Excellent location within walking distance to the old town and the Night Bazaar is a stone throw away. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The foyer offer a relaxing atmosphere as a meeting place to catch up and meet. You will wake up to a scenic view as the room overlook the mountain. I would recommend it to others.

The door of my room wasn't working properly, every now and then I need to kick it to make it close. The corners of the furniture need a bit of touch up. Otherwise the service was pretty good. The location is convenient if you're into tourist shopping, however I'm not really into that scene so I found the neighborhood a bit dirty/skanky....

We stayed in a Le Meridien in Bora Bora and it was the best hotel experience I have ever had. I wasn't expecting to be nearly as effusive about this hotel. After all, it's in the middle of a city and appears to be a fairly standard business hotel, and the rooms aren't bungalows built on stilts over the ocean with glass floors. But this hotel absolutely blew me away, and has without a doubt cemented Le Meridien as my favorite hotel chain in the world, bar none. Any time I go somewhere that has on... Read more

Great location, we were upgraded to a presidential suite! The room was amazing! Definitely worth upgrading. You turn left out of the hotel in the evenings and are next to the night markets and the food courts. You turn right out of the hotel and can go to the other part where there are shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful! I would definitely return!

My husband and I recently stayed here and had an awesome time. Beautiful hotel lobby, rooms, and pool. Everything was clean and the staff were very friendly. Great location as well; easy walk to temples, restaurants, and night bazaar. My husband and I really enjoyed laying by the pool in the afternoon sun. No in room coffee maker, but they give you complimentary coffee tickets to the coffee bar in the lobby (which had GREAT Cappuccinos and Espressos). Overall, we had great stay at Le Meridie... We are in the midst of having a bad experience at this hotel. We had just stayed at Bangkok's Le Meridien Hotel, which was an amazing experience so we expected similar from Chiang Mai's Meridien. It was a HUGE step down. The staff was rude and difficult when we checked into the hotel. The rooms were less nice, as were the facilities and amenities (such as the gym and breakfast). Our room was smaller and generally less attractive. The staff isn't very good at English like they are in Bangkok. A... Read more

Hotel is situated right beside the night markets and with easy access to everything. This hotel is another example of the Starwood brand's passion for excellence. Given my status, we had access to the Lounge (bfast, evening cocktails and eats or free) - which I highly recommend. Staff were exceptional. Friendly, engaging and genuine in offering to help. Warning - if you are a wine drinker - be warned. Wine is exceptionally expensive and the pours are pathetic. Stay away from the lobby bar... Read more

All physical appearance is well and neat. But for the price, amenities are very limited like no in-room coffee, no toothbrush,no razor. The price we pay should include all these travel essential stuff. Breakfast and lunch buffet is very small. Services are nice. However, in terms of competitiveness I would not come back for this price.

This was my second stay at this hotel and it was faultless. Clean, friendly, lovely food, lovely rooms, nice staff. The location is great if you like to be right in the action, yet so quiet in your room. It was so good we came straight home and booked to go back again in 11 weeks. This time we hired a scooter across the road for about $6 AUD a day and travelled up into the. Mountains. It was such a great experience. Can't wait to go back ???

Visit this hotel in july, room is big n nice. Service of this hotel not so bad. But the restaurant food in this hotel is below average. Some food is nice some food is below average n the most important is not many choices of food to eat. Very limited choices of food to eat. The bathtub is very shiok. The tooth brush n tooth paste must request which i thought is a standard for a hotel room to have. Iron board and iron is in the room. Overall its still ok.

The fixtures are old and a bit drab, if well-kept and the amenities are of average quality and a bit scarce--not the kind you'd expect from a five-star hotel. The gym seems of a decent size with a selection of cardio machines, but again, somewhat dated. Worst of all, however, is the food. We tried the dinner buffet and it was by far the worst food we've had in Chiang Mai: soggy pizza and stale pasta, soggy ... Read more

From the first whiff of the scent they use in the lobby, I knew I made the right selection choosing this hotel. Perfectly located right at the foot of the night market, you have great Thai and fast food options right outside the door. Hotel breakfast was top notch with an elaborate spread for Asian and Western palates. The gym was good enough for a hotel gym. The location is very central - in fact maybe too central for some given it's between the red-light district and the night bazaar however for me it's a good compromise and very central. The hotel itself isn't brand new, nor is it tired or dated. It has a great gym - almost the size of a commercial one. It also has a very nice pool area. Tons to do and see plus the Pavillion night market which is super fun. This place is the perfect base as Chaing Mai is a place that you go to for tons of tours and cooking schools. The... Read more

Stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't have made a better choice. The hotel facilities are all perfect and we had an upgraded suite with view over the whole city and the mountains behind. Rooms are spacious and with everything you would expect from this hotel chain. The lounge has a great selection of snacks and drinks all day. Great service, beautiful hotel and solid food. The location of the hotel is also fabulous to explore the city. All in all I can just highly recommend the hotel and thanks ... Read more

Outstanding service and lodging! This was one of several stops on our tour and without any doubt, one of our favorites. I love that it was in the heart of the night market and within walking distance of just about anything we wanted to do. Chiang Mai was my favorite city in Thailand and Le Meridien made it even more enjoyable. Definitely worth your stay.

We stayed in this hotel for Yi Peng and the views of the lanterns from our window was wonderful. The rooms were roomy and comfortable and clean. My son liked his small bed. The bath and shower were lovely too. The breakfast was ok, but the staff were often forgetful and required repeated prompting to bring any tea of coffee. Door staff very friendly and helpful.

We were a group of 3 American women traveling throughout Thailand. Chiang Mai was our final stop and Le Meridien Chiang Mai didn't disappoint. The location is outstanding and very safe...you can walk right outside and shop at the night market. We were able to get a tuk tuk to anywhere in the city for 100 Baht ($3 USD). The hotel itself is clean and modern. The bell hops and valet staff are always there to greet you with a smile. The pool has a fantastic view and is a nice escape from the city. O... Read more

Stayed on the 22nd floor club room~The first day n last day of our stay we recounted power failure a couple of times. The in-room temperature as not conducive n stuffy. We lighted these issues to the reception n soon the techician came up n did some test. He discovered the room was 27degrees n reported our comments to the manager. Soon the thermostat was brought down to about 20degrees. However the power failure continued n we were later told it was due to some electrical problems in Chiang Mai.... Read more

I'm usually not a fan of chain hotels, but we spent three nights here and the staff could not have been more accommodating. My husband broke his wrist and injured his leg during the trip and, after a mishap with a clinic in Phuket, the concierge sent us to an excellent hospital, and made sure he was taken care of throughout our stay. Housekeeping was excellent as well; rooms are small (club level) but immaculate and we had everything we needed. The hotel is centrally located; lots of bars and... Read more

Just stayed 3 nights at this great hotel. The service , rooms and food are everything you expect from Le Meridien. Employees at the front desk could not be nicer or more efficient and effective The guest rooms were spacious and quiet Breakfast buffet is really spectacular and servants are never far away for anything you need, like more coffee for your jet lag! We even ate dinner at the Italian restaurant....crazy to eat Italian in Thailand, but we got in late and the jet lag was crushing us.... Read more

First the good. As always with any Le Meridien I have stayed in the staff is excellent. Always willing to help in any way they can, very polite, and just all around enjoyable. The hotel is nice but nothing that stands out. Service was as you would expect from any Le Meridien so no complaints there. For the bad. We stayed in the Royal Club rooms on the 20th or 21st floor I can't remember for sure. There is absolutely nothing about the rooms and the supposed Royal Club room perks that are worth ... Read more

Overall, it was a good stay which met my expectations. Only kink was the power maintenance in the middle of the night which woke me up for 1.5hrs as there was no aircon. Grateful that they changed my room on the second night as the first room was too near the lift and affected my sleep. Great experience at the spa at a good 2hr deal at 1,999 baht for a scrub, message and facial.
