read more

If you're looking to stay in an Ottoman style, 'feel like a princess', clean, sparkly hotel room whilst in Istanbul... This is it! We stayed for one night in between tours and it was very comfortable. The only let down was the shower... it was a strange small, plastic, enclosed, space capsule-like contraption... But apart from that it was a lovely stay :) photo of our room attached!

Stayed here for two nights prior to an Intrepid tour and thought it was a very well located hotel. Simple rooms but enough space for what you need for a few nights, good air con and wifi seemed to work well too. Walking distance to all the major sites and a few good restaurants in the area. Close to the team stops too. Breakfast good variety - Turkish style. Would recommend for a good cheap option in a great location.

Stayed there for 4nights- and totally enjoyed it. Safe location and metro was only few minutes away so easy to get everywhere. Amazing view of Bosphorus from roof top and from our room! Very unique and beautiful design- our room was so lovely, I was feeling like a real queen. Friendly and helpful staff- helped us with all our questions. I would totally recommend this hotel!

Absolutely perfect location to explore the old city of Istanbul. Walking distance to all sites you would want to visit. Front desk staff were very helpful and enthusiastic. Staff to covered the happy hour appeared disinterested at the time. Issues: I was in a twin room and there was barley enough room to put our luggage. I only had a backpack so not too bad for me, but the other person had 3 bags so it was difficult to move around The restaurant on the top level had great views, but once I ... Read more

Having my flight cancelled because of the bomb attaches at Atatuk airport I got on one the following day. Unfortunately I was due to be doing an intrepid tour but that too was cancelled. They were informative and the room was clean. The only thing I felt they could of done was not charge me the night that I was unable to make I still stayed for 3 nights but they charged me for 4 . But overall it was a good stay.

Used by peregrine tours for start and end trip. Convenient location for walking to palace, mosques, bazaars, food outlets etc. Rooms quite tight for a couple, we found going to rooftop lounge/breakfast room gave us space! Lift a bit dubious and very busy. Decor very bling and a bit tired, an acquired taste? A big disappointment is its a no alcohol hotel. Where there is a will there is a way, but owners should reconsider?

Stayed there for three nights with little group of friends, the hotel made our trip to Istanbul totally perfect. Clean and nice hotel with a excellent location, only few minutes walk to metro so close to everything without traffics. During the evening we enjoyed the view on the roof. Staff was very polite and friendly

The staff is very helpful. Hotel is small, but with a good atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious, free tea and coffee with sweets during the day. Convenient location. We arrived earlier than check in time, but they gave us the room immediately without extra charge. We would go back to this hotel any time, 100% recommend to everyone.

Great little hotel with bedrooms offering amazing, over the top Ottoman style decor. Was fascinating watching the changing light effects on the ceiling! Very friendly staff and rooftop breakfast room had great views over the Bosporus.Great location, walking distance to all the major sights..Stayed here twice, before and after a tour, very happy with the tour company's choice.

Fantastic hotel with cute rooms. Ideal location for sightseeing and shopping, everything is near. Breakfast buffet excellent with different choices. During the nights you can enjoy the view from the terrace. Good communication between hotel and money. I stayed only for one night but the staff was very helpful and made my stay totally worth it. Ask for the room on the higher floor with Bosphorus view. Looking forward to come back soon.
