Amazing hotel. The whole place just smells of flowers. Good Internet, good aircon, amazing rooms and the sweetest, nicest staff. Cannot thank these guys enough for looking after us and making our stay in Chiang Mai not only easy and enjoyable but also completely headache free. Nothing was too much to ask. Love it.

This hotel is clean, rooms spacious and service outstanding. Friendly staff welcome you and will go out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. The hotel atmosphere gives you the illusion that you are tucked away on a tropical island! Pool area and room balcony very peaceful. Rented bikes and toured old a Chain Mai. I would recommend this hotel !!!!

Spent three nights at the Rim Resort. For starters it is very beautifully decorated and has a old Thai feel to it- the great part about the decorations is that it's not tacky. The front desk staff were extremely helpful with questions about Chiang Mai, day tours, and even provided some medical assistance to my wife who has hurt herself. The restaurant where they have their breakfast and room service from is really good and a good go to option for late night fixes. Location is decent as its insid... Read more

I added onto my stay here after check in. The room was super nice and very comfortable, great AC in the blistering heat, very nice pool, quiet, great location, etc. All around it was terrific. Favorite thing - the smell of flowers everywhere is so nice. Sitting on the balcony during a rain shower was quite lovely as well.

We were very pleased with the resort. Our welcome was very warm and the staff were wonderful. The rooms were lovely and had a small balcony. We enjoyed the pool which was in the centre of the resort. The breakfast was very good and the staff packed us a breakfast to go when we had an early pick-up for a tour. We felt so well taken care of. We were able to walk into the old town to see the attractions and for dinner. We also took tuk-tuks when we felt walked out! Such a great resort and w... Read more

We arrived from Bangkok and The Rim Resort was not far from the airport. We were greeted by a very friendly staff offering us a welcome drink and we were shortly after taken to our room overlooking the pool. The room was spacious and the air conditioning was great with the humidity outside. The pool is relaxing and the bar was refreshing. The breakfast was very good at The Canal (hotel restaurant) with croissants, cereal, fried rice, yogurt, egg station (located on patio) and much more! They of... Read more

Very small hotel. Nice pool. Great breakfast! Free shuttle to night bazar! Great location. Clean room. All luxury amenities. In old traditional northern Thai style. Big rooms, kind of hard bed. Staff was so so nice and helpful with everything. They really try hard to make you happy and really listen to you. People at the hotel are really happy and Chiang Mai is a great city. Worth the money! There are more luxurious resorts with more action and better restaurants, but be prepared to pay double ... Read more

The Rim offers a great location to explore the Old City. The staff was very helpful, even printing out emails. Everyone smiled and provided whatever assistance was needed. The rooms are very clean and well-appointed, with good a/c, beds and showers. The hotels was very quiet, without a rowdy backpacker scene. The pool is pretty and the water is cool and refreshing. The pool does close early at 7:00PM, but by then it is time to catch the free shuttle to the Night Market. The location was about... Read more

I would agree with the other reviews, about the friendliness of their staffs and their description on this hotel. I would definitely rate 5 star for their hospitality. It is a very compact hotel (or maybe boutique hotel it is). Location wise, i would recommend this place for couples or travellers who would just like to chill and relax in the hotel. It is quite a distant to the happening places like the night market and pubs and bars (you need to take a tuk tuk and they charge quite unreasonably ... Read more

The hotel was very nice. Rooms were decorated tastefully and very authentic Thai. The amenities in the room were also lovely, and they left new everything every day. The mini bar which consisted of snacks, soda & water and a bottle of wine were free and replenished daily which was a very nice touch. The breakfast was ok and typical with noodles, fried rice and bacon, eggs, sausage & fresh fruit & yogurt, The suite was well appointed and the furnishings lovely. The sheets were the softe... The room was just fine; pretty standard expectations for SEA. Clean and plenty of space with a nice balcony. The beds were pretty solid though, in case you're the type that likes to sleep on a cloud. We didn't' mind. The staff was extremely kind and helpful; even booked a tour for us while we were out. It's also a small enough place that they get to know who you are. To be honest I didn't expect this Resort to be amazing. We stayed here just because we were in Chiang Mai for 5 days and didn't want anything really expensive as our next stop was Phuket. The Rim was hands down the most amazing Resort with the most amazing staff! I am still in shock of how much better this Resort was than it looked on the internet. The Rim Resort has a good location, just inside the Old City of Chiang Mai. The room was large and pool view nice...until people got loud after pool hours and no one from the hotel stopped it. Wifi was mostly reliable, with a few outages. Breakfast had a large number of choices, with some variation daily. Staff was friendly and appreciated my attempts to speak Thai.

A beautiful charming wooden place, with Thail style rooms and big bathrooms. The hotel team is great, very available and always ready to help. The pool is absolutely beautiful, and location is close to Wat phrah singh/hypercenter of Chiang mai. The key concern is regarding the thermal/acoustic isolation : you hear everything what happens in the stairs or at the pool (room with balcony on the pool/gym) or planes (airport is 2km away). We stayed here for two nights in September 2016. From check in to check out the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Nothing seemed too much of a task for them and they were always happy to help with anything we needed, and did so with a smile and friendly demeanour. The hotel itself was beautiful to look at and relaxing to stay in. There was an amazing temple a short walk from the hotel, which the staff were happy to recommend and direct you to.
