Lots of mosquitos (which Zeavola can't help) but I made the mistake of thinking that most expensive meant "best" hotel. It wasn't until my husband and I arrived that I realized they prided themselves with being a "Rustic Luxury Resort" and although you may have your own private hut...the bathroom: shower, toilet and sink are separated from your bedroom by an outdoor patio. Which means you have to run through mosquito-city every time you have go to the bathroom, shower, brush your teeth or use th... Read more

After a bumpy speedboat ride to the island we were greeted by a tractor to actually take us to the resort , our friends who we were travelling got on where my husband and I decided to jump into the crystal blue sea( it wasn't deep, up to out knees) and walk across to all I can describe is a tiny piece of heaven. The staff were lovely although we didn't get offered a welcome photo which was kind of sad as we were celebrating my husbands 50th. Our friends did and the next day their photo with a fr... Read more

Such a wonderful resort and in the perfect location, secluded away from the high tourist area of Phi Phi near the pier. We arrived in Phi Phi after a week stay in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and Chiang Mai and were looking to unwind and relax and that is exactly what we did at Zeavola! The setting of the resort is quite spectacular with little individual huts and the sandy pathways around the resort. The resort had a lovely pool, as well as, a spacious beachfront. The rooms were ve... Read more

After a bumpy but fun longboat ride , we arrived at the resort, great way to arrive on the beach, staff there to take luggage to hotel, on arrival as it was early afternoon I decided to book a second night, as half the day had gone, the room was very interesting with its bamboo blinds, and mossie net over the bed. Got eaten alive here by Mossies, even though the mossie tennis racket was kept busy, also not happy with the salt water in the bathroom water system, so showering in salt water, which... Read more

We travelled to phi phi in April, and booked Zeavola as we wanted something different from the usual hotel experience. Zeavola provided that experience, to feel at one with nature but also having all the comforts of home. The food was amazing, a good selection of Western and Eastern foods to satisfy any taste. We definitely suggest trying the lobster, we treated ourselves to this on our last night and it was the best we've ever tasted. We travelled a few beaches while in Thailand and th... Read more

We recently stayed at the Zeavola Resort, at the end of April. To say my husband and I were in love, as an understatement. We were picked up at our hotel in Phuket, in a lovely car, and taken to the Royal Marina, where we were rested in a cafe with complimentary snacks and beverages. When our boat was ready, we had a relaxing ride to Koh Phi Phi. We did opt for the fast speed boat ride. We were greeted with cold towels at the beach, and lead to an out door reception where we rested under the tre... Read more

5 star plus love this place the setting is amazing the staff are awesome love everything about this place. The general manager introduced himself to us today and is also very friendly and approachable. Can't rate this as the most amazing honeymoon setting high enough. The little extras they do such as ice cold towels at midday on the beach is fabulous and as far as I can see none of the other resorts do it. Thank you zeavola will be sad when we have to leave in a couple of days.

CHECKING IN We got off the boat to be greeted by a smiling gentleman on the beach holding fresh cool towels for us - appreciated after an hour or so on a ferry in 35-degree heat. After checking in we were shown to our room by one of the staff, he explained everything we needed to know and left us to it. Our bags followed around 5 minutes later. ... Read more

It was the first vacation with my girlfriend this year and i have to say that it was fabulous, the accomadtion was simple but lovely. It felt like home. The restaraunt had various mouthwartering food and drinks. The service was welcoming and very accomodating. We had wonderful days with the help and welcomeness of Harv Fo, a trainee at the Zeavola Resort. This is definetly not the last time we visit this place.

A friend and I stayed at Zeavola last week having been in Phuket. Zeavola is quite different with many wooden cabins built in the style of a traditional Thai Village. They are quite open-air with outdoor (but covered) living spaces and bamboo screenings for privacy. It really did feel like we were on an island - not built up in any way and a very natural setting with lots of greenery. The beach was absolutely beautiful with white sand and clear shallow water. We caught the Zeavola speedboat to ... Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed in a garden suite for 3 nights. Neither one of us had seen anything like this resort. The buildings are so unique. The bedroom is indoors and air-conditioned, but you have an outdoor living space and bathroom. Definitely bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. If you want to go to the same old four seasons resort this may not be for you, but if you want a once in a lifetime experience try it out! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Just some logistical information. W... Read more

We are staying at Holiday Inn resort. The last night of our stay we decided to have a dinner at Zeavola. We very disappointed, the food is cold and dry and very slow service we can see that they have many staffs (about 5 staffs) standing talking to each other. We are waiting for our food about an hour and what we have got is overcooked and dry steak (I asked for medium) and my friend has Tuna salad also overcook. I would rather recommend to walk (25-45 minutes) or take a taxi (10 minutes) to the... Read more

Took a 45 min long tail boat ride from the main town after after a ferry from Krabi. The greeted us on the beach to collect our luggage. The resort has more of an outdoor feel than many we have stayed at which we expected. You'll use a lot of bug spray and they do give you some wipes. They also provide a turn down service that includes putting up bug nets. We really didn't have any bugs in our room though. There was an outdoor shower as well as a porch with chairs for relaxing. The beach was jus... Read more

My fiancé and I stayed at Zeavola for two wonderful days and nights. We stayed in a garden suite and were located just meters away from the ocean. Our room was absolutely gorgeous, and despite other reviews, bugs were not a problem for us at all. The suite itself was spacious and had a wonderful outdoor living area that we got a ton of use out of. Also, the outdoor shower was fabulous, only used that shower even though our room had an indoor one as well. Both mornings we took advantage of the ... Read more

Beautiful teak garden villas, soft dandy paths through gorgeous gardens filled with butterflies, toads, birds, and even a few chickens. International breakfast with buffet and a la carte. Ample drinking water provided, which is so import here. Little gifts on your pillow each night! Only downsides- diving center was extremely pricey compared to hiring a longboat taxi and mosquitos are out of control. With that being said, it's the jungle and Zeavola does fumigate daily. Here is my disclaimer, we spent 16 days in Thailand, stayed in five hotels, four were great to fantastic (read my other reviews), and this one was not. The Zeavola resort was a huge disappointment and highly overpriced for what you received. The pictures on the web make this look like a paradise. I rented two rooms, one on the beach for my three teens and a pool villa on the hill for my wife and I. This was to be our big Luxury stay on Phi Phi. What a disappointment! This resort is a 30-45 minute long tail boat ride from Tonsai Bay, which is where most things happen on the island. We booked here to get away from everything so that suited us more than fine! The resort will provide a boat ride for around 1200 baht (depending on time of day and whether it's a round trip or not), I highly suggest going through them and using the round trip if you can. The are mosquitoes aplenty but they spray regularly and have repellent everywhere. I loved our garden suite, it ... Read more

To start this review we just want to say that we loved every minute that we stayed in this hotel. Upon arrival, we were a bit afraid of the concept but it turned out to be the perfect place and theme for our vacation. After a bustling stay in Bangkok, to be received by such a wonderful staff and in such a perfect location was just a dream come true. Superb arrival and welcome, all the boxes ticked including meeting all the team along with Lion and Noina the managers. The beach is stunning with lots of things to watch, fishing boats arrive in the waving with the catch al ready to put on the evening beach BBQ. Could not rest going as all was so fresh. ... Read more

We stayed at the Zeavola in a garden suite for two nights as part of our honeymoon. Cannot fault the service or the accommodation. The suites are beautiful and the resort is stunning, simple and serene. It is located on a lovely beach with some fantastic (and cheap) Thai restaurants serving BBQ fresh fish and authentic cuisine. Highly recommend this resort!
