We just came back from staying two nights at this hotel - it was meant to be the luxury experience at the end of our trip. The service at front desk is fab, the pool is very pretty (all be it very very cold) and the hotel area expansive, however it has the feel of a place that's well in need of some TLC and frankly we were disappointed. I'm sure in it's hey day it would have been one of the top places to stay but frankly compared to other places in town the extra cost to stay here is not worth t... Read more

Me and my wife went as a part of our honeymoon and can't say that we were 100% satisfied. There was no specific problem per se, but the breakfast seemed to be poor in terms of variety and also looked like all the pastry was bought from outside (instead of homemade). The room was great, very big and comfortable. Nice bathroom, with a bathtub and all. We missed a mosquito electric repelent of some kind as the city and the hotel have a lot of woods, forests and rice plantations. Also a small lizar... Read more

This hotel sounded good because I wanted to stay in a Thai hotel not one of the big chain American hotels but I wish I had stuck with familiar brands. Not only this hotel is out of town and you must constantly hire a taxi to be in the middle of everything but what disappointed me was the service. It truly was a hit and miss. I never knew what I would get it really depended on who was on duty. All and all I would not recommend this place, there are better quality hotels and in better locations to... Read more

Chiang Mai was the last destination that we had on a two week tour of Hong Kong and Thailand. We did a lot of research on all the different places and based on the 4 star rating and the pictures we thought it was a beautiful place to stay. We were VERY wrong. How this hotel has a 4 star rating is very strange to me. At its very best maybe I would consider a 3 star rating, but given the lack of service, the quality of the rooms and the location I would even say 2. 1. Location The hotel is abo... Read more

Stayed at the Siripanna for 4 nights on our visit to Chiang Mai and I have to say that I was extremely disappointed. Not sure how this hotel got a rating of 4 stars. This is a 3 star hotel. Some details: 1) hotel grounds/amenities: when you first walk in to the hotel, you're impressed by the grand entrance and beautiful grounds. But then you notice the details and quickly become disappointed. The pool area is very pretty, but the pool chair cushions have mold and mildew on them, which is gross ... Read more

An ok hotel. The surrounding area it's not that great. You have a 15 minutes tuc tuc ride from the city center. The front desk staff it's not super friendly but the guys at the restaurant are very helpful. The rooms are ok, kind of old fashioned. I would recommend stay somewhere else.

After reading all the amazing reviews for hotels in Chiang Mai, we settled on Siripanna for our 3 night stay and boy were we disappointed. This hotel is about 15-20 minutes from the airport and we had arranged a prepaid shuttle with the hotel. This hotel happens to be away from the city center which is a good and a bad thing. More private but pain to get everywhere. They offer a complimentary shuttle to the Chiang Mai market (which is a great way to get to/ from the market). Check-in was effort... Read more

The grounds and hotel is beautiful, and we had a wonderful stay at the Siripanna. The free shuttle to the night bazar was convenient. I would recommend this to friends. However, I wouldn't give it an Excellent rating as we felt as though the hotel nickel and dimed us for everything, even bottled water. This is unreasonable given the tap water isn't safe, especially for a 5 star. The service was overall quite friendly, however a few particular staff members were quite rude and raised their voice ... This hotel did not really live up to expectations or reviews. Average at best. Nothing to really write about as nothing stood out in a good way. Felt like a travellodge built in a rainforest type theme. This hotel is more 2-3star. Food in the hotel was below avg and breakfast had more bugs in the food than food itself. Not good if you are travelling with the missus. Thoughout our stay the bed linen was not changed once and bathroom essentials were not replaced after our first night incl towels... Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights at the Deluxe Lanna Room. We absolutely loved this place, staff were super friendly and very helpful. Their English was impeccable. We were welcomed by a female receptionist name 'Gourd' (not sure how to spell) but she was so kind and welcoming. The interior design of the lobby and the room was lovely. It was modern and had a nice oriental touch to it. Buffet breakfast was decent, there was a variety of food to choose from. You can even order coffee w... Read more
