A very funky hotel that has extremely friendly and helpful staff. It is still quite a walk to Nana station...so we ended up getting a cab most of the time (which was very easy). When we were checking-in, we were told that there was a special 'fullmoon party' in conjunction with a local festival that was exclusive for all in-house guests and it was free. To our disappointment...that was not the case and it was definitely not free.

I booked this hotel at short notice, based on a fantastic experience at Aloft KL Sentral a couple of years ago. This was a disappointing stay, which didn't live up to my expectation of the brand. Aloft Bangkok is looking very tired - both the physical hotel & the concept itself. The wall art at the entrance looks like badly done graffiti, and the entrance is looking decidedly shabby. The public spaces are OK, although the "funky" public space on L1 is under-utilised. My hotel & bathroom wal... Read more

Stayed here for two nights in April. The hotel itself was trendy and nice, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was located on the busy strip, but you couldn't hear the noise from the hotel. The strip itself is very busy though!! Check in at the hotel did take quite a while. The hotel pool was lovely, although expected there might be someone going round checking if we wanted drinks at all, but we had to go to the bar for this. There was also no one really checking the pool; there wa... Read more

I checked into the Stylish suite during my trip to Bangkok in May 2016. Guests staying in this spacious suite would have ample room to move around, entertain their friends as well as to stow their personal effects. As I entered the suite, a white coloured small round dinning table with four chairs caught my eyes. This dinning set is placed in one corner of the living room of the suite. There is a door to the left of the entrance to the suite, which gives me access to the walk-in wardrobe and the... Read more

The room was a decent size with a comfortable bed and modern styling. The gym was nice (for a hotel), infinity pool was relaxing, and the 24hr cafe was so clutch on late nights. All and all, I was pretty happy with the selection. That being said, there were a few annoyances. The room was dirty; hair of all kinds throughout the room, dust, trash, dirty, windows and mirrors throughout the room, slow drains, flooding shower, quality of food in cafe and restaurant was pretty barely average, slow dra... This is my return stay at this hotel. Staff are helpful as usual. This hotel offers convenient location at the heart of Sukhumvit area, near all entertainment and food outlets! It's also a 10 min walk to the Nana Skytrain station and the hotel does offer free "tuk tuk" service there as well. However, as an SPG Gold member I was upgraded to a higher floor room. To me that was not much an upgrade at all...and I think quite a few Starwood hotels such as this one, kind of doing a "fake" upgrade! Bef... Read more

Stayed here for first trip to Bangkok for 6 nights. This is in a good location on Soi Sukhimvit 11. Plenty of bars and restaurants in surrounding block. Also massage parlours and custom tailors. This area is labeled as a popular expat spot which is say is quite accurate. As typical here, you'll see ladies for rent in most of the bars as well. The Aloft is average, nothing special. It was nestled in the heart of the nightlife, local cuisine, bars, clubs, shopping, restaurants, you name it! It's within a stones throw away. Had to stay for a night at the Aloft property to fulfill Stanwood promo for visiting all of their brands. This is my least favorite SPG brand due to lack of Platinum benefits. The check in was smooth and was upgraded to a suite due to high occupancy (no suite upgrades for PLT members at this brand). The check out was an utter mess. Ten people on the line and two agents checking out. Picked up the phone and asked to speak with MOD. Gave them my card number and asked an e-mailed folio as I had ... Read more

The Aloft Bangkok maintains the standard of the chain in terms of room (functional, not huge, mildly fancy, bathroom / vanity works fine) and roof top pool area, however checking in and out has never been smooth. One thing could be improved immediately: If a guest cannot be handled by a specific front desk clerk, please can a more experienced staff member take over instead of giving a live training session to all available staff, effectively shutting the front desk down to all guests? I should have listened to the reviews. Although modern like the pictures, his hotel was dirty, and grungy to the point where I would wear my shoes everywhere in the room because the cleanliness was very questionable. To forewarn families, there were people taking home prostitutes quite frequently in this hotel. This didn't bother us because we are a group of couples in our twenties but this would definitely bother people with children. The hotel staff were very nice, and accommodated our req... Read more

This is my second stay at Aloft, not a whole lot has changed, which is good, the check in process was easy and quick, the room was perfect, comfy bed, breakfast was really nice, had a great selection. The one thing I noticed this time and last, was that they have a really nice bar area but no one is ever there, the poor lady singing was singing to an empty bar. I would return again, great value for $

SPG hotels never disappoint us no matter which part of the world we went to. Roght in the middle of a vibrant Street of Sukhumvit soi 11, Aloft bangkok is sort of the hip and funky Sister of W hotel. The hotel is about 10min walk to the nearest BTS Nana, if someone is tired of walking, the concierge can arrange a cool and funky tuktuk ride, complimentary by the hotel. This hotel is affordable and well located - 5 min walk to bts nana station, 10 minute walk to terminal 21 shopping mall and is in a very popular clubbing district. We paid 350 bhat to the airport and 200 bhat or under for all othe locations we visited (taxis). We had a hard time getting the taxis to turn on their meters - make sure you negotiate with the driver before you get in.

We stayed here with friends as part of out tour for 3 nights. You are well placed for a number of attractions. The room was very nice, clean and a big walk in shower. Free safe, expensive bar drinks in the room. The bar not too bad at happy hour, with one during free. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and good at English Would stay here again if in Bangkok

Stopped briefly in Bangkok to visit my gf who was staying at Aloft for work. I have to say this was a really enjoyable hotel. My company has their account with Marriott, which when I stay there usually makes me feel like I'm with a bunch of older folks. Aloft gave me a feel of a much more youthful vibe, without being too childish. At any rate, now that Marriott and SPG have merged, I decided to cancel my original hotel, and reserve at the Aloft. Basically just had fun there. See y'all on the 10t... Read more

A friendly, clean, affordable and youthful hotel rather close to Nana sky train. Large, well appointed rooms with wonderful walk in showers. Very good breakfast. A lot and various types of restaurants nearby as well as luxurious shopping centres.

Stayed here recently on a 4 night visit. The Hotel is approximately 1 hour from the airport by taxi - depending on traffic ! It is ideally situated on Soi 11 with lots of good bars and restaurants close by. The rooms are clean and modern and are very well kept. It is a short walk to both Skytrain and underground stations Breakfasts are good with a wide choice of food. Overall definitely recommended for a stay in Bangkok in a good location

This hotel is located inside Soi 11 and is about 04 minutes walk from main Sukhumvit Road. Breakfast spread is good and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are courteous and friendly. Hotel is surrounded by bars and restaurants. Aloft is a good brand and this property lives up to Aloft standards. Would stay there again.

Aloft is my 4th Starwood hotel in this area. The others being the Sheraton Grande, The Westin and the Four Points. The Aloft is the least expensive at around Baht 2,500 (US$70) per night. The hotel is situated about 400 meters down from Sukhumvit. I had no problem with taxis finding this hotel. The hotel is modern, bright and with a "high tech" image. (at 61, I am the completely wrong demographic for this hotel!!!) Check in. Smooth and faultless. Security key needed to activate the lift (elevato... Read more

Comfortable room, very friendly staff, strategic location. We spent 4 nights here and it was a perfect stay at a very reasonable price. Abundance of night life activities around the hotel as it is located in Sukhimvit 1, 10 mins walk from Nana BTS station.

The hotel is practically new. The interiors are funky (reminds me of the W Hotels) and the facilities are good. Didn't really get to spend much time at the hotel. We were in and out a lot but generally I enjoyed my stay, staff were great and the facilities are what I came to expect

Aloft offers excellent value in central Bangkok, last minute booking and got a great rate. Thank you to the staff for a fast check in and fast check out, room is really well laid out. I will be using this Hotel a lot more often. Good location and they have a free shuttle service to the BTS SKY TRAIN at NANA.

Arrived at the hotel some time close to 1 am on a weekday and was checked in and upgraded promptly. The room was bright, clean, and comfy - really nice! Staff were also friendly and polite whenever they saw us. However, when we called to request for a set of forks and spoons, we were informed that it would cost 50 baht. Not sure if it was a "delivery fee" or otherwise, but we acquiesced anyway. In the end, after waiting 10 minutes, we went down to Refuel to grab some ourselves, free of charge ... Read more

Is a nice place to be, not as noisy as others but the food in the hotel is so so and the service is slow (due to insufficient stuff) also the lift was set and certain time... which I guess limit the business

We got aloft through a super deal on Agoda. Maybe 50% cheaper than the normal quoted price so we were happy. If I had paid full price I would be only ok - hence 3*s. The room was great and all the facilities were very nice. One BIG ISSUE - there was no door on the toilet. Why? Makes no sense. The gym and pool were nice (even if the gym is a bit small) We didn't eat in the hotel except to grab a sandwich which was ok.

More suited to the younger generation for night life. But the room at the aloft clean and tidy, and the breakfast amazing so much to choose from. And your right in the middle of bangkok for night life and clubs and pubs and plenty of places to dine

We have stayed here a few times. Usually it is a good option, but this time there just seemed to be a huge lack of attention. Very understaffed breakfast as well as at the pool. Also, they really need make this a adults only hotel. It is in a party area with a club in the hotel.... the last thing you want is some kid screaming at breakfast. Also, they should not allow people to wear clothes in the pool. A group of Indian men were wearing boxers (old ones) the last 2 times we stayed here. Also a ... Read more

Front desk inattentive. Waiting time for shuttle tuk tuk is long, though the turnaround is a short distance. Towels not stocked according to stay-in guests. We booked for triple sharing, what was given is always for 2 guest use.
