Expected much less when you were sent from the airport to sleep over when your flight is missed but paid back. Delicious food with complimentary breakfast and lunch. Convenient location to any destination in a city! Very Turkish style with must have coffee.

Turkish Airlines messed up again and we missed our flight. Had to scramble at 1 a.m. in the morning to find a hotel room and Turkish airlines booked us at this hotel. Overwhelmed front desk staff with tens of upset Turkish Airlines customers trying to get a room. Asked for a quite non smoking room. Got a room next to the elevator with a window that did not close. The elevator played a short jingle every time. Very poor internal sound insulation. On the plus side the room was clean, complimentary... Read more

We wanted a luxury weekend vacation without the stress of travel schedules, airports and the like. We went to Akgun because it is away from the tourist hotspots but still in a very interesting area of Istanbul. The hotel us beside the ancient walls. Easy access to metro and tram. Walking distance from Chora Museum. It is possible to walk along the walls. Many restaurants in Aksaray. Staff are very friendly. Especially Erman, Ebru and Elif at reception. We were sent a managers gift basket on ar... Read more

I have been twice in Akgun and each time, the Restaurant was partly closed due to the Wedding Party. It was nice to see Turkish customs and wedding celebrations. Akgun is not far from metro and bus stations. I have found the area around not very noisy, and in the evening quiet and safe.

Great hotel, very reasonable prices, clean large room,7th floor, with 3 lifts.seems to be an overspill hotel for Turkish airlines when their customers are in need of overnight stay.A bowl of fruit was given as a gift on our arrival, nice touch!.facilities excellent, pool,Turkish bath, steam room, sauna.Hairdresser overcharged wife for hair straightening, and no billiards table (they still advertise it in the room information book).Internet week, room service good, view ok.staff change a lot (shifts I gue... We stayed here for a long weekend in Istanbul. The hotel was awesome. The service was great and everything was nice and clean. I would stay again. My only complaint would be that it's a bit of a hike to the major tourist area bit not undo able at all.

This five star hotel is a good when you have a overnight in transit stop in Istanbul. Its not too far from the airport and the all the attraction in the city. Very clean and comfortable rooms. There are two restaurants, one full service dining place with very local turkish cousin and another is Bar on the lower level with shorter continental menu. The service is good and the decor of the hotel is traditional. The staff is courteous and helpful. Internet connectivity is good and is included in m... Read more

Hotel is very good, clean and very near to metro station. Rooms are large enough and very cozy. However rooms are bit noise (not sound proof 100%) and hotel lack some thing extra ordinary. Overall good choice among expensive hotels.on site of Wifi connection it was written that customers have to pay but receptions give passwords for free

Very good rooms and service. The Breakfast Buffet was excellent: a big variety of Turkish and international food. Transportation from/into the Hotel is easy: either Metro or Private cars. Rooms are so spacious comparing to other hotels price range.

I had an awful overnight flight to Istanbul which landed at 430am, with my next flight 14 hours away. Turkish airlines arranges hotel stays for eligible passengers and i was whisked away to Akgun. As i opened my room door i was pleasantly surprised that i could finally take a nice hot shower and catch some zzzz! Whats more, breakfast was provided which could save me from changing turkish liras. The rooms were large with a couch and a sofa.. Nice and comfortable! Wifi was working very well and th... Read more

The hotel is good for its location and I stayed in it for 20 days but it's not good for the following reasons: 1) Air Conditioner is very poor and not cold even after complain many times still not cold. 2) Room cleaners they don't do their job properly. 3) Breakfast is the same everyday no change at all even we requested to make new menu but they don't do it. 4) Internet service is very bad and poor and very slow 1 GB it's speed for 5 star hotel, and I complain about it and they say if I want mo... Was transferred here by Turkish airlines for my transit stay. Hotel lobby area and staff were good. The wifi in my room was quite weak but was good in lobby area as was of course free of charge. Ordered room service and sandwich was average. Location was quite good as this hotel is near Aksaray which means you are only 5 to 10 minutes taxi drive from blue mosque and touristic areas. The only low was that quality of bed and pillows was quite poor.

The stay I had was great, great welcoming staff, very helpful and available at all times. You can mostly find what you need inside the hotel and the metro station is just 2 minutes walking distance. The only notes I have would be about the air conditioning as it needs improvement as well as the variation in the food they give on breakfast, other than that it was great.

Arrived to the hotel early morning, the hotel is nice, the room was clean and cozy, You can find mostly what you need inside the hotel, which makes your short period stay comfortable. But, the only thing which I couldn't understand they don't allow visitor's. When I was ready to pay. My sister was quite upset, that she couldn't spend some time with me.

The Hotel is comfortable, nice, clean and the people working in it are very helpful. But the services and the building itself is not for a 5 stats hotel, and you will notice that as soon as you see how small the elevator is and the room design. Any way I did not have any problems while staying there, the only thing that was a little bit annoying is they charged me 5 dollars for a bottle of water from the minibar that I drunk it and replaced it with a new one.
