We stayed here for five nights recently. The position of the hotel is perfect to see the temples, and to be in the heart of the city. You are surrounded by little restaurants and bars which we used all the time we were there. On our more relaxing days we sat by the lovely refreshing pool. Whilst there are not many sun beds there, we never had a problem in getting one to relax on. In addition, our room had a lovely balcony which got full sun from mid-day onwards. If you are a sun-worshiper the... Read more

We had a great stay at U Chiang Mai. The highlights for us were (1) the location and (2) the staff. It's in a great place to walk to different restaurants and the Sunday market takes place right in front of the hotel, which is great. Just make sure to take this into consideration if you need to leave on Sundays as the street is blocked off starting around 4pm for setup. The staff was incredibly helpful and accomodating during our stay. They were so polite and welcoming and wonderful with our 7-... Read more

I loooved this hotel. The facilities and my room were so clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The location in the Old Town is perfect. Walk in any direction and bump into a zillion temples, restaurants and massage places (hotel also has their own spa). I recommend booking your stay during the Old Town's Sunday market because the hotel is located right in the middle of it.. as soon as you walk out the front door, youre in the market. It gets packed but once youre back in the hotel... Read more

Cannot rate this hotel high enough. Great location, right in the centre of Chiang Mai, everything within walking distance. Very helpful staff. Good food and you can take their excellent breakfasts any time of day. The hotel is small but beautiful and the rooms immaculate . We stayed for 13 nights and it was an absolute delight.

We stayed here for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year as a family of 5 in 2 rooms. The staff were all lovely and couldn't do enough for you. The rooms were on the small side but we had a roll away bed in one of the rooms to be fair, All immaculately even get to choose your own scented soap on arrival. We couldn't book into spa as no room for 5 of us so they had a driver pick us up and take us to an amazing spa down the road instead. The location is perfect, close to most templ... Read more

Stayed here a week ago during our honeymoon. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The grounds and decor are lush and as such it deserves it's boutique status as a hotel. The location is perfect as it serves a good base for exploring Chiang Mai. A lovely stay and we would definitely go back if we travelled those parts again.

We stayed in this hotel as part of our honeymoon for 3 nights. It's really lovely, relaxed and the staff were excellent. Beautifully decorated, the whole vibe is very relaxing. We didn't use the spa as we couldn't get an appointment - definitely need to book in advance! Instead I went down the road for a far cheaper massage, although I'm sure the setting wasn't as nice, it was still a good Thai massage. One of the great things about this hotel, you can check in/out at anytime and also have b... Read more

We stayed at U Chiang Mai for 6 nights, and it was a great experience! This hotel is in the heart of Old City (which is where you want to be) and the Sunday Night Walking Street (market) runs on this road - amazing location! The service is amazing for the price paid. Amenities are great, and the staff is incredibly friendly for the most part, answering any questions about the city or helping find activities for tourists (if you ask). Since we went around holidays, they also gave a couple of fre... Read more

From the first moment we walked into this hotel we felt at home. The staff are friendly and will help you with any request you have. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. There are some rooms that open out onto the pool if you want direct access. The breakfast is buffet continental and then you order what hot food you like much better than seeing the waste on plates. As this hotel is right in the middle of the old city, it is convenient especially if you need to get back to your h... Read more

We stayed here for 5 nights over Christmas as part of our honeymoon trip to Thailand. Chiang Mai was definitely our favourite place of the 3 we visited, and this hotel was perfect for exploring the area. It is right in the middle of the city so everything is accessible, yet as soon as you step inside, it is calm and quiet. There are restaurants and massage spas right outside the hotel (Pad Thai Ratchadamnoen was especially good - the fried chicken and cashew nuts was delicious) and the Sunday wa... Read more
