Ideally placed at the end (at present) of the "blue"metro line which connects to the "sky-train" and airport line, so a cheap and speedy way to the centre of Bangkok without the traffic jams on the roads. Opposite the Central Railway station. Rooms comfortable and air conditioning works well. Food and drinks are a bit on the high side, but there are plenty of other options. Customer service is very patchy and an early check in is probably unlikely even with a request, but to be fair they did s... Read more

The location is very good, although some taxis didn't know of the hotel. Not far from Chinatown and some temples. The hotel is a weird layout, you have to go up in an elevator to reception, then get another lift to room so sometimes there was a lot of queuing for lifts and our room had no windows, I was anxious of this and did ask for an upgrade but they wanted a lot of money so we stuck with it, the room was actually quite big and very nice. The breakfast had a good selection, sometimes a littl... Read more

Hotel is just over the road from the main station in Bangkok. It is also just around the corner from China town which is great to have a walk around. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It was very nice. Downside is that there is not a pool. It's so hot there it would have been nice. Also the beers were quiet expensive when compared to bars and restaurants in town. Other than that it was a good night's sleep. I would stay here again.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I was traveling with my mother and cousin and we spent 4-5 days here. Its right in the middle of everything. As soon as we landed we were able to walk into the heart of China town which was very close. We are also right next to the subway if you want to travel further out and the hotel is right across the street from a big and beautiful temple. Although we had a great time, I would warn people to not go during the summer. My family and I went in the beginn... Read more

The hotel was nice and in the middle of Bangkok. The MTS train station was directly across the hotel and you could take it anywhere. The rooms were clean, WIFI worked in the rooms and the breakfast was nice. It was a full buffet with drinks and coffee included. The hotel had good security and elevators to rooms could only be accessed with key card. The staff was friendly, but did not speak much English, so communication was a challenge. If you eat there, the food was good and reasonably priced, ... Read more

Great location from which to explore Bangkok. Train station acroos the street. MRT around the corner and Chinatown within walking distance. Clean rooms, friendly staff. The breakfast is just OK as is the dinner at the Station Cafe. Did not eat at the Chyna Restaurant next door but went for a cocktail and experienced inattentive service. Tried to book massages for 4 people one afternoon but could not contact Cense by phone. Tried in person and at first they said OK, then it changed to only 1 pers... Read more

We could hear our neighbour in 01 talking, packing plastic bags, opening and closing cupboards and doors at midnight. We could also hear guests talking and kids running and shouting along corridor early in the morning. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious. The staff at this hotel are possibly the rudest staff we have ever come across. Several times when going to reception, for check in, with a question about the area, to ask about a taxi service, the staff (particularly the female staff) would see you coming, put their heads down or walk into the office and ignore you. We had a problem with our room on check in and when I rang reception, I was hung up on. We were never greeted on any occasion by any staff member, they seemed more interested in t... Read more

The hotel is clean and affordable. Centrally located near public transportation. Convenient access to merchants, Mosque and China Town. Restaurant in hotel poorly staffed. Breakfast was buffet, good selection. Lobby on the upper floor is inconvenient. Too much up and down on elevator to access floors and street. No pool.

The hotel itself is decent. Clean, nicely decorated. The breakfast buffet has a nice selection of food. Biggest complaint is noise. Noise from the city itself and mostly from room on either side of me... I can hear everything! Room next to me is a large family and I can hear children crying at all hours :(

The Hotel location is very near to Hua Lamphong MRT which is connect to Bangkok train station, if you come from Don Mueang Airport there is many option to go to the hotel, there are train, public bus no. 29, and you can choose taxi, or uber (for 420 baht include tolls about 45 mins, all uber bill in bangkok always include tolls so don't pay tolls to the driver). As you may see from other reviews, front desk staffs seemed poor for their service minds. My check-in process was okay, but noticed that some staffs didn't want to welcome the guests. Looked like the world around them were the darkest ones. When I forgot the key card, and asked for help -- one lady helped me but again, looked like she didn't want to. Check-out process was fast in my case. The deluxe room was simple and plain. But superior room with no window felt unbreathable. But the price... Read more

The hotel is placed right near the Bangkok train station, you can literally see it from the resteraunt area probably about a 5 min walk although the roads around here are chaotic. The hotel is a bit obscure as you have to get different places with different elevators. The rooms however are gorgeous, extremely clean and spacious. Great location, very useful for getting to everywhere else. The breakfast bar is pretty decent, but the lunch and dinner offerings aren't anything to write home about. The service was average. The online advertisement that my booking agent used said that this hotel has a pool; however, it is not a swimming pool, it's a reflecting pool.

The security was good in this hotel. The lobby was on the 12 floor and the elevator would only go to the 12 floor without a room key scanned. There was a hotel safe that we used. The hotel was clean and breakfast was good- western and Asian. The restaurant attached to the hotel was over priced and not as good as the street restaurants. The hotel was quiet and cool a welcomed change from the streets of Bangkok. Hotel staff spoke English and were very helpful.

The room was beautiful, the view was awesome. The wifi signal is really good. Only one cons is that the staff don't speak english very well. And the elevator is quite tough for first-time using. It was a struggle to me. However, still love it thanks to the view from my room

Nice hotel - central and good for getting around Bangkok - lots of tuk tuks available on the doorstep and taxis or train station nearby. Clean hotel - breakfast not great - a pile of cold fried eggs just doesn't do it - drinks are expensive and happy hour drinks are restricted to certain types. Nice room - we were upgraded as it was our honeymoon which was nice - great view - would stay again for the location - not the food

I wasn't sure what to expect with the Centra, but I was pleasantly surprised. Upon check-in, you are greeted with smiling faces and a complimentary drink. The lobby is a bit odd as it is on like the 12th or 15th floor, but it is air conditioned and comfortable. The outdoor terrace has lovely views and is a nice spot to catch a breeze, if there is one. This hotel is in an excellent location for all you need to see in Bangkok. The rooms have been decorated to a high standard and it is very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, there was not a window in the room that I stayed in. This was very disorientating and meant I couldn't see any of Bangkok! The pool is only at ankle depth, which isn't all that useful. Hotel staff are friendly and the breakfast is excellent. Would recommend.

The hotel has been renovated recently and that's a plus. It's well located. Just a few minutes from Chinatown and crossing the street to the metro and train station. We needed something for a night near to the station and we chose the internal room as we would need to leave on an early train. I managed to fall ill and we had to extend a night.. Would have definitely preferred a room with a window and natural light then so I didn't feel so boxed in. Having just arrived in Bangkok for a 5 week stay touring around South East Asia, we booked Centra on the basis that we wanted some home like comfort before diving into the more traditional backpack style of travelling. Great views and a good central location. Within easy reach of the temples and palaces by tuktuk and walking distance to the river to catch a boat trip. The location of this hotel is dreadful... it's on a noisy, busy street where a cab or tuk tuk can barely stop to pick you up.
