Breakfast: large selection, my favourite is the juice stand with freshly squeezed juices. Omlette is also good, and there are some nice local cooked specialties as well. Wide selection of pastries, but they are more or less the same line of taste. Staff in the hotel is helpful and friendly. The internet is reliable, which is definitately a plus. Furnite, tv etc. old and worn, but I guess that's not critical for many travellers. Central location, walking distance from the Medina. Fitness center w... Read more

The best thing about hotel is its location. You are in the middle of everything. But if you choose to stay at this hotel make sure that you keep all your valuable items in the safe when leaving the room.

I stayed at the hotel in mid-March with a group of colleagues on a lengthy business trip. The hotel was fully equipped, and the staff were infinitely helpful in meeting all our personal and professional needs. Particular thanks go to the infectiously friendly staff, waiters and waitresses, room service, concierge, laundry, etc - all were extremely cooperative and magnificently courteous. Definitely staying there again.

A perfect location in the heart of down town Tunis... A walking distance from the old city with its old mosque and bazar. The five star hotel provide all facilities for business travelers as well as other travelers too. A very rich, reasonably priced breakfast buffet is a good start for an interesting day in Tunis. Comfortable rooms most of them have a great view of the city.

We didn't stay at this hotel as we were in a delightful Riad in the Old City area. Pretty much the only place where they serve Alcohol in Tunis. Seemed very well protected with a number of very large gentlemen at the door, then airport style screening of bags etc inside the lobby. A plate of sandwiches and a few refreshing beers later you'll be ready to take on Tunis once again

most of the staff are young so sometime they do not know how to deal correctly with the customer of a local "five" stars hotel, but it is not really important. the room are old but it is ok for the price. the food is very good and always fresh...and very cheap. I like the tunisian salade and oriental pasteries. During Ramadan, they serve an excellent buffet. A room on the back is perfect with a view on a small montain on top of which a wonderful villa with the tunisian flag. A room on the front ... Read more

I had a meeting and training with more than 100 persons in Africa Hotel for 5 days. We had 2 major problems. The first one is the horrible horrible quality of food and the lack of variety of choice. 8 of our friends were FOOD POISONED! They called people to pick them up. And the security guards were extremely impolite, shouting at us and flirting with girls in our group and telling calling them with bad names and being real perverts. We called our organization and we all agreed that we will ne... Read more

I am on my first stay at this hotel, and I can say I am satisfied with the location. I wished I was assigned at a higher floor, but I will stay a long time, so I have time to ask them to move me upstairs. The breakfast is excellent, and you have a lot of foods to choose from; the only thing I did not like was the fresh lemonade which is too sweet for my taste, but it's a minor detail compared with everything else they offer. The Wifi is more than ok ( it doesn't compare with my home connection, ... Read more

HUGE hotel with a GRAND entrance in the busiest avenue in the capital It was my first visit, and to be fair great value for the offered price! my room was located on the eight floor, but as another review mentioned, aim for the top floors/front street?.better view and more interesting scenery. Breakfast was EXCELLENT, many different choices and tooooooo much offered, nice staff as well?. I enjoyed my two days early feast! Spacious rooms and clean with comfy bed, very OLD TV but I didn?... I stayed for 3 nights in El Mouradi Hotel Africa in Tunis, where I met Sumayya, a very descent, polite, caring, professional and helpful reception staff member !!!!! Many thanks to you dear Somayya and congrats to the hotel management having you as a part of their staff. RECEPTION STAFF MEMBERS ARE MAJOR ISSUES IN BUILDING THE REPUTATION OF A HOTEL.

I would like to recommand to Tripadvisor readers the Africa Hotel, Tunis, buffet restaurant. I find it really good value for money: plenty of salads, soups, food, pizzas, fish, fruit, cakes, and green tea to choose from . All for 45 Tunisian dinars, equivalent to 20 euros. The restaurant space is huge, spotlessly cleat, overlooking Bourguiba Avenue, the Tunis champs Elysees, and the serving staff are professionals and polite.

Ok. Not great. Not terrible. The good: was pretty cheap for standard room. Location is great if you want to be in downtown Tunis. The big door men guys were helpful with taxis and directions. The bad: the reception staff who check us in was very unprofessional. The guy was flirty with me in very annoying way, not realizing my husband was right behind me. And he took at least 20 minutes to get things together. The room, furniture and TV was very old! Room was very noisy even though we were on ... Read more

Extremely desapointed with the quality of service . The rooms are incredibly old and dirty. It s a shame that this hotel is operating under a 4 star hotel rating. It does not comply with hygienic norms and definetly does not meet the standards of a 4 star hotel.

This type of hotel is a dying breed, perhaps for good reason. Smoking is allowed in the lobby and bar and in many of the rooms, this seems quaint and old-fashioned in 2016. The hotel would have been top-class in 1980 (or there abouts) but little has been done since then to refurbish. I found that really interesting!! On the downside, there is however no pool or gym, which is a disappointment at the price, at the top-end in Tunis at about ?100 a night. The breakfast buffet was not included in o... Read more

Very convenient location and great for business trips. The best part of the hotel is the staff - everyone from the concierge desk, to restaurants, to housecleaning staff, were so warm, friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would go back again just for the wonderful service. Slim at the front desk was especially helpful and friendly. Thank you for the great stay!

I stayed at the hotel for almost one week. On the positive side: Good value for money, location is the best in Tunis, staff is friendly and helpful, good breakfast, excellent view from high floors above 15th, good and free wifi. On the negative side: furniture is old, no place to sit or drink except in the lobby, restaurants open during limited hours then you are on your own but you have all kind of food just across the street so no issues, it is a 3 star hotel in the south Asian hotel standard... The medina is at 5 minutes walk as well as metro to visit Marsa and Sidi Bou Said. Staff is always at service of clients, from co coerce desk to main room to restaurant.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 days - The Hotel is Three Stars or maximum 3.5 but not 4 stars Interior was average and Clean Staff were friendly and helpful Food at breakfast was open buffet and it was very good and some dishes were excellent. If you are staying for Business - it is suitable and adequate and even as tourist it is good. price was expensive compared to hotel rate 3 to 3.5 stars. But perhaps due to safe area and location in famous street it is expensive
