Bring you the best of new music, plus the legends, since 1965.
Nightlife Details The Fillmore in San Francisco has been, in one way or another, a musical venue for nearly one hundred years, but it wasn't until the mid-60's that it rose to prominence as the birthplace of the hippie music movement. What began as a benifit for owner Bill Graham's mime troupe blossomed into the most famous music venue in the city. Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Jefferson Airplane and The Grateful Dead all started their careers at the Fillmore, and the venerable old hall still hosts some of the hottest current musicians.
