Stayed here on my last leg of our Thailand/China trip and the hotel was nice. But, the restaurant on the 1st floor is excellent. We ate there several times (although you have to pay for bottled water that is mandatory for some travelers); the breakfast buffet-awesome and lots of variety and the best meal was the evening when you select your seafood and then choose how it is prepared and which flavor. š???š??¼š???š??¼ I had shrimp and salmon each prepared differently and flavors. We stayed in this hotel last week for three days with family and friends. To start with we reached the hotel at 9pm at night however the check in was pretty swift. The property is not a resort but a hotel as you pass thru various corridors to reach your room which is bit disappointing. The rooms as such is of decent size with all modern amenities. The housekeeping staff are always smiling and ready to help. The location of hotel is on a deserted stretch of the road so someone who likes to stay i... Read more

The title of this review really says it all. If TripAdvisor had a rating score of 6 then this hotel would receive it. This was our first ever trip to Phuket and our first ever Novotel - and neither disappointed. Having stayed in the jungle at Elephant Hills Camp for a few nights prior, the luxury that this offered was a welcome sight. In arrival out baggage was swiftly taken from our car and wasn't seen again until we entered out room. Patrick, a credit to the hotel, checked us in with impec... Read more

Stayed in the beach front villa, amazing view of the ocean and bay. Room was clean, service was attentive and the breakfast buffet was superb! Free shuttle bus into Patong if you fancy a bit more action but Kamala has enough bars and restaurants on the beach to keep you entertained. Or you can just stay at the hotel as it has everything you need. I would stay here again if visiting Phuket.

Kamala Beach is literally a stone throw from the Novotel Kamala Beach. Staff are so very helpful, friendly, happy to be at work and smiling. Our ocean front villa was very clean and well kept. Buffet breakfast every morning was a treat due to such a variety of fresh, delicious, ala carte cuisines. The hotel shuttle to Patong runs free of charge daily in both the morning and afternoon in air conditioned comfort. Happy hour on the Roof Top Bar is terrific especially as the sun sets.

We stayed here with our little ones aged 3 and 6 years for 4 night in a 2 bedroom Pool Villa which hosted 2 swimming pools. The resort was ok but lacks a lot. The Resort is at a quiet and secluded location at the end on Kamala beach. Good for couples and people who like to relax. But there is nothing outside the resort at all. I mean nothing. Not a shop, not a massage parlour nor a restaurant. The staff was good, friendly and helpful but somehow they was not very well trained and were forgetfu... Read more

It's full of stairs dangerous for the small kids, there is a kids club which is no more than a play room We d loved to spend some time on the beach but the beach side was just a beach with no sun chairs or whatever to let us relax there with the kids Moreover the beach was really dirty. Stayed 2 nights at the Novotel Kamala Beach in an ocean suite. Here are the hits and misses: Hits: -Breakfast selection was great -Free transport to Patong (would be nice if it were more frequent) -Jacuzzi tub in the room (needed some rinsing out before use) Misses: -Room layout. Toilet was narrow and claustrophobic. Not as spacious as anticipated for a suite. -Privacy. After some bad experiences with hotels at Ko Samui, I arrived at the Novotel Kamala without many expectations. But wow, I was blown away! I initially booked for 3 days, then added 3 more and ended up staying for 11 days. I absolutely loved it. The hotel is beautiful, modern, luxurious and feels like a boutique hotel. It was raining 50% of the time. The team under Mike at Novotel Kamala made the indoors stay a good one. My only complain is some staff can improve on their communication style with guests. I have heard Phuket community is less polite compared to Bangkok.. Not sure if this is the reason.. A discrete concrete / brick walkway to the shops would be perfect ...as the beach gets some stuff strewn all over it during a storm.

When we first arrived we were offered a free upgrade to a room with a better view and closer to all the amenities so that was a great way to start our holiday. Loved the fact the Novotel was right on the beach so you could choose to lounge by the pool or wander down to the beach (about 20 steps away) with a towel for a quick dip. Beautifully located on a gorgeous quiet beach,10-15 mins walk along beach to Kamala shops & restaurants. Staff work tirelessly to keep the beach clean - we were so impressed by their determination to do a thankless & endless daily task as this. All Hotel staff are amazing - friendly, helpful & very hospitable. Shuttle to Patong is possibly too infrequent as it books out very much in advance. We were there for around 7 days and I'm sure drove them crazy with requests for multiple buckets of ice (... Read more

Warm welcomed by the Front Desk Team. Shirley the GSA is very attentive and details. We've got the room with beautiful view. Clean and huge room.Completed amenities with a Coffee Machine .. I loved coffee, they just made my day :). Just a little leaking in the bathroom due to heavy rain I guess. But doesn't stop me and my fiancee enjoy the jacuzzi in the room :). Though it is raining but can't stop us to enjoy the view. Located in the heart of Kamala Beach. Nice pool but due to rain, can't enjo... Read more

We booked this hotel with my husband because it is actually directly on the beach. But the appearance of the hotel was a little bit disappointing, the hotel needs a serious face lift a good paint job. Also there is a big noisy CONSTRUCTION project underway next to the hotel, which should have been mentioned by the booking website. Here are some positive points that made our stay still enjoyable: Delicious and diverse breakfast buffet FREE shuttle service to Patong Very efficient and friendly cu... Read more

My beautiful new wife and I spent a wonderful 2 weeks at the Novatel Kamala and we thoroughly enjoyed every second of our stay. Staff were amazing and so attentive, we just could not fault them in anyway. We stayed in a Jacuzzi Villa which was just sensational, private and right on the beach. The pool was brilliant and the swim up bar, along with the bar staff brilliant. Even though there is only one restaurant, the themed nights bring the right kind of variety to keep things interesting. The staff is what really sets this hotel apart. I have rarely encountered a group of employees so sincerely willing to please. Wat and his staff at the Soul Kitchen on-site restaurant were wonderful and stood out as one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel itself is set up against a narrow cliff so when we first arrived by bus, we were dropped off at the street and not the lobby so it was an awkward first impression to walk down a long driveway. If you arrive by taxi, this won't be an issu... Read more

This hotel has great views of the ocean, it is pretty isolated but they do offer a free shuttle to patong beach at 9am,11am,and 3pm(first come first serve basis) and you can sign up to be picked up at 4pm or 11pm Its first come first serve. the only issues with the shuttle service is the pick up time, they should offer another time such as 6pm or 7pm pick up. But then again you can catch a tuk tuk back to the hotel for a bargaining price of 400-500baht($11-$14). The ROOMS: I had an upgraded ro... Read more

From every food and beverage outlet to the quality of the spa treatments nothing made us second guess our choice of hotel in the Accor family. My wife and I had the best and most relaxing time thank you to all the staff, we will definitely be back and definitely recommend. Thank you

Pros Great room, great massages Affordable food Cons The building needs a massive paint lift It is next to a construction site so can be noisy I have a mixed feeling about this hotel. I have seen better novotel hotels and as an Accor Plus silver member I was denied a late checkout from 2 to 3pm, despite the hotel being empty. I was also denied a complimentary drink at the bar despite silver status giving you this right anywhere in the world! I also booked a taxi to leave for the airport upon... Read more

Warm friendly staff made me feel part of the family. I was very comfortabe. Tuesday Italian night good value. The hotel is right on the waterfront but a bit remote from Kamala itself, about a 15 min walk away. Building going on next door made it somewhat noisey. On the whole it was worth the 4 star rating. I would not highly recommend for people with disability although they have made an attempt to put ramps in, not all areas are accessible and there are small steps into rooms that would be hard... Kamala is described as a quiet location. I guess this was in the past. My boyfriend really enjoyed the sharp edged modern look to the hotel, but for me that's where it ends. Underneath the facade, the newness of the hotel seems to be rapidly fading, in need of a lick of paint and it seems to have been built in a rush. I think it's relatively new but there are design flaws and things falling apart already. Namely the shower divide is too short and water floods out all over the floor soaking the t... Read more
