Dodgy headboard lights in room that are barely holding in wall, room bookings (we had a group of 11...so 6 rooms) were not located as communicated and booked for in emails. This caused a few room changes - not a huge deal. Air con stopped working... they spent a few hrs trying to fix it (between 1am and 3am) before moving one couple to a new room then that had no air con so room move again...one room had a malfunctioning safe...power outages causing air con to spark...giant generator was turned ... My wife and I along with another couple spent 7 days at the resort 13-21May16, we both had Pool Access rooms. The best thing about the hotel is its location - its smack bang in the middle of the main shopping strip adjacent to Patong Beach. The hotel is surrounded by a variety of restaurants ranging from your typical Maccas and KFC to specialty Thai and / or many other flavours that will surely take your fancy. The resort is also about a 12min walk away from the world famous Bangla Road wher... Read more

The Ban Thai is in a fantastic location. Close to everything, yet far enough away from the madding crowd to have a quiet moment to ones self. Then walk out onto the street and it's all there. We found the staff at Ban Thai to be helpful, cheerful and always willing to help with a great big smile. Our new home away from home in Patong.

We stayed in a deluxe room on the ground floor, only a few steps to the swimming pool with the swim up bar. Room was a bit tired, and decor plain. I did not like the bathroom vanity in the main bedroom. The bathroom itself contained a toilet, and a shower over the bath. The twin beds were firm, but comfortable. There was a sofa bench and table which were rather low to the ground. The wardrobe space was good. We had problems with the sliding shutters and door to our balcony, which kept gett... Read more

We stayed in Banthai for 7 days in May. When we first arrived the place looks impressive from the outside and the reception area is not bad either. However, when we got to our room the alarm bell start ringing. We noticed that the floor was really dirty as we took our shoes off and our feet were black with dirt. Also noticed that tiles are missing in the bathroom and the air con had black marks surrounding it. This is not what I expected from a 4 star rated hotel. However, when we ventured out w... Read more
