Situated on the river Ping, about 10 minutes by taxi to the walled city. Very pleasant, friendly staff and clean quiet hotel. Reasonably priced. Can really chill out. Have breakfast and dinner next to the river, lovely swimming pool, spa and small gym. Would recommend this if looking for small, quiet place slightly out of the centre.

Great service, great hotel with beautiful outdoor dining by the river. Bfast by the river as the sun rises is a wonderful experience. Beautiful rooms! Pool was a bit cold though. only a short taxi (tuk tuk) ride to the city centre (for 100Bhat or US$3).

Our room in the Elephant suite was spacious and lovely. The staff was very helpful. The shower and bath area was especially nice and the grounds are beautiful. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of natural light in the room. The room has many windows, but most of them are covered by black shutters. It was nice to have the free shuttle to the night market.

Everything is beautiful here from a distance. But after staying there, I see how up close there can be a lot of issues. Our room's hot water wasn't working and it took 3 days for them to believe we were just idiots who couldn't wait 5 mins for it to get hot. It wasn't that the water didn't work that bothered us so much, but that they wouldn't listen to us every day when we complained. I felt like I had to get really angry in order for anyone to take us seriously and that really sucked. Eventuall... Read more

We spent two nights in this charming hotel during our honeymoon. The room was very nice, with colonial-style dark teak furniture, a lot of space for two people, toilet and bathroom. Good breakfast on river side.

This is a boutique hotel with great, big rooms. Breakfast was included in our room rate. Internet WAS spotty like all of the other reviews have been saying. The location is a little farther out from all the action but it's a quick 5 minute tuk tuk ride to the night market. I enjoyed staying here. I would say that the front desk needs to make clear what time check out is because we had an issue with them booking a cooking class for us until 1PM the day we checked out and not telling us that we ne... Our expectations were reasonably high when arriving at the Aruntara - my wife and I had booked a trip through a travel agent, and while we wanted to stay at the Meridien hotel we were told that we would enjoy the Aruntara instead, so we agreed to stay there. Based on the reviews online we were expecting a nice 4 star boutique hotel. This experience fell far short of our expectations for many reasons, as follows: Service: The staff at this hotel are friendly, but don't seem to be trained in pr... Read more

We stayed here 4 nights. Lovely location on the river. The staff is very accommodating. Their breakfast is delicious with a great assortment of tasty food. The spa was great too! The small pool is tucked away to the side, refreshing.

If you want good internet access do not stay here as, despite constant complaints, it was not rectified. Breakfast was of a 2 Star hotel standard. Poorly designed bath robes. Good service from pleasant Thai staff.
