We stayed three nights at The Peaberry and it was fantastic. A small boutique hotel with a spacious airconditioned room and bathroom, and excellent service. Yes, the bed is hard but aren't they all in South East Asia? I actually found it was better for my back. It is within walking distance to most of old town and if you can't get there by walking, you have plenty of tuk tuks and red trucks available outside the door. We walked most of the time and even used their free bicycles (be careful when ... Read more

My friends and I stayed for one night. The hotel owner met us at the airport at midnight and speaks fluent English. This hotel is well laid out, modern and very clean. The staff was very polite and helpful. Free breakfast with your choice of fresh fruit, eggs, cereal, etc. One of the many thoughtful touches was the free use of well maintained bicycles for the guests. Although in busy Chaing Mai this hotel was amazingly quiet!

It's a small hotel, with its own charm. It has a nice layout, with simple but beautiful decor. The room is of decent size and is clean & tidy. Bed and pillows are comfortable!! It's next to a main road so noise could be a problem, but not that serious! I could sleep well during my stay there. The only and minor complaint is that there is only one small window in my room. Personally, I always prefer to have more and bigger windows! Breakfast is included in the room rate. It's simple but fine. Las... Read more

The customer service at this hotel is amazing!! The owner and his staff were so helpful with everything from checking in, booking an awesome elephant tour, providing directions and info etc. We stayed for 3 nights in a family suite with 2 bedrooms. The hotel provides air conditioning, free wifi, free bikes and a breakfast. I loved the decor of The Peaberry and everything about it.

I give this property a 4.5 stars. I only took a 1/2 star off because it is outside the central Chiang Mai area but overall I had a fantastic 6 night stay here. The hospitality staff was fantastic. They helped me arrange everything from finding a driver to hire, to signing up for cooking classes or tours. The rooms were spacious and comfy and had all the amenities you'd want including a fridge. Everything was a short taxi or tuk tuk ride away, and for the price --you really can't ask for bet... Read more

This hotel (manager and possibly owner) helped my family out when we were at our most vulnerable. My son had been medically evacuated from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai RAM hospital and we were lost and bewildered on where to find a close and decent hotel for my husband and daughter. The Peaberry was just inside the moat near the hospital and was our saving grace. The first night, they made special allowances to fit my family in and allowed us to stay night by night (since we had no idea how long ... Read more

The accomodations at the peaberry were superb, especially the staff. Most spoke English well, and some are very fluent. Everybody was friendly and smiling all of the time, and offering to help us get a cab or asking us what we were getting into for the day. They had a couple of good places to eat very close and around town, one super friendly and helpful staff walked around the corner with us and helped speak/arrange laundry with a Thai woman, who delivered it back to us then next day. My wife and I chose this place primarily as it advertised car parking space - not commonly found at "moated Old Town" accommodation. That turned out to be street parking space but in all fairness it was always available during our 5 night stay. This hotel is located in the north-west corner of the Old Town and faces a busy road but most of the rooms - like ours - are much quieter than expected. The owner/manager (Mr Kishore?) keeps a close eye on things and is very energetic and tries hard to ... Read more

My self and 2 friends stayed in Peaberry in April 16. On arrival, Tukta the lady at the reception was helpful and cheery. She had excellent English and gave a very personal service. We decided to book an extra room and the hotel tried their best to accomodate us despite being busy. The hotel is just outside the old city, but this wasnt a problem, it is around a 30 min walk or there are plenty of tuk tuks. The rooms are clean, AC works well, and the price very reasonable. Myself and my girlfriend arrived here for one night and ended up staying five nights. We arrived in Chaing Mai with nothing planned. As soon as we arrived the owner helped us plan our entire trip in Chaing Mai, and really made it so easy. The staff are very friendly, the rooms and amazing and its a small hotel so its nice and cozy. We are a couple from USA. We stayed at Peaberry for 6 nights and really liked it. Our room was big and always very clean. Beds were great and shower was very nice. The staff was always very friendly and provided us with tips and recommendations daily. The staff took our laundry to get washed and had the service deliver it right to our door. They all were very nice and helpful. A gentleman, who is the owner is very kind. The location is very convenience, facing the moat in the old city which is easily walk to Sunday walking street, Kad Suan Keaw Shoppingmall and wandering in the old city.
