This hotel is between the modern part of Istanbul and the business centers on the Ataturk Airport side. 20 mins drive to each. The plus is it is walking distance to the old city. Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace all are 15 mins by walk, 3 mins by tram.Tram stop is right in front of the hotel. Inside its Double Tree. Smiling, professional, helpful, welcoming.Rooms rather small but the best beds ever! And they serve Turkish coffee. Who needs the Starbucks a block away?

I absolutely loved staying at the Doubletree Old Town. This hotel is perfectly situated. The rooms are extremely clean and the staff is amazing. Mustafa greeted us at arrival and set the tone for what would be a great time. Murat was extremely welcoming and helpful during my stay there. We selected Double Tree Old Town due to its location. When you checkin, you will be greeted with Double Tree's signature warm backed cookies even in Istanbul. The Istanbul tram stop, Laleli-University Station is right in front of the hotel which makes getting to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and other historic attractions in Old Town easy to access. Old town itself is VERY VERY VERY hot and hectic and having access to this hotel to get away from it all was a pleasure. We were given a room on the Hi... Read more

I stayed here for work and being a Hilton, you do go in with a certain expectation of the experience you will have. Good points: warm cookie on arrival, staff pleasant, location not too bad, room clean and large, breakfast spread very nice choice. Bad points: very loud construction going on starting early to disrupt your sleep. I ordered room service, a mezze for Ô?Č15. Yeah a bit on the pricey side but it sounded amazing. When it arrived, it was tiny, small little pots with a spoonful of dip ... Read more

Every part of the meeting went smoothly - the planning, the event, the meals, etc. The rooms are a little small but very comfortable. The restaurant on the top floor is very good, a little expensive and no great view, but the staff there are great and very professional and friendly. We arrived at 7.30am and were given our room which was very considerate considering that most hotel check-in time is 2pm. I was half afraid that we had to keep our luggages with the concierge and roam the city till check-in time. The welcome chocolate cookie added a nice touch. Loved the newly renovated lobby with its open concept, modern and contemporary furnishings. Our room was clean, with comfortable beds and basic amenities. Good and varied breakfast buffet. The hotel is nicely located in Old Town, in front of the tram station. We took the taxi from IST airport to the hotel and it took >1hr due to traffic.
