We stayed here with our 2 children and in laws June 2014 and it was just heaven!!! Upon arrival our pool access room was unavailable so we were upgraded to 2 private Villas with private pools. Staff were so fantastic as were the Pools, Bars, food and front desk staff, we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Kids club was a bit of a fizzed it's just a small room with a few toys but we like to keep our kids with us anyways but apart from that absolutely amazing!!!

So, me and my best friend had a 2 week vacation to Thailand a few weeks back where we stayed at the MAI Khao Lak Resort. I can't think of any bad things to say about the hotel. After reading some of the reviews I wonder if we stayed at the same hotel. To begin with, the staff was the most friendly and helpful staff we've ever encountered. While the hotel was located ~15min away from Khao Lak the setting was just perfect, calm and relaxing and it doesn't have this huge beach with a lot of peopl... Read more

We stayed in a villa. The room was great. Love how they thought of little things like having a beach bag in the room with beach mats in each room. Umbrellas also supplied in the rom in case of rain. The room was spacious. Only down side and this is not a big deal but we thought they could have clean the rooms better. They didn't sweep or vacuum the sand off the floor. The staff were friendly. Kids and hubby and myself loved all the pools! Think there were 5 different pools. a good choice of re... Read more

We stayed for two weeks over Christmas and had a fabulous time. There was myself and my husband and our two girls (aged 11 and 8). We really liked the hotel and felt that the setting was just perfect for us. We liked the mix of the hotel facilities (mainly the huge pool (our swim up room was a hit with the girls!), and the kids' club), and the outside area of the beautiful beach and various small restaurants/bars etc along the coast. The reception staff were lovely at the hotel. The English la... Read more

My wife and I stayed here for two weeks in December. We have to say that every aspect was perfect. We were given 8 thirty minute massage passes which we were able to convert to 4 one hour massages. We were also given two dinner vouchers. One of these was for the seafood buffet which was delicious. We stayed in the adult only section up the hill. The room was fantastic and led out into our own pool and spa and then onto the huge main pool with a pool bar. Our room was about 5 minutes walk from th... Read more

We stayed the first two weeks of December booked via TUI (not all-inclusive). Our room was in the newly built part of the hotel, in the adult-only section farthest away from the reception, one floor up from the pool-access rooms (a location we recommend for privacy and quiet). The room was excellent - a small suite with a lot of space, a very large bed - firm and comfortable. Two TV??s and one DVD player. A large balcony with a view over the new pool area and towards the sea. Large bathroom, go... Read more

Stayed here on an eight night Luxury Escapes package, which seemed like excellent value! All the inclusions were great, including the cooking class and massages. The poolside access room was really comfortable and convenient and all the staff really friendly and helpful! Daily breakfast was good and other meals really nice. The beach wasn't the nicest beach I've ever been too, but nice enough to swim and walk along. Like others have said, its a great place for families, but travelling as a coupl... Read more

We were ther for three weeks and loved the place. Perfekt for families with all activitys and nice pools for the children. In the new part of the hotel there is a special part for adults whitch is very exclusive.A lot of different restaurants ,poolbars, coffe shops, vine bar etc... all over the place. There are many swimmingpools and of course a nice and cleen beach. The staaf vas nice and hard working and they realy take care of the gests.

We, like many others here, were on a 'luxury break' package (10 days). It was great value for money therefore I think the fact that it is a little tired can be very easily forgiven. The rooms are large and have a good outlook. They are serviced well and anything extra needed was just a phone call away. The breakfast was comprehensive and had many choices to suit most people. We enjoyed our Thai dinner and also the seafood dinner. It was also nice to walk down the beach road to a handful of beach... Read more

Stayed for 8 days as part of a Luxury Escapes package (7 pax including an 18mth old) which made the stay worthwhile financially. We were told the resort is 4 years old? appreciatively things don't age well in the tropics but the resort requires a lot of maintenance on the common areas. Cleaning is an issue particularly the lobby seating, doesn't vote well for a first impression. Breakfast was good however we needed to be careful where we sat to avoid the smokers, can't believe in this day and ag... Read more
