Friendly staff helped us organise our next flight, amazing views from the 20th floor, and super comfy bed. Stayed in room 2005 which had a slight smell of mildew but humidity is so high it's no surprise. Air con worked perfectly and breakfast was delicious!

If we had gone to the Grand China 20 years ago I think we would have been amazed. Nothing wrong with the hotel - was clean and good service; it just felt like the rooms, bars and restaurants were tired and worn out. WiFi is incredibly slow. Location is superb - we could walk down to the ferry and see all we wanted to from there. Bathrooms are tiny and have a weird open plan shower that makes it impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom. Nice view from the balcony. The pool is tiny, s... Read more

The hotel has been done to a high standard. Unfortunately this must of been a good few years ago. The reception and entrance area is very nice, with lots of helpful friendly staff. The dining staff were a little miserable, and not very friendly though. The bedroom was nice but dated, as was the bathroom. Could do with a deep clean, as the pictures show. I personally think the hotel is a good 3* these days. The location is great, centred in china town, with lots of great street food nearby. Its a... Read more

This hotel is 2 star by western standards, not worth the ridiculous charge rates. What a horrible stay I had here, within the first hour I was dreading staying there 3 nights. Upon checkin the guy barley looked at me, just handed me key & went about doing other things. Okay, it's 11pm, guess I'll let that bad intro slip....Get the room & bad turns to horrible. The room absolutely stank (I would describe as damp), since they do not prepare your room, there was NO air con on for who knows how lon... Read more

I can't believe I spent two nights in this hotel: advised from my travel agent for my honeymoon, it is the biggest regret of my trip! Room torn and dirty, windows in horrific conditions, staff unhelpful and non-empathic at all. Avoid at all cost! (avoid also Chinatown area because it is really disgusting, there is so much better in Bangkok)

For our first time in Bangkok what an experience. Chinatown is an amazing hive of activity all the time. Loved it. The hotel is comfortable with a load of eating varieties under one roof, the revolving restaurant is a must what a wonderful view of the city at night. The roof top pool is a great addition for a cool down swim on a humid day we were in there everyday and we had the pool all to ourselves. Billy the limo driver is a fantastic asset to the hotel, such a wonderful man who took us ... Read more

Didn't stay here but checked out the view from revolving restaurant which wasn't revolving when we were there staff were a little bit rude as I think we arrived for just a drink and to take in the view while they were setting up for a function not made to feel welcome at all. Over priced drinks as well

The Skyview Restaurant Sweet and helpful staff, two for one bottled wine (??????) and nice live music fitted to the atmosphere in the restaurant. Of course a beautiful view and with no seating-time (that day) it was possible to see the whole city in just one dinner ;-) The food was fine. Everything was more or less perfect :-)

This hotel would have been very impressive in the 1980s but badly needs renovations. We stayed for 4 nights. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and the concierge also. The sky bar allows for excellent views of Bangkok. Rooms were clean. The bathrooms need updating and some of the fittings were quite rusty. The area the hotel is in, China Town is very cultural but it takes an age to travel any distance with all the street sellers and the air is eager pungent.

staff were excellent helpful from the moment we arrived ,room was spacious and clean would defanatley return there only drawback was poor internet connection seemed better on ground floor than where we were on the eighteenth floor, the view overlooking the city was a bonus you could also dine on the roof with a 360 degree view of the city. breakfast was included staff again very helpful and polite food continental or thai not to everyones liking.

Dinner at Chinatown, between the main train station (Hualompong) and the Mae Nam Chao Praya river boat (#5) at the midlle of Thanon Yaworat there is this hotel with a (360º view)Great restaurant at the top!

The Room we stayed in was quite good - clean and good condition, mattress on the beds was very firm, and only 2 channels on tv were in English however not a big deal as we weren't in the room that much. Starbucks in the hotel foyer and a few shops also. The location of this hotel wasn't great this was our second visit to Bangkok and the previous hotel we stayed in was a lot better location 5-10min walk to street markets and a wide variety of restaurants. Grand China is in the heart of China town... Read more

We just came here to the revolving restaurant at the top after a wander aroundn Chinatown and a bite to eat and had a couple of 'Drunken Sacks'! A super place to see the city from with an ever changing view. Tasty cocktails and good service.

We stayed in the Grand China Hotel for 3 nights. The pool was a bit of a disappoint ment. It is 6x3 meters and although you can sit in it you can not use it for swimming. Furthermore the hotel lacks a personal/relaxed atmosphere ... only people in the lobby that want to earn money. Breakfast was ok, just as the room. For this price there are better options in Bankok.

I stayed in this hotel on saturday night. It's quite busy around the surrounding area with food hawkers and stalls alongside Yaowaraj street. There was tiger dancing and procession show for tourists. The hotel is old but facilties are of its standard making I feel comfortable . The space of room is plenty , just 6rooms /floor,with the wide mirror windows on 2 adjoining sides, great view of city both daytime and nighttime.

Once you've done all the Wats, Palaces and Museums this is bit of a treat. Relax and reflect, whilst taking in the view. This is a Def go to on your itinerary. A lovely Hotel amidst Bangkok's China Town. I'm sure there are other restaurants with better food, but this has the best view! Worth a visit.

Not a bad little hotel, the reception area and lobby of the hotel is the only annoying, people want to assist you so much that you get harassed constantly by possible hawkers? over friendly much ? Concierge assistance is very helpful and not over friendly, Sugan helped and advised very efficiently.

A bit out of town but the hidden jewel surrounded by such poverty. English not that great but as helpful as they could be. They're a bit sticky about changing crumpled money at reception. Clean, and friendly.

what has happened to this hotel? having been there over 8 times. i stay there nearly every time i go to Bangkok. it is 9 months since i was there last. they have improve the outside of the hotel. but the rooms need a big cleanup. they need painting, the tiles on the small veranda out side where all lifting. if you did not watch out you would trip over. the pool is still hard to get to. but don't think you can swim in it,no good for kids, but the views from there are fantastic. the staff do the ... Lovely breakfast, as much as you wanted to eat. Nice large and comfortable double room. Staff were very friendly. A little bit far from the tourist attractions such as Grand Palace and the expat area but located in lively Chinatown.
