This hotel is a little tired and would benefit from an upgrade. Breakfast was lovely with a great variety. I didn't feel any of the usual warmth you do when travelling in Thailand at this hotel however it was good for us for one night before travelling to Hua Hin. It is in a great location if you want to be able to grab a bite to eat if arriving late.

We stayed here for 5 nights. It is in a good location and the service was very good at the hotel. They were helpful when it came to directions and were efficient in assisting us. It was a good price, I highly recommend it. My only complaint is that they charge for Internet in the rooms, this seems a bit over the top. That is one reason I rated it very good and not excellent.

I had a king or super king bed (in an executive room) and the toilet had one of these super modern electronic wc. Staff was very kind and available all the time. They have sooo many people working in there. Rich breakfast for every taste

The hotel its very old, but in perfect location for reasonable price. Very bad its you can not open windows in the room. Breakfast are very nice, wifi worked perfect. High prices in cafe and restaurant. Overpriced for "visitors"

Tawana Bangkok Hotel is located in the central of Silom - a stone's throw to Patpong Night Bazaar and the street markets. The hotel itself looks very dated and the room is very old. Quite a few F&B outlets but slightly pricey compared to the restaurants and pubs nearby. Will consider other newer hotels in the area.

The people and location make the difference! The hotel is a bit dated but still elegant. From the door greeter, to the front desk, to the maid, all the staff members were enthusiastic while going about their job. Just a block over from Silom, everything you need is within walking distance. Dining, shopping, partying at Patpong. Heading somewhere else in Bangkok? Just jump on the BTS (skytrain) to avoid traffic and save quite a bit (at least in baht) compared to taking a taxi. The hotel's ... Read more

The location is great with the proximity of the night market and the wild life in Patpong. Staff is extremely helpful and most of the suggestions as to what to d and where to go turned out to great advise. Great breakfast and great food in the restaurant.

It's a beautiful place on a main road. I had a large room overlooking the pool. The room included a refrigerator and a safe. The refrigerator had plenty of room for my additions along with the usual mini bar things. There was plenty of hot water as well a good air conditioning.

Up to standard hotel with fully-equipped. The hotel seems long time establishment so far. They kept good maintenance. Staff polite and professionalism. Clean room, newly renovated bathroom. Air conditioned work well but a bit noisy.

An older and charming hotel with really wonderful staff. My only complaint was the harsh lighting in the rooms, but I am vain. Oh, also the laundry service was exceptionally expensive, so fair warning! Otherwise, excellent value.

This charming hotel is perfectly located in Bangkok. Public transportation is on a stow throw distance, Friendly staff. Breakfastbuffet is very well for all international clientele. This hotel has got a retro old school look but has got its charms. negative: Paying for internet (wifi) use is also retro but not the standard norm. Stop charging people for wifi.

My third stay this hotel. Old but good hotel with excellent location. Very nice pool area. Fitness room needs some updating. Also staff behind the desk are not so friendly as my latest stays. Staff under the bell are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good but expensive ( 500thb). You might got -50% discount coupon which helps a lot.

The buffet is 750baht, expensive in terms of Thailand, but the quality of the food did not match up. The high price seemed to be because they had a huge variety, but it wasn't good quality and we heard other guests complain about their meals too. So next, I decided to try something from the menu instead, a Thai green chicken curry. I don't see how a chef at a 4 star restaurant would be able to mess up a national delicacy... I was wrong. I had eaten better curries at various street vendors for a... Read more

Nice hotel with modern amenities in the middle of Silom. Perfect spot for night owls but jams here might be bad getting anywhere else during peak hours. Walking distance to lots of eateries serving both local and western food. Pool is small though if you are a swimming enthusiast.

This Hotel is very well located, near Silom Road, Pat Pong Night Market, Sala Daeng Skytrain Station and Silom or Sai Yai MTR stations. Nice staff, rooms and good foos in the Sideway Restaurant. Friendly atmosphere created particularly from Friday to Monday thanks to the trio of musicians and the great Singer, Susan. Try it next time you are in Krung Thep, the real name of Bangkok.

Stayed here Aug.24-26/16. Have stayed here several times. Staff are friendly, helpful, and speak reasonable English. Breakfast buffet is ok, but preferred to eat elsewhere for lunch and dinner. Will stay again.

Have been staying at this hotel for many times. Close to Patpong and Saladaeng train station. Check-in was smooth. Had to pay 1000baht as deposit. Room was clean, and service is up to standard. However, I am not a fussy traveller. Beds are made each day. Breakfast however was average. With many street stalls open in the morning (to cater for the office crowd) along the road, I would usually buy food and eat it there or bring it up to the hotel. Hence, future bookings will be made without bre... Read more

This hotel is excelent located across the road of the night market and the "red lights' area, bars, restaurants and not far from the MBK mall. Smiling staff, breakfast local food (like rice and noodles) but also eggs made by the chef, the ham and sausage not so good. This is a 4 or 5 star hotel, so it is very good and not expensive.

To some people, this hotel may have passed its prime, things are looking old and a little shabby. However, don't let the facade clouds your judgement. I was glad to have given it a try. was not disappointed at all, I felt the service they provided could compare to some of the 4 to 5 star hotels. I booked a suite room, which was practically 2 adjoining rooms in one! It's really huge, with one room devoted as a lounge area, then other as the bedroom, this was incredible for the price paid. Really enjoyed my last stay at the Tawana. In fact just booked another stay in March of 2017 because of my past experiences. Great service, helpful staff and delicious buffet breakfast with both Western and Eastern fare. Good location near the Pat Pong nite market and near the metro system. It is a value priced hotel that I rate as 4 star.

I stayed in a deluxe room for four nights. As a regular visitor to Bangkok, I had not stayed at this hotel before, but I thought I would this time. I must say that I was very impressed. I know the location very well, one that I have no problem walking around and have always felt safe during the day or night. The BTS is a 5 minute walk, and there are multiple cafes, restaurants and massage shops within a few minutes walk from the hotel. The room was quite large and contained a bath and showe... Read more

its a very old hotel. the room was old and smelly. Some serious refurbishing must be done. I complaint about the old smelly room the next day to a manager on duty but was ignored. The manager's attitude was rude as well. Will not come back again.
