We stayed in Baiyoke Sky Hotel on our May 2016 visit to Bangkok. Very happy with everything over the period we stayed there. Had a problem with the Aircon on our arrival, but that was sorted out very fast. Only thing to be careful of is to make sure that you checkout on time. To stay there an our or two later that checkout time can cost you more than a night in another hotel down the road. I had a suit made right at the hotel entrance by very professional guys on a reference from a friend... Read more

View from rooms and Observation deck are remarkable but you do have to get over the fact that this hotel has a bad odor. Since this is a recurring complaint on this site, it would seem to be a problem that management is unable to solve. Too bad since the highest building in the country should be a showcase. But it is quite affordable and being close to the airport link is a bonus but be aware that if your flight is early morning the trains don't run and you are stuck with a cab ride. Taking ... I have seen other bad reviews for this hotel and I have to say for the price it's really rather poor! 1. The buffet breakfast is really pretty average although there is a lot of choice, it just doesn't taste all that good! 2. Constantly changing from one lift to another to get between your room and anywhere else in the hotel gets very annoying very quickly especially when you have to wade past 50 Chinese or Indian tourists. My family and I plus friends have been staying here since 2001. Check In is a breeze unless crowded with English and other languages well spoken. The rooms are huge but a little dated. Views from almost every room are fantastic as are the staff that service them. Breakfast at 76 or 78 starts the morning off exceedingly well with something to please everybody. Location is next to the ever shrinking market but still a blast for variety, tees caps, belts, shorts, jeans, dresses and a whole lot more... Read more

Loved the location of the hotel at the price which I got. Its at the heart of the shopping area of Bangkok with Indra square just next door. They have free transportation to the MBK Mall. The metro to the Suvarnabhumi airport is also just 150 m away from where there are skytrains every 10 mins (40 Baht per person). The rooms are pretty clean. We have been staying at this hotel every year since they opened their doors. In fact, some of the staff recognise us whenever we book in and treat us as old friends. It is unfortunate that some Chinese tour operators also make use of this hotel, and there are always throngs of people "following the flag". Bangkok being the hub of fashion world , we decided to stay in the midst of the market! Little did we know, the room was more exciting than the shopping experience, which we had come here for. The room view was so speculation! Room sizes were big enough, although not too clean. Major issue was the time & energy consumed in changing 3 lifts to reach the room! Breakfast was decent enough , with very few vegetarian options. But overall, it was worth , considering the sky high adventure eye candy!

As my heading suggests, Baiyoke Sky is an overrated hotel. We had booked a superior suite but it had no resemblance of a suite. The room is smaller than an ordinary room of a star rated hotel. Walking distance to Platinum Mall, or even to Big C and the Four Faces Buddha temple. If you do not want to walk, you can easily grab a tuk-tuk to get to these places, of course you need to take care of your belongings when you are inside the tuk-tuk. There is a sky bar in the hotel. These rooms are awesome. Its not really a room. Its more like a decent size apartment. Massive bathrooms, living room, huge soft beds and an amazing view. The only downside is that the lobby and reception can get a bit crowded. For such a massive hotel, that area is quite small. Hotel also offers a very nice spa and massage and reasonable prices. It's located in the middle of shopping district. So you only need to go out the door to find all the shopping you could ever want. Walking distance t... Read more

Basically went to Bangkok for shopping. And Baiyoke Sky was a great choice because it's very near to everything. The market was just outside the lobby, and a 5-min walk to Platinum Mall. We didn't have any problem on where to eat bec there's Family Mart at the lobby. There were also many restaurant choices inside the hotel. The breakfast buffet had many international cuisine choices to choose from. The room we chose was a junior suite and it was really big :)

The bad service started from the minute I checked in. I booked my room on booking dot com. The price was around 2200 Baht. When I checked in the staff told me I booked the cheapest room in the hotel. Was there any need to say that? I don't make the prices, the hotel does. Secondly, in my room I could not find the bathrobes. I called the reception and they told me I must call housekeeping. Any good receptionist would transfer you. The housekeeper comes up with an angry look on her face and show... Read more

Stayed in a suite in the Space Zone, 73 floor. It is hard to beat the location of the hotel. It is close to a City Link station, Family Mart in front of the lobby, room service is cheap. All that renders it as a very convenient stopover hotel. However, a lot of tourists going to the observation deck, very crowded breakfast area, pretty ordinary food quality warrant a very short stay will be more than enough. Staff attitude is not particularly welcoming. Don't expect any privilege for staying in ... Read more

Hotel room is huge,,, worth the price! Great location. Front desk staff is accommodating and understanding. We forgot that we need to check out at 11 and came back to hotel from shopping around 2pm. We though that we will be charged for late check out as what other hotels are practicing. Fortunately no charge at all. Overall very good... only the restaurant needs a little cleanliness. The table where we had our bfast buffet is not really neat. We ate at both restaurants serving bfast. Both need... Read more

This was not our first stay in the Baiyoke Sky and definately not our last. Due to the excellent friendly service, huge clean rooms, great breakfast and unbeatable location we will return again and again. I have read several bad reviews about this hotel on this forum, but have honestly never experienced any of these. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful reception staff. Although the check-in desk was busy and people were queing, the efficient staff checked us in, in no time. Even a minor hic... Read more

I've booked superior sky zone, in 55th floor. It has beautiful view. The worker not friendly. I think the pool's bad, not match with the hotel. It placed in strategic location, near from BTS but crowded area around the hotel. Easy to searched for food.

Still the tallest hotel in the country, it's better days are no doubt behind it. The rooms are clean enough and the service is friendly, but it earns it's five star epaulette on paper only (perfunctory bathroom phone) and not in spirit. The hallways are drab with worn, threadbare carpet. The rooms are both spartan and stodgy. The lobby of the building is harsh and disconcerting -- it does not seem to be a hotel lobby at all -- though the actual hotel lobby you arrive at several floors above ... Read more

We had dinner at the buffet restaurant, and after the check in you have to queue to take all the elevators to reach the 82/83rd floor among hundred chinese visitors. Impact for sure not impressing at, but the view is absolutely superb. The buffet restaurant was just sufficient, and for sure too expensive, then we moved to the upper floor with rotating floor to see the city and it was really stunning. Then we stayed again in queue for another half hour to go down.....

We payed a lot of money for what we thought was going to be an amazing couple of days/nights at the baiyoke Sky hotel, how wrong we were!!. We were meant to stay in the deluxe space zone but got upgraded to the junior suite I believe. The room was awful it was so plain, dated and boring "was clean though" the view from the room was restricted by a horrible meshing on the outside. "I have attached some pictures of the rooms!!" We had big expectations of this hotel as we had planned to have a buffet dinner here even before leaving for Thailand from Bangladesh. We were staying at a walking distance from the hotel and booked for the buffet dinner over phone. Once we reached for the dinner, we had to wait in a long queue to get on the elevator. After going to the top floor where the buffet was arranged, we found it to be noisy and overcrowded. The buffet menu was diverse and had so many dishes but most of them were tastel... Read more

Third time staying at the hotel. The best part about this hotel is its close proximity to Platinum mall and Pratunam market. Of course, all the cheap local massage shops nearby. Basic amenities are provided, and the room and toilet are really huge. As this hotel is really big, it is no surprise that guests may have to wait long for lifts. But staff are always stationed at lift area to help guests.

The best thing about this hotel is a room with a stunning view. We had a standard room on floor 24 which seemed recently refurbished (new carpet, curtains, decent furniture) and the view from here was great. On our last night we had a suite on floor 57 which was rather tired looking-worn green carpet, dated furniture-a bit shabby, the only thing that saved it was the amazing floor to ceiling window. On reflection I'd have preferred to stay on floor 24! There is a ladies only floor on 48. Bot... Read more

Location was very strategic. Had buffet dinner and the price was reasonable; the foods was good. The facilities in the shower however, were insufficient.
