This hotel a as fine as the chain's reputation. The understated beauty is very soothing in this wonderful but frantic city. The decor, service and location are superb We always choose a Penninsula hotel.

We stayed here for 1 night only (unfortunately) in suite 2204 and loved it! The service, thoughtful touches around the rooms, in room checkin were fabulous! We arranged for Peninsula's airport transfers both ways and what a great way to travel ;). Our view was amazing and so was the boat that swiftly dropped us across the river and back. Wish we had more time at the hotel to really enjoy it! The people of Thailand are the most outstanding part of our 10 day stay.

We had a very nice stay here. I booked With Visa Signature concierge and I received all the advertised perks (room upgrade, free breakfast buffet, 3 pm checkout and $25 food and beverage credit), although everything besides the breakfast I had to ask for specifically at check-in. We were upgraded one category to a balcony room with a great view of Bangkok, especially at night. The room was huge, spotless and incredibly well-appointed. I had experienced 5-star service before but none has ever equalled the two days I spent at the Peninsula / Bangkok. The 5-star privilege commonly caters for luxury in extra details and comfort as well as an uncomparable quality of service. Needless to say, that The Peninsula / Bangkok fully complies to these criteria. But what makes it even more different is the overwhelming effort and passion with which this is carried out. Even before being greeted on the premises, I had received several Email... Read more

We were a family of 6 on vacation for 10 days in Thailand and Cambodia. Our first stop was Bangkok and we had three rooms at the Peninsula. It was top notch in most respects. The staff at the hotel were all friendly. The rooms were large and the bathrooms were double sinks which is very helpful in the morning. We had a balcony room which while nice, is not practical in the heat of May. The breakfasts had everything that one could want. Everything was fresh and well prepared. I used the... Read more

You know that when you visit a Peninsula Hotel your high expectations will be met. What you don't realize is that The Peninsula, Bangkok is the gold standard. Truly the staff is here to make you happy. The rooms are perfectly appointed. The food is spectacular. Room service, perfection. If all this is not enough, The Spa is something not to be missed. I recommend the Khushalli Reviving Signature Journey, which for a weary traveler makes a huge difference with jet-lag. This splendid Hotel ... Read more

High class from beginning to end. The service is superb. Five restaurants, more than you need for a short stay. The hotel is on the wrong side of the river but there is a service of ferry all day long. The crossing only take a few minutes. By wrong side, I mean that the sites are all close to china town and the old city witch are on the opposite river bank from the hotel. I suggest a room with balcony and a view of the river. Not that expensive if you are in the low season. Concierge service ... Read more

I was backpacking around Thailand with short stays at resorts. I went from paying $10 per night to dinner at the Peninsula. The service was over the top from the time we stepped off the elevator. We spent a small fortune for dinner, but it was worth every penny. The food was great, but is was the service that made an impression.

This hotel really is one of the best around, and will always be my first point of call when staying in Bangkok. all I would say is that from previous visits to this hotel I found the service in the bars and restaurants really slow. 20 minutes to get a beer to the table from point of ordering. Other than that its flawless.

Almost perfect. Great to awesome: location, service, decor, cleanliness, room layout, room views, breakfast buffet, pool, value, pillows The only flaw is the fact that the bed mattresses are not 5-star; more like 3 star (our family all agreed on this). Would we stay here again? Yes.

I did visit the hotel once again for a five night stay while I had to attend a workshop close by. I was given the same room type as my previous visits and the service was as usual excellent. I did ask the concierge prior my visit to assist me in getting a good tailor to the hotel as I needed a dinner suit for a gala dinner event and this was handled well and the tailor they suggested was of high quality and the suits given were fantastic and on time. I have visited Bangkok at least 30 times for the past 10 years and this was the very first time we stayed at The Peninsula Bangkok due to the perception about the location as I thought it will be troublesome to travel across Chao Praya River daily. I have to admitted that I was totally wrong as the boat transfer every 5 to 10 minutes was super convenient and the view along the transfer was scenic. Best pool in Bangkok in my opinion (yes it can get a little warm during the hot season as its in full sun but that didn't bother me any). The Peninsula is a calm, cool oasis in the middle of buzzy Bangkok. We travelled straight from the airport. The hotel can arrange a pre-booked taxi but these are expensive (5, 500 Thai Baht round trip). We got one from the airport taxi system itself, which was reliable, clean and far better priced. We stayed in a suite which was very plush. It included a marble bathroom, bathrobes, fresh fruit, flowers, a separate lounge area. It made for a very comfortable stay. The bedrooms themselves have... We just returned from a stay at the Peninsula Bangkok. We were initially given two connecting rooms on a lower floor. The rooms were outdated and not in the best condition. We were then moved to a suite and a connecting room on the higher floor which was much nicer. This had apparently been renovated. The service was fantastic throughout our stay. We are frequent travellers to Bangkok, and I doubt you'd find a better hotel in Thailand. It was the service which we remarked on as being exemplary. We loved the way the staff remembered us and were interested in what we had done. The Concierge team were amazing and we were the sort of tricky guests planning an off-the-beaten-track and 'can you suggest a good, clean local Thai massage? Our room a Grand Deluxe, Suite was perfect. We enjoyed the extra space and the views over the river. The lit... Read more

Again 3 nights in The Peninsula Bangkok. And it won´t be the last ones. Everything is perfect. It is not only the luxury, it is the staff making the stay here amazing. For example: We´ve been to the Thiptara Restaurant and I asked for Tod Man Plaa, but they changed the menu; so it wasn´t available. On the next evening, we had again dinner in Thiptara and they presented especially for us Tod Man Plaa - thank you very much for this gorgeous service. We have stayed here four times in the last eighteen years. The service is above and beyond all the others. You cannot beat the location on the Chao Phraya River. The last visit my daughter was looking for polymer clay. The concierge found a store to purchase but we didn't have time in the traffic to get there before they closed. They had a courier pick up the clay and deliver to our hotel for a nominal fee ($35 for 10 kg clay and delivery). All other five star hotels do not touch the service ... Read more

Breathtaking views of the Chao Phraya ad the city, dusk at the bar terrace, dawn on the balcony.... More importantly this hotel is the real thing: luxury without pretension, attention to detail and guest service, flawless in every sense. We found the shuttle service across the river really convenient and made the stay on this side of the river worth it.

I mean that in the nicest possible way. Of course you can moan about the late 80s/early 90s Dynasty decor but I think it added to the charm. I loved the fact that in the marble bathroom with in built cathode ray tube television, I could envision Joan Collins putting on her vampish lipstick. The service was impeccable, really reflected Thai hospitality and was not at all contrived or stuffy. This was our first stop on a S E Asian tour. The hotel is fabulous. I had a beautiful balcony suite. The room was huge. The bathroom with separate bath and shower was larger than my first apartment. I arrived at lunch time and not surprisingly had to wait for my room to be ready. It was near the top of the 38 floor building and had great views over Bangkok. The room was more than ample for one. I was a bit concerned about being on the opposite side of the river from what seemed to be the center but the complimentary and frequent water taxi service owned and operated by the hotel made location a nonissue. Let's start with the positive features: the hotel has an exquisite old-world colonial charm, the rooms are large and mostly well-equipped, (although the technology is out-of-date), and the sports facilities are excellent.
