We stayed here at the end of December for 3 nights and found it to be a delightful hotel on the edge of the city. Staff : Very accomodating, all speak good English Breakfast : A buffet in a lovely setting by the riverside, you can order your eggs cooked how you like Rooms : Peaceful and cool, well maintained with all amentiies. In short - you wont be disappointed with this gem of a hotel.

This is a boutique hotel with great, big rooms. Breakfast was included in our room rate. Internet WAS spotty like all of the other reviews have been saying. The location is a little farther out from all the action but it's a quick 5 minute tuk tuk ride to the night market. I enjoyed staying here. I would say that the front desk needs to make clear what time check out is because we had an issue with them booking a cooking class for us until 1PM the day we checked out and not telling us that we ne... Our expectations were reasonably high when arriving at the Aruntara - my wife and I had booked a trip through a travel agent, and while we wanted to stay at the Meridien hotel we were told that we would enjoy the Aruntara instead, so we agreed to stay there. Based on the reviews online we were expecting a nice 4 star boutique hotel. This experience fell far short of our expectations for many reasons, as follows: Service: The staff at this hotel are friendly, but don't seem to be trained in pr... Read more

We stayed here 4 nights. Lovely location on the river. The staff is very accommodating. Their breakfast is delicious with a great assortment of tasty food. The spa was great too! The small pool is tucked away to the side, refreshing.

If you want good internet access do not stay here as, despite constant complaints, it was not rectified. Breakfast was of a 2 Star hotel standard. Poorly designed bath robes. Good service from pleasant Thai staff.

Absolutely lovely hotel but we were disappointed with our room. If you stay here make sure you book a suite which faces the garden and has an open balcony. We were booked into an Elephant Suite which faces the street and has no natural light in the room and the balcony is enclosed. The windows are covered with slatted shutters which cannot be opened. The room was very large and clean but dark. The hotel grounds are beautiful however we were unable to sit outside and enjoy the garden and pool ... Read more

We stayed in the "White Elephant Suite" in Sept. 2015 and loved what it offered --- the best and largest accommodation with a large balcony in the back of the property. You do pay a little more but you get much more luxury, privacy, space and best of all "River View". The hotel location is just a little bit out of the city center...but well worth it as long as you are aware of its short comings.

I stayed at this Boutique hotel 2x's before...it's on the Ping River, which makes breakfast a relaxed time to start the day. The Staff is and was, wonderful, polite, and professional. The traffic goes away, as soon as you enter the lobby. With the popular big name hotels, comes a loss for privacy, and in this Boutique, you will know it has both the location to downtown, and still give you a one on one type of attention. I'll go back.

We stayed for 5 nights. The hotel is lovely - Thai style with a beautiful lobby. Breakfast by the river was nice and the staff was very welcoming and helpful - especially the men with the whistles who help you back up the car into traffic! But there are two problems - the mosque and the hard beds. The hotel is near a mosque and the early morning call to prayer is loud - even with ear plugs in it woke us up around 5 am. Plus the beds are very hard. We've lived in Asia so we know that that ... Read more

Pros -Seriously stunning grounds and rooms. Right next to the river with lovely lawns -Great decoration throughout -Adequate breakfast, nice to eat next to river -Helpful staff (security guard would run to open door for you) -free bike hire Cons -Mattress was very hard -Around 10 minutes to main area but still easy enough (TIP -Use uber to get around, much cheaper than tuk tuk and taxi)
