This hotel is located in the middle of bustling China Town. It's an easy walk to the ferry to visit other parts of the city. The hotel has a small pool on the rooftop which we enjoyed after a busy Bangkok day. Fantastic views over the city. The room was not special but clean and comfortable, the airco worked fine and the shower was hot. There was free tea and coffee and a fridge in the room. There is a Starbucks at the ground floor which suited us well for breakfast. I would stay here again wh... Read more

The hotel is in Chinatown and close to the river and pier.Great location barely makes up for the old, tired worn out and pricey rooms. The bathrooms are terrible and ours had a rotten ceiling, dirty showers with shoddy repairs. Our slider to the balcony was replaced by an amateur and was very easy to force open so security would be an issue if you had a dodgy neighbor. It has a pool and the breakfasts are nice.Service was very good.We would think twice next time in Bangkok as we think we can do be... Read more

I have reviewed the Grand China hotel twice before and find that on each visit the hotel has improved even more. Most rooms have been refurbished but some are still undergoing makeovers. The deluxe room I had was spacious, clean and cool. The balcony was ideal for hanging out wet bathers or drying t-shirts. The breakfasts are varied and extremely tasty. The 10th floor restaurant, where breakfast is served, has been refurbished and is now very pleasant. On the 5th floor there is a mini foo... Read more

Friendly staff helped us organise our next flight, amazing views from the 20th floor, and super comfy bed. Stayed in room 2005 which had a slight smell of mildew but humidity is so high it's no surprise. Air con worked perfectly and breakfast was delicious!

If we had gone to the Grand China 20 years ago I think we would have been amazed. Nothing wrong with the hotel - was clean and good service; it just felt like the rooms, bars and restaurants were tired and worn out. WiFi is incredibly slow. Location is superb - we could walk down to the ferry and see all we wanted to from there. Bathrooms are tiny and have a weird open plan shower that makes it impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom. Nice view from the balcony. The pool is tiny, s... Read more
