Our main reason to go to Sukhothai was visiting the historical park. The Legendha Sukhothai is perfectly located only a kilometer away from the park's entrance. Don't make the mistake of walking down the street to the park, though - better get a taxi or a bus ride, the walk is quite unpleasant as you have to walk at the side of a busy street in the dust in the heat. The hotel looks quite old and the rooms need to be freshened up, but rather than that it was a nice place to spend 2 nights. ... Read more

Nice facility close to the historical park. They serve good food as well. Staff is friendly and more than eager to help. Enjoyed our three days at the facility. Has ample space in the parking lot for your car.

I only stayed here one evening, but oh my goodness, I LOVED this place! So charming and amazing décor throughout the entire grounds and rooms. I was in awe just wandering around and taking pictures. This place is stunning! It is not high tech nor trendsetting, but very quaint with beautiful design. Natural wood floors, colored tiles, wonderful color choices and blends. They even had a welcome sign with my name on it IN the room upon arrival. How cute! The outdoor pool is beautiful and the rest... Read more

It's typical and very charming ! The rooms and bathroom are large and comfortable. The swimming pool is beautiful, large and has jets. The dinning room in a separate place very typical, as well and the food was good. Everything nice, quiet and clean.

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting the nearby historical attractions . The hotel is well located about 1km from the entrance to the historical park . The rooms are a good size with ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath . Our room got very hot even with the a/c full on but can't really blame the hotel for that . There is a lovely small pool which was welcome after a long hot day sightseeing and they have a large restaurant in a pretty hall . We only had breakfast which was not r... Read more

I had the pleasure of visiting Sukhothai last month and stay at this resort. It's very peaceful and has beautiful gardens as well as a spa. There's not much to see close by surroundings but about 20 minutes away is the heritage park. Monks come around in the mornings at this resort for the alms giving. It's a nice place to just be and reconnect with self or one's significant other.

I have stayed now twice in this hotel resort, and would do it again in my next trip. It's a charming place, with good services. I stayed only one night and slept very well. The staffs were kind to accommodate some of my requests. I just wish the swimming pool would have a kind of roof cover, as it gets pretty hot quickly in the morning.

I had high hopes for this hotel as it has very good reviews. I was sadly disappointed in almost every way. The room and bed was very uncomfortable. It was loud and difficult to sleep at all. The worst part of our stay was the horrible service. It is difficult to get around the town. When we called the lobby from the bus station to send a taxi, they didn't understand and refused. On a different morning, we asked for a taxi. Almost none of the workers understood what we wanted. We had to wait unt... Read more

Possibilities for this, but room was really disappointing. Door didn't close, amenities were very sparse, and the AC didn't work well. It could be very nice with some TLC! Restaurant buffet was good, but not available unless there are many tourists, it seems.

Well, its a pretty shabby place. Someone reviewed the rooms as shabby, but I think that the whole place is rundown. The roofs on all the facilities need to be redone. The pool towels have seen better days and the doors to the rooms dont close properly. The staff need a good manager, as they seem to sit around all day and do as little as possible. The pool bar is an illusion, and the barman does not do much. It would not hurt him to come out to the pool area and ask if guests want a drink, and wh... Read more

this is a shabby hotel. Rooms are dirty and full of bugs. the reception staff is unable to solve any issues. The whole place is rundown, and needs to be redone. They do not seem to have a manager.... Location is reasonable. But there are better locations to see the ruins. This is at the end of the town. I was expecting a lot better. This is not a a "four star" resort....a fair evaluation was probably two-stars. I would not stay here again, and would recommend going elsewhere, if you have the c... Read more

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The grounds are very well kept and the property is built with traditional Thai village concepts. It just felt very natural and authentic. The pool was a great size and the food was very good at the restaurant. The best part was it's proximity to Sukothai Historical park and other monuments. I highly recommend renting a bike at the hotel so that you could explore all of these treasures. Also, the massages at the spa were very affordable, especiall... Read more

This hotel has had very mixed reviews but I booked it because of its location close to the Sukhothai Historical Park and for £115 for 3 nights with breakfast as well as dinner on the last evening you can hardly expect to get Sukhothai's answer to the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok ! Ok the plumbing has seen better days , the floorboards in the room creak ( quaint rather than a negative ) , there are not many loungers around the pool but then it is not a big pool , the AC really struggles , the be... Dark Side : 1. No slippers 2. The room entry is direct from outdoor space so every time I open the door the mosquitoes will fly into the room. 3. The taste of food has to be improved. 4. The room is not checked well so the air conditioning was set to other function that my wife didn't realize so she slept with hot air. Bright Side : 1. Good location 2. Good service. 3. Beautiful hotel with lots of photo shooting point.

...which unfortunately is pretty true here. But firstly: The hotel is beautifully set up and very close to the historical park of Sukhothai. The grounds are well kept. The pool with jacuzzi is nice. Unfortunately it seems that things are going downhill. I can only confirm recent critical reviews about the state of the rooms (e.g. dark bathrooms, old doors and locks), the pool equipment (old towels, pool chair mattresses that are falling apart) and the staff which is neither as friendly nor as e... Very nice hotel, with a privileged location, just 1 Km (0,6 mi) away from Sukothai??s Historical Park. The hotel staff was very kind and attentive. The rooms were comfortable, although they were not 100% sealed, as small animals and insects may sneak in. A/C was working properly, equipped with a refrigerator. The pool looked very nice as well. Breakfast buffet was good. The hotel conveniently rent bikes to ride to the park, recommended to do the visit. The hotel does not have a shuttle servic... Read more

Really enjoyed our stay at the Legendha Sukothai. Built in Thai style with gardens and decent pool with jacuzzi. Staff were all lovely and very polite and helpful. The hotel do with a bit of refreshing in parts, such as a good scrub of the poolside chair cushions and tablecloths made from same material. Also when the large dining room is used for just a few guests the atmosphere is lacking. However, our room was very comfortable and I would definitely return to the sukothai in the future,

This hotel is one of the worst I have ever stayed in. Now the GM is going to respond that he's sorry and blah blah blah but there's no excuse. This hotel should not hold itself out to be a high-end resort. The pros: The hotel is very near the historical park. The employees are all smiles and very friendly. The staff at the reception desk were very helpful. Except for reception, most of the employees don't speak English but they were still willing to go out of their way even with their limited... This hotel is close to Sukhothai Historical Park and there is a ancient ruin named Wat Chang Lom (the main chedi which is surrounded by stucco elephants) just across the street at the back entrance of the hotel. Toward the lobby, there is a wood bridge across the canal (I like this scenario the most) and through the lobby the pool is located and surrounded by rooms made of wood. The staff is very nice and hospitality and they are enthusiastic to answer questions and provide services. Thai massag... Read more

We stayed here for only one night on our trip to northern Thailand. The hotel is lovely. The rooms are a good size. The bathroom was fine. The pool just outside our room was great and a wonderful way to cool of after a day of sight seeing. Check-in was quick and welcoming with a nice drink and cool cloth.

My bad experience with this hotel began since the booking in the hotel webpage: I requested a crib and made a question about the transfer from the airport to the hotel in the comments field. Nobody confirmed if the crib was available or not or if the hotel would arrange the transfer or I had to take care by myself. The following day I sent and email to the contact address shown in the webpage, with the same result: no reply. When I arrived to the reception of the hotel, by my means of course,... Read more

Taxi from the airport 900B (1US=35B), close to the old town, Thai country scenery. Walk across the bridge to the reception. Charming old Thai structure hotel. What I like best was, walked through the back aisle, voila, a world heritage temple there. Well, there's some things you need to know. No in-room safety box, you can use at the front desk one. Nothing around the hotel, unless you have your own transportation. If you prefer walk around the ton, book the new town. Hotel room, a bit old, our... Read more

Rather go to another hotel. This place is run down and not loved. We nearly drove Passed hotel thinking it was someones house from front , no big signs . The massages are weak and average. The dinner Is below average but breakfast is good. The bathes are to small and rooms passe. On up side its cheap and they respond to e mails quickly. Internet is also reliable and location is good .

This establishment has a charming Thai village resort setup. The resort is beautiful to walk thru with quaint fountains, bridges, flower and trees. Thai lantern lights all contribute to the exotic atmosphere . Our room had a gorgeous red stained wood floor. Wood accents and interesting tiled bathroom with wood feudal hall doors lent an authentic Thai feel to room. We also had dinner in hotel restaurant - food was excellent and the staff helpful and pleasant.

The staff is so jaded because they cater to the tour bus crowd that they have lost sight that some people are actual seasoned travelers that would appreciate some good attitude and service. They will not go out of their way to do anything that could make your stay more pleasant. The restaurant is really bad and the rooms are 2 star at best. Also there were lizards and a couple of millipedes in the room. I can deal with a small lizard or two, but not a millipede. My wife and I have traveled to So... Read more
