My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon during our 4 days in Bangkok. Airport Pick-Up and Drop-Off We reserved a car pickup from the airport and we were so happy we did this. The car was nice, air conditioned, and even played movies in the event traffic was really bad. Our car ride took 1 hr to get to the hotel instead of 40 minutes due to traffic, so we watched a movie. The car also has wifi which was probably the best part. When we were returning to the airport the service was just as... Read more

I loved my time in the okura, my room was perfect, plenty of space - gorgeous bathroom and very cleanly. The sky bar was great - we spent most nights in there and the cocktails were lovely. They had a woman with a band singing too - it was lovely, set a gorgeous atmosphere. The infinity pool was great, very tranquil and I spent a few hours up here just de stressing. The staff were so attentive and really enhanced the whole experience.

The hotel couldn't get me a smoking room which was frustrating, but I can't fault them for that. I had the wrong booking. There's no denying that The Okura is one of the best hotels that I've stayed at in Bangkok. The level of service is exceptional as are their rooms. The food was top notch too. The hotel is right next to Ploenchit station, which makes it ideal if you travel by train (which you definitely should in Bangkok). The Okura is next to Plaza Athenee hotel. Room is excellent, lovely amenities including bathroom amenities, coffee machine and loose leaf green tea 4. Staff very professional and courteous 5. This hotel truly made me happy to come home to at the end of a long day of meetings. The rooms are massive, well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The staff is very accommodating and lovely. Location is great and the "traditional" breakfast buffet is probably one of the best I've experienced in the world. Fresh fruit, made to order pho or soupy noodles (depending on the day) and omelettes, dim sum, congee, you name it. They had it. If you are a non smoker make sure you ask for a non s... Read more

Stayed there for 2 nights in deluxe room with my husband. The hotel lobby is on the 24th floor of the building, with other floors below being offices. The hotel has a separate entrance and lifts with direct access to the lobby, and thereafter, designated lifts to the hotel rooms. The whole feel of the hotel is exclusive and business skewed. Upon check-in, the hotel allowed us to go to our room despite us arriving early at around 11am and knowing our return flight is at 7pm, they automatically ... Read more

unfortunately stayed only one night after my first time at Okura a few years ago. Unrivalled location and great service. Concierge K. Natt is all you could ever want to ask of someone knowing the city. Pricing is slightly higher than other hotels in that part of Bangkok, yet the quality of the product and service do justify.

This hotel is filled with lots of Japan-styled decor and hospitality. It definitely made us felt like we were in Japan. One of the best things of the stay was the breakfast. Every morning, it was a choice of a Japanese set breakfast or a Continental buffet breakfast (served in different restaurant). The Japanese set was a warm & simple meal of fish, rice, appetiser, miso soup and dessert. The buffet breakfast consists of self-served items or a few special order-to-serve dishes. We decided to go back to the Okura Prestige after our last stay two years ago (see previous review). I am happy to report that it remains an excellent hotel and they seem to have maintained the property quite well as I did not see any noticeable signs of wear-and-tear on the facilities. The check-in experience was great and everyone was exceptionally friendly. The room itself was quite comfortable with a blend of modernity, Japanese culture, and a home-like feel. This is a very sharp property with exceptional staff and marvelous rooms. There's a large tub if you want a soak that shares a wet room area with a spacious shower. The lobby lounge is very nice, and if you're looking for something to munch on, I'd highly recommend the duck appetizer from the Yamazato restaurant that is served in the lounge. The infinity pool that hangs outside the building from the 25th floor is awesome.

I had one criteria during my first trip to Bangkok and that was a hotel with an infinity pool overlooking the Bangkok skyline. Cue appearance: Okura Prestige. Thank you to all reviewers who have not lead me astray! Impeccable service, luxurious elegance, tranquil spaces, and equally important - conveniently located! We booked with Club Lounge Access and felt especially cared for when we immediately wanted to extend our stay. We enjoyed free snacks and beverages in the afternoon and exceptional ... Read more

I like the location whereby is connected to the BTS. Shopping and food places are around the hotel. The front desk staff are definitely friendly and professional. Room and bathroom meet my expectation in terms of cleanliness, size and comfort. As for the breakfast, I was disappointed in the selection, taste and service. I asked for a Thai Milk Tea but was given a english milk tea. When I asked the server about it, she could not reply because she does not understand english. We did not try... Read more

Beautiful architecture and decor. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Great infinity pool on the 25th floor. On my recent business trip to Bangkok I stayed at Okura Prestige. And it is undoubtedly one of my best stays overseas. Located near Sukhumvit road it‚??s convenient for both business and leisure activities. All guest rooms are 25 floors above street level. I was on the 28th floor offering spectacular view across downtown Bangkok. The hotel staff is extremely polite. Although their English can be bettered for ease of communication. We used to stay in the hotels by the river when we went to Bangkok over the past few years. But the hassle of getting to places through heavy traffic steered us away this time. This hotel was recommended by a friend for its easy access to BTS and shopping malls along the skywalk. Since we stayed in the club floor, we could enjoy free cocktails/ snack in the evenings. Well, Bangkok is busy, dirty, chaotic, but not The Okra Prestige Bangkok. It is an oasis you just need there. It was a real rescue and the best retreat for us in Bangkok, definitely. Also the excellent food in the hotel's amenities as well as those "around the corner" remain an unforgettable reminiscence.

Very good room and service. The infinite pool is incredible! The hotel is at a very convenient location and the breakfast is fresh with all the standard choices. Although they have a Japanese breakfast option but it was just ok. The Japanese tea in the room is a very surprising good feature. Overall a very good business hotel.

Always delighted to stay at The Okura Prestige in Bangkok, everything runs smoothly from the moment one checks-in, Japanese efficiency at it's best! The staff in the restaurants, bar and by the pool are friendly, attentive but unobtrusive, hallmarks of Thai hospitality! The hotel is centrally located and conveniently connected to the BTS network. Had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok!

The hotel is everything you would expect from a five star hotel. The staff are indeed exceptional, but for us our stay there has been a huge disappointment, there is no sunlight for sunbathing at the pool area or any outdoor space for walking or sitting. We are now having to pay £32 per day to access a nearby hotel pool to sunbathe, which the Okura are not willing to compensate for. So yes hotel ticks all the boxes bar this major one for us.

This is a typical upscale hotel, I wouldn't say there's anything particularly special. I would normally give an average rating but for the fact that the hotel nickel and dimes you every step of the way. For instance, the hotel advised me that pickup from the airport in a taxi would be $35. They offered to send a private car for $70 - what they called double. I opted for Uber - the cost was under $10. I was entirely misled from the get-go, but figured perhaps this was just Uber having a good pri... Read more

This was my second stay at the Okura this year, the last being in March. (I travel to Thailand 3 - 4 times a year on business.) I gave the hotel 4 stars then. Based on this stay, I'm afraid I can only manage three. And I really wanted to give it a better rating, because in many ways it is a very good hotel. So, why the downgrade? Firstly, they did not recognize or acknowledge me as a returning guest. Not a big deal personally, but poor for a 5 star hotel. If you don't know who your repea... Read more
