My wife and I stayed for a week in February and were given mates rates due to a previous visit which was good. Had half expected the hotel to have been refurbished from our previous visit but found nothing had changed. Did have a problem with a lack of hot water to shower with on a couple of mornings and it would seem that if you are not an early riser then the hot water seems to run out at about 8 - 8.30 am. This was reported to front desk but it's just one of those things you find with an ol... Read more

I have stayed here many, many times over the past few years, and always find the staff very welcoming and the reception, cashier are always very helpful, but this time I did notice that the hotel is now looking very tired and dated.,Nothing has been done for years The bedrooms especially need some attention, I was in room 707 and the bed cover and curtains have never changed for years, and the carpet in this room was a disgrace, it was dirty, stained and was full of cigarette burns. Might be time... Read more

Me and my husband just recently stayed here at the Tarntawan and I have to say how extremely pleased we were all round. All the staff were so welcoming and the service was acceptional. Our room was lovely, with a bath tub and THE MOST comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Also the location was perfect for us, right in the middle of everything you need. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

Many times at this hotel in the past years. Every times I feel like coming home because of the friendlyness of the staff. Starting from the nice welcoming at the door, at the reception and special the very nice guy at the elevator. And many times I could get the same room and I could feel very comfortable. Many thanks to all of you.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Its location is its best asset. Near to many entertainment, shopping and eating places. And walking distance to several train stations, so it is easy to move around. Staff are friendly, but not overly service oriented. Had to catch their attention to get coffee or refill during breakfast. And breakfast was quite average. Rooms have been refurbished, with flat screen TV and several English channels. Free wifi available everywhere. But signals could be weak in some ... Read more

This hotel was arranged by the organiser of my trip - this is the first time I am staying in this hotel. For the price I am paying (I only found out when I checked out) - I will most probably give this hotel a miss in the future. Location wise, this is an excellent place, right smack in the middle of the happening places (night life that is) and massage place abound here. My organiser swear by the massage place to the right of the entrance, distinguishable by their white and green uniform, I d... Read more

It won't be to everyone's taste. If you yearn for plate glass and lofty airy foyers and chilled out cocktail bars full of Euro jetsetters head over the road to the Meridian and spend 3 times as much. But if what you want is a reasonable local gay-friendly hotel that's been doing roaring trade to a loyal clientele for the last two decades come and stay here. The staff are adorable. The lift guy is wildly welcoming and friendly. To be honest the quality of the rooms does vary... some have been ref... Read more

The place just seems dark & dingy when you walk in the door. Carpets are kind of old & frayed. Water & air conditioning are great. The staff are very friendly & helpful. I didn't like the fully stocked mini bar. A few items are nice, but the fridge was jammed full & had to emptied to put my stuff in.

I extended my holiday "layover" for several days and decided to stay in Bangkok. Looking online I discovered Tarntawan Place. This boutique property is situated near the Patpong Night Market and is a gem of a value. Though not exquisite in decor or amenities, the Tarntawan makes up for these with service and value. The breakfast is excellent, the staff friendly and Enlish-speaking! I had the hotel arrange transports to and from the hotel, help with taxis and recommendations of where to go e... Read more

This would have been a semi stylish hotel 20 or 30 years ago. The location is excellent, the staff are great and the room clean, but this place desperately needs renovation or at least some money spent on it. I suppose considering the location and the price, for budget accomodation it is reasonable value for money.

The location of this hotel is good if you're looking a good place to stay close to bars and night market. Many options to eat, by groceries, drugstores and street food. Hotel infrastructure is old but is well maintained, probably it needs some upgrades. We stayed there for a couple of nights and we actually be only used the hotel to sleep since we were sightseeing all day long.
