My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon during our 4 days in Bangkok. Airport Pick-Up and Drop-Off We reserved a car pickup from the airport and we were so happy we did this. The car was nice, air conditioned, and even played movies in the event traffic was really bad. Our car ride took 1 hr to get to the hotel instead of 40 minutes due to traffic, so we watched a movie. The car also has wifi which was probably the best part. When we were returning to the airport the service was just as... Read more

I loved my time in the okura, my room was perfect, plenty of space - gorgeous bathroom and very cleanly. The sky bar was great - we spent most nights in there and the cocktails were lovely. They had a woman with a band singing too - it was lovely, set a gorgeous atmosphere. The infinity pool was great, very tranquil and I spent a few hours up here just de stressing. The staff were so attentive and really enhanced the whole experience.

The hotel couldn't get me a smoking room which was frustrating, but I can't fault them for that. I had the wrong booking. There's no denying that The Okura is one of the best hotels that I've stayed at in Bangkok. The level of service is exceptional as are their rooms. The food was top notch too. The hotel is right next to Ploenchit station, which makes it ideal if you travel by train (which you definitely should in Bangkok). The Okura is next to Plaza Athenee hotel. Room is excellent, lovely amenities including bathroom amenities, coffee machine and loose leaf green tea 4. Staff very professional and courteous 5. This hotel truly made me happy to come home to at the end of a long day of meetings. The rooms are massive, well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The staff is very accommodating and lovely. Location is great and the "traditional" breakfast buffet is probably one of the best I've experienced in the world. Fresh fruit, made to order pho or soupy noodles (depending on the day) and omelettes, dim sum, congee, you name it. They had it. If you are a non smoker make sure you ask for a non s... Read more

Stayed there for 2 nights in deluxe room with my husband. The hotel lobby is on the 24th floor of the building, with other floors below being offices. The hotel has a separate entrance and lifts with direct access to the lobby, and thereafter, designated lifts to the hotel rooms. The whole feel of the hotel is exclusive and business skewed. Upon check-in, the hotel allowed us to go to our room despite us arriving early at around 11am and knowing our return flight is at 7pm, they automatically ... Read more

unfortunately stayed only one night after my first time at Okura a few years ago. Unrivalled location and great service. Concierge K. Natt is all you could ever want to ask of someone knowing the city. Pricing is slightly higher than other hotels in that part of Bangkok, yet the quality of the product and service do justify.

This hotel is filled with lots of Japan-styled decor and hospitality. It definitely made us felt like we were in Japan. One of the best things of the stay was the breakfast. Every morning, it was a choice of a Japanese set breakfast or a Continental buffet breakfast (served in different restaurant). The Japanese set was a warm & simple meal of fish, rice, appetiser, miso soup and dessert. The buffet breakfast consists of self-served items or a few special order-to-serve dishes. We decided to go back to the Okura Prestige after our last stay two years ago (see previous review). I am happy to report that it remains an excellent hotel and they seem to have maintained the property quite well as I did not see any noticeable signs of wear-and-tear on the facilities. As per my review on our previous stay, it benefits from a convenient central location next to a BTS station, well-designed room and good service. My expectations were high after seeing the high ratings on Booking.com and Tripadvisor, but I can assure you they were not only met but exceeded. The check-in experience was great and everyone was exceptionally friendly. The room itself was quite comfortable with a blend of modernity, Japanese culture, and a home-like feel. The rain shower was fantastic and quickly reached the perfect temperature. The bath salts were great. The smart room controls for all the lighting and temperature were cool. ... Read more

I was in BKK last year in July 2015, at the end of my trip around Vietnam and a Cambodia... I had already been in BKK but for the first time I have found a great hotel with Japanese design and concept! I loved it immediately. Room was nice, very clean and spacious and a fantastic view on the city. Japanese restaurant and breakfast were delicious. Good location and connected to shopping malls (Prada, etc...)! ?? A good place where to stay comfortable in BKK.

The Okura Prestige Bangkok is part of the Park Ventures Ecoplex. Reception is on 24/F but no problem there as staff stationing on the G/F took our luggage and accompanied us to do the check-in upstairs. Between the hotel and the office building, there is a mall with a 7-11 store, a Dean & Deluca Cafe and a Boots shop. Convenient location as it is connected to the BTS Phloen Chit Station (Green Line). One station away is Chit Lom where the famous Central World is situated. Another station ahead i... Read more

Room was very well appointed and very luxurious amenities. Staff were friendly. Thought breakfast quality was a little disappointing, while the spread was decent and you can order eggs from your table, the quality was definitely lacking. Taste was off. And this is in stark contrast with my previous stay in Shangrila near the river. The breakfast spread there was 3x more and was much more delicious. I will not pay for breakfast again here. We stayed at Okura prestige for one week in July. The check in and check out is smooth, hotel organized two rooms next to each other as we requested & had cots set up with baby toiletries. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We also had breakfast and dinner at Yamazato and Up & above, the breakfast is great in both restaurants. We also had best teppanyaki at the Yanazato, but dinner @ up& above is just average! Hotel also located next to BTS Ploenchit station, it has under covered acc... Read more

My family and I were debating between the Okura Prestige Bangkok and another nearby hotel but concluded with the decision to stay at the Okura. We enjoyed every part of our stay. Located 23 stories above, the lobby delivered everything you could imagine in a large hotel, yet provided a feeling of a boutique hotel. From check in to check out, all staff members presented professionalism and willingness to assist with any requests. Rooms were relatively large and had beautiful views of the city. I ... Read more

I stayed in Okura Prestige Bangkok for long weekend with my friend. Okura is not a western style hotel, Okura remains a Japan classic with very good service quality and comfortable interaction between guests and staffs. We stayed her for 2 nights, I loved the gym and sauna which is very clean. Also recommend to have breakfast , worthy to try. Nearby BRT, very convenient location.

Decided to stay at Okura for a second time despite the higher prices but the high quality service and excellent location were definitely worth it. We stayed in a club room and the attentive and friendly staff went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The birthday cake waiting in the room was a really nice touch. It would have been perfect if fresh coconuts were still on the breakfast buffet spread.

Visitors in Bangkok city are spoilt for choices when it comes to luxury hotels. There seems to be a five-star hotel at every turn of the street and yet more are being built with the new Park Hyatt scheduled to open at the end of the year and Hotel Nikko next year. The reason why we chose Okura is because it is relatively new and superbly located in the heart of the shopping belt. We stayed in a normal room which was lovely, looked like the pictures, and definitely had some adorable Japanese flare. Traditional tea and pots, decor, and origami on the bed after turn-down. Modern, everything you need, nice infinity pool, great discreet service. Haven't eaten there but restaurants were not busy during our visits, bar mostly empty. One of the disadvantages is that many taxi drivers do not know the place so you end up explaining them the location.
