We stayed in this hotel as part of our honeymoon for 3 nights. It's really lovely, relaxed and the staff were excellent. Beautifully decorated, the whole vibe is very relaxing. We didn't use the spa as we couldn't get an appointment - definitely need to book in advance! Instead I went down the road for a far cheaper massage, although I'm sure the setting wasn't as nice, it was still a good Thai massage. One of the great things about this hotel, you can check in/out at anytime and also have b... Read more

We stayed at U Chiang Mai for 6 nights, and it was a great experience! This hotel is in the heart of Old City (which is where you want to be) and the Sunday Night Walking Street (market) runs on this road - amazing location! The service is amazing for the price paid. Amenities are great, and the staff is incredibly friendly for the most part, answering any questions about the city or helping find activities for tourists (if you ask). Since we went around holidays, they also gave a couple of fre... Read more

From the first moment we walked into this hotel we felt at home. The staff are friendly and will help you with any request you have. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. There are some rooms that open out onto the pool if you want direct access. The breakfast is buffet continental and then you order what hot food you like much better than seeing the waste on plates. As this hotel is right in the middle of the old city, it is convenient especially if you need to get back to your h... Read more

We stayed here for 5 nights over Christmas as part of our honeymoon trip to Thailand. Chiang Mai was definitely our favourite place of the 3 we visited, and this hotel was perfect for exploring the area. It is right in the middle of the city so everything is accessible, yet as soon as you step inside, it is calm and quiet. There are restaurants and massage spas right outside the hotel (Pad Thai Ratchadamnoen was especially good - the fried chicken and cashew nuts was delicious) and the Sunday wa... Read more

U Chiang Mai has an excellent location, right on the Sunday walking street. Although sometimes getting in or out of the hotel during the market could be tricky as the entire street shuts off to cars, and there are a LOT of people walking around in the market. I was able to circle around the vendors and get in and out though. The hotel is also walkable to several wats - Wat Phra Singh, Wat Chedi Luang. The included breakfast is very extensive and has both continental and hot items. The banana pa... Read more

I absolutely loved this hotel and try as I might I cannot think of a single negative. It's an oasis of calm out of the hustle and bustle of the old town of Chiang Mai. From the rooms, to the pool area, to the absolutely delicious breakfast, everything was brilliant and the staff were super helpful. 2 things out of the ordinary worth knowing - you can have your breakfast at any time in this hotel. So if you don't manage usual breakfast hours, you can eat it for lunch or dinner instead! Also, you... Read more

Great hotel located right in the centre of old CM. you are on walking street which becomes just that at weekends for the market. Room was excellent, great Touches such as I pad mini really worked. The balcony was great with a day bed to lounge on. Breakfast was varied with a buffet and a la carte option as well. We stuck with buffet and was really pleased with it. The team at the hotel are the most pleasant and polite I have ever met, keep hold of them they are diamonds!!!

Cant fault the hotel on location, more or less walking distance from most things around the old city that you'd want to see (30 mins). Rooms are spacious, well equipped and staff friendly, and attentive.

Lovely hotel on Main Street in old town, rooms large and modern, with pool in central courtyard loads of large pool towels available. Breakfast was good, ate in the restaurant once the food was excellent but lacked a little atmosphere but what made our stay memorable was the staff everyone of them made you feel welcome and they couldn't have been nicer if I am ever back in Chiang Mia will definitely stay here
