A large complex that sadly lacked atmosphere. When tourists were coming to Tunis in numbers, then I'm sure the situation would have been different. Sadly that is not the case today. Friendly staff. Efficient check-in & out. Reasonable level of English. Decent food. Breakfast buffet okay, though nothing special (Management - please supply better coffee). Indian restaurant was good, but again it was very quiet. Didn't use the bar, so can't comment on drink prices or service. Security was very good... Read more

I just spent 2 weeks in the Golden Tulip hotel in Tunis. Lots of things to like about this hotel, but the top of the list is the workout facility. Two beautiful outdoor pools that I couldn't take advantage of because it was too cold outside. But this place also has a wonderful indoor pool that I used. It also has a large facility with free weights, tread mills, stationary bikes and trainers willing and able to help. I ate in all four of the restaurants and all were excellent, but the Italian and... Read more

This is a beautiful hotel with helpful staff, good wifi and nice food. It just seems as though it would need some updating. The hair dryer in my room only blew cold air (but maybe that was supposed to be that way), my room along the pool was near an exit door, and it slammed whenever people walked outside/inside at all hours. The gym was good but the hammam could use some updating. The doors to the showers for example were broken and stayed swung open as you tried to shower unless you held it ... Read more

I really enjoyed my stay here, at right around two weeks. I ad a great, relaxing time. (Most likely from having rest company). Ocean view, restaurants, sports activities, & Hammam no-site. No reason to leave the property until heading back to the airport.

I've been there for business meeting for around a week. The hotel is luxury with a good specious room but messing the tea and the coffee. Business area is near the Restuarant. The hotel is really big and not in the sea. It has an open pool and heated pool with sauna and steam.

It was my 5th visit to Tunisie (all for business) and 1st to Golden Tulip... I was wondering why wasn't i choose this earlier. The location is great... of course not on the beach, but it gives very nice view of Mediterranean. It also has residences, which makes the hotel campus big enough to have a morning or evening walk. The Horizon bar at the top gives a panoramic view of the sea... But nothing is at walking distance outside the hotel, however, taxis are always available and are not costly.. ... Read more

I spent just 3 nights. Very friendly and cool. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Very rich and tasteful breakfast. Nice pool and good spa. Also the taxis they propose are cheap and nice. Really a good address. It is very close to nice beaches and all the region around is spectacular. For the security freaks... there is a 24/7 police patrol at the entry of the domaine and inside, discreet private agents.

Stayed for one night at the start and end of a business trip. Check-in process was very smooth (especially as I have stayed before). The rooms are a very good size and well looked-after. Food (including the breakfast buffet, alhtough not enough staff on duty here) is very good with a decent set of choices of places to eat. Although I didn't take advantage of it, the pool is very inviting, with a nice terrace around it. A slight downside is the number of smokers in the hotel bar - you have t... Read more

Carthage was a stop on Costa Crociere Mediterranean cruise. City was welcoming but you had to be alert - patrols were walking around with submachine guns. Went to outdoor marketplace and saw oriental rugs being hand woven.

Spent there 4 weeks in September. Concerned by housekeeping staff, as some of them are stealing things from guests. Personally lost one new shirt and one t-shirt, which never arrived to laundry. Few of my colleagues experienced the same. One the other side hotel has nice pools, very good Italian restaurant with excellent staff and great room service. Staff in lobby bar struggle to understand basic english, which is surprising for hotel presenting itself as 5 star.. Overall satisfaction, except s... Read more

The rooms are large and spacious but dated. Beds, both mattress and pillow, are hard and uncomfortable. You can deadlock the door, but there are no locks at all on the patio/balcony doors, so anyone could enter your room from outside! Best to avoid the ground floor. The gym did the job, a decent range of equipment in good condition, but only opens at 0600 which wasn't quite early enough to suit my travel schedule. Breakfast was below par in my opinion, as there wasn't much good quality protein o... Read more

Stayed in the Golden Tulip Hotel in a room that had builders drilling with a kango hammer above my room. Holidays are meant to be relaxing and this was a nightmare with the noise which was so bad I asked the hotel to change me to another hotel. On the way to the hotel we went through several security road blocks checking for terrorists and bombs and had the car searched twice in a ten mile journey. Good to see though the Tunisian people are taking terrorism seriously but on holiday it makes you ... Read more

This is an ok business hotel. Rooms are large and well appointed (but very hard to get enough light with tiny low wattage lamps but no overhead lights). Gym is excellent. Outdoor pool was lovely. Breakfast menu was not really international as one would expect in this type of hotel. Bar food was good. In the evening the bar was busy with men who did not appear to be hotel guests. By 10pm the place was filling up with quite alot of young Tunisian ladies.

It was my first trip to Tunisia and I was there for a week. I love their restaurants particular the Italian restaurant, their services were very good and the food very delicious. The hotel reception staff were very friendly and speaks english. They went out of there way to find me a power adapter for my laptop because mine could not plug directly to the local power socket. They also have very good meeting rooms, seminar halls and business centre. The hotel is also in a very quiet neighbourhood a... Read more

gud hotel, rooms with big washrooms.rooms are dimly lit but well equipped.breakfast spread was enough for any traveller.very gud space for walking around the hotel and the private residences.the main attraction was CALCUTTA,the Indian restaurant with tasty food prepared by chef Subash who took personal interest in preparing special dishes for us and the best thing was the kebabs and the kulfi which you cant even imagine to get in Tunisia.
