The service was excellent. Small hotel. Greeted with nice cold ice tea at reception. Good location within walking distance to some temples. Very nice and accommodating workers who provided great tips for dinner and spoke very good English. Massages were reasonably priced and excellent. Dinner was average but not great. Breakfast buffet was very good with lots of selection of fresh fruit and egg station ( did not need lunch afterwards). A bit noisy in the am with the local dogs. We stayed further... Read more

Boutique Hotel in the older part of the city of Chiang Mai, few points about this hotel: Pros: Good location, friendly staff and great gift shop with amazing items from jewelry to clothing. A super helpful Executive Assistant Manager Mr Pongsak Siriphan, he helped us with tips on shops to outsource material for our house, find maps and talked to locals to assist us...he really went out of his way. Wonderful 200 year old Tamarind tree right in the middle of the garden, thai antique style in the d... Read more

I would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. Our stay was beautiful, the staff were so friendly and helpful! Our room was beautiful and always had plenty of water and fresh fruit. The staff were extremely helpful in teaching you about local knowledge and language they also provided free tours around the temples etc. And were always happy to assist in other booking needs. I wish we had of stayed longer! A very relaxing and quiet resort :)

The Tamarind Village has to be experienced. Situated in the heart of the town, you enter a world of such stillness and tranquillity that it's hard to imagine the hustle and bustle of the main street just the other side of the walls. This is authentic Northern Thailand, the Lanna culture at its best. Staff are polite, gentle, always smiling, and ever watchful so that the minute something is needed, it is provided. Attention to detail is everywhere - in your room, in reception, in the restaurant. ... Read more

This hotel is right in the centre of the old city, very in contrast to the high rise Bangkok. We had a lovely welcome and were shown straight to our rooms. The pool is lovely and peaceful and eating breakfast outside next to it was a very relaxied way to start the day. Just outside the hotel were a range of places to eat and a fabulous massage place which cost about £4 for an hour massage! We visited several places while here and just picked up one of their red truck taxi's from the road ou... Read more
