This hotel is located beside the river and is a short ride away from the night market and old city (where the temples are). They offer a free nightly shuttle to the market and you can use a bike for free as well. They have good service and the place is pretty quiet, although there is a good bit of traffic on the streets in front of the hotel at times.

Great place to stay. Got the feeling that they truly care about your experience there. Comfortable rooms, pool and gardens with a view on the river. Great cocktails by the pool and possibility to eat outside! Private parking with very helpful personnel.

Room is nice, unfortunately a building view. But modern and look temporary. Inside the room is clean, spacious bathing area. Big bed (but too hard for me). Room layout is good. Breakfast is good with the river view.

We are a family of 4 and here for a short trip. Everything about this boutique hotel was fantastic. The staff were amazing and met all our needs. The place itself was lovely. The food was great and reasonably priced. My kids enjoyed the pool and they had fun playing games on the small patch of grass over looking the river. We had to leave really early for a morning flight and the staff packed a lovely breakfast for us to go. This is definitely one of the most pleasant stay I have ever had. The o... Read more

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable though the bed was a bit too firm. There was a large tub as well as a shower. The grounds of the hotel were beautifully manicured. We enjoyed time at the pool each day we were there. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is about a 30 min walk from the old city. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Even after I arrived home in the UK, I realised I'd left a dvd of photos from a trip. I emailed the hotel and they got to me straight away. The hotel is in a perfect location. Spa is amazing. Best hotel I've ever stayed in.

The hotel is beautiful. It feels secluded from the rest of the city when your inside, but not too far from the city proper. It's a smaller hotel, so it is not crowded with guests (atleast when we were there). Breakfast was amazing, service is top notch and the massage was the red carpet treatment. They really look after you. And the rooms are incredible to boot.

Recently stayed in Aruntara Hotel for 2nights and overall it was an awesome stay. The service in this hotel is really outstanding and they provide the true Thai hospitality. The hotel provides daily shuttle service to the night market which is very convenient. Nevertheless, you may also take a tuk-tuk for 10mins. Breakfast in the hotel has limited selection but its really delicous and you have a beautiful view of the river. However, my friend and I had a bad experience when dining in the restau... Read more

We have been here for 3 days and liked it very much. This is one of the best hotels I ever had for in this price category. All is clean and the people are very friendly and speak English on good level. We also liked he pool area because there is some nice grass area which is nice for the kids to play.

Beautiful big Thai style rooms and a picturesque spot on the river make this feel like an oasis in a big city. The breakfast by the river is the highlight (food is pretty decent) but the setting is excellent. Nice little pool and an excellent spa! It's a 10 minute tuk tuk to old town, so not as central as I would have liked but not too far out either. Would stay here again

Aruntara is a great option for those who wants to stay at an intimate cozy private hotel. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, beautiful location at a quiet spot right on the riverbank a short distance from the city center. Free shuttle rides to town every night and free bicycle rentals is also a bonus. Thank you to all the staff for taking so well care of us on our holiday!

We were in Chiang Mai for 4 days and 3 nights and loved our stay at Aruntara. The hotel is cozy and the staff is extremely friendly, they are more than willing to help you with whatever you may need! We loved our room and were more than pleased with everything. The location is great and they offer bicycles if you would like to ride around the city which is nice! Another great thing is they give you a card which has the address of the hotel written in Thai...makes it super easy to get home if you... Read more

This hotel was the most service oriented I have ever stayed at. The bent over backwards to do anything one wished. The food was very good and there were plenty of choices. The wine is mostly Australian and quite good. Much better that the wine they send here in my opinion. The staff made this stay. My wife said "when we go back to Thailand we will go to Chaing Mai just to stay in the Aruntara once again".
