A very funky hotel that has extremely friendly and helpful staff. It is still quite a walk to Nana station...so we ended up getting a cab most of the time (which was very easy). When we were checking-in, we were told that there was a special 'fullmoon party' in conjunction with a local festival that was exclusive for all in-house guests and it was free. To our disappointment...that was not the case and it was definitely not free.

I booked this hotel at short notice, based on a fantastic experience at Aloft KL Sentral a couple of years ago. This was a disappointing stay, which didn't live up to my expectation of the brand. Aloft Bangkok is looking very tired - both the physical hotel & the concept itself. The wall art at the entrance looks like badly done graffiti, and the entrance is looking decidedly shabby. The public spaces are OK, although the "funky" public space on L1 is under-utilised. My hotel & bathroom wal... Read more

Stayed here for two nights in April. The hotel itself was trendy and nice, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was located on the busy strip, but you couldn't hear the noise from the hotel. The strip itself is very busy though!! Check in at the hotel did take quite a while. The hotel pool was lovely, although expected there might be someone going round checking if we wanted drinks at all, but we had to go to the bar for this. There was also no one really checking the pool; there wa... Read more

I checked into the Stylish suite during my trip to Bangkok in May 2016. Guests staying in this spacious suite would have ample room to move around, entertain their friends as well as to stow their personal effects. As I entered the suite, a white coloured small round dinning table with four chairs caught my eyes. This dinning set is placed in one corner of the living room of the suite. There is a door to the left of the entrance to the suite, which gives me access to the walk-in wardrobe and the... Read more

The room was a decent size with a comfortable bed and modern styling. The gym was nice (for a hotel), infinity pool was relaxing, and the 24hr cafe was so clutch on late nights. All and all, I was pretty happy with the selection. That being said, there were a few annoyances. The room was dirty; hair of all kinds throughout the room, dust, trash, dirty, windows and mirrors throughout the room, slow drains, flooding shower, quality of food in cafe and restaurant was pretty barely average, slow dra... This is my return stay at this hotel. Staff are helpful as usual. This hotel offers convenient location at the heart of Sukhumvit area, near all entertainment and food outlets! It's also a 10 min walk to the Nana Skytrain station and the hotel does offer free "tuk tuk" service there as well. However, as an SPG Gold member I was upgraded to a higher floor room. To me that was not much an upgrade at all...and I think quite a few Starwood hotels such as this one, kind of doing a "fake" upgrade! Bef... Read more

Stayed here for first trip to Bangkok for 6 nights. This is in a good location on Soi Sukhimvit 11. Plenty of bars and restaurants in surrounding block. Also massage parlours and custom tailors. This area is labeled as a popular expat spot which is say is quite accurate. As typical here, you'll see ladies for rent in most of the bars as well. The Aloft is average, nothing special. Recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the start of our trip to Thailand. Wasn't disappointed. Hotel was lovely and rooms were fabulous. Loved the spacious shower room and great view over the city. Disappointed we didn't have time to visit the pool but it looked lovely, just not enough time in the day. I stayed at the Aloft because I had some points to use. I moved from the Doubletree to the Aloft, not too far away but I loved the location a lot more. It was nestled in the heart of the nightlife, local cuisine, bars, clubs, shopping, restaurants, you name it! It's within a stones throw away. Had to stay for a night at the Aloft property to fulfill Stanwood promo for visiting all of their brands. This is my least favorite SPG brand due to lack of Platinum benefits. The check in was smooth and was upgraded to a suite due to high occupancy (no suite upgrades for PLT members at this brand). The check out was an utter mess. Ten people on the line and two agents checking out. Picked up the phone and asked to speak with MOD. Gave them my card number and asked an e-mailed folio as I had ... Read more

The Aloft Bangkok maintains the standard of the chain in terms of room (functional, not huge, mildly fancy, bathroom / vanity works fine) and roof top pool area, however checking in and out has never been smooth. One thing could be improved immediately: If a guest cannot be handled by a specific front desk clerk, please can a more experienced staff member take over instead of giving a live training session to all available staff, effectively shutting the front desk down to all guests? Because gu... Read more

I should have listened to the reviews. Although modern like the pictures, his hotel was dirty, and grungy to the point where I would wear my shoes everywhere in the room because the cleanliness was very questionable. To forewarn families, there were people taking home prostitutes quite frequently in this hotel. This didn't bother us because we are a group of couples in our twenties but this would definitely bother people with children. The hotel staff were very nice, and accommodated our req... Read more

This is my second stay at Aloft, not a whole lot has changed, which is good, the check in process was easy and quick, the room was perfect, comfy bed, breakfast was really nice, had a great selection. The one thing I noticed this time and last, was that they have a really nice bar area but no one is ever there, the poor lady singing was singing to an empty bar. I would return again, great value for $

Aloft Soi 11 has one of the views of Bangkok and is in the centre of BKK night life. The hotel is chik, modern and is best value for many. The front desk staff service is very good specially the asst duty manager Wijuta. She is extremely good in receiving and solving guest requests with good smile. The levels night club is a devils attraction of this hotel and is one of the best night clubs in Bangkok compare with Intercontinental Mix ( racist against Indians) and RCA clubs. But one incide... Ok so my expectations weren't high even without checking the reviews. What can you expect for 2200 baht? Not that much. Rooms are ok; check in and out a bit chaotic and the wait can be long. Breakfast is very standard and basic; much better options nearby. Some reviewers are writing great boutique hotel; well it really isn't boutique. Others are complaining about customers bringing back working girls; well welcome to Bangkok as that happens in every hotel. My room was clean and comfortable for... Read more

This is the hotel that I keep returning to when in Bangkok. Central to everything in the Sukhumvit area. The room are well set-up so you are not bombarded with the noises from a very street. The gym and pool is great, but gym equipment needs some maintenance. Breakfast is good quality, but refill rate need to be faster during busy period. Check-in is always a joy as the staff are very accommodating, good wifi. Staff knowledgeable about the area for access to adhoc requests. I particularly liked... Read more

SPG hotels never disappoint us no matter which part of the world we went to. Roght in the middle of a vibrant Street of Sukhumvit soi 11, Aloft bangkok is sort of the hip and funky Sister of W hotel. The hotel is about 10min walk to the nearest BTS Nana, if someone is tired of walking, the concierge can arrange a cool and funky tuktuk ride, complimentary by the hotel. Feeling hungry at night, we are able to refuel our stomach with their 24/7 indoor service. If that is not enough, 24hrs convenient... Read more

It's took us more than 45 minutes for our group of 9 to check in at this hotel....one more thing that surprised me was they charge you for an extra glass if you want it in your room!!! Don't know what kind of rooms they have, cause your voice echoes in the room and it's not the case in one but all the rooms.....which is really strange

This is my first review, I wrote it because I can??t keep the best Bangkok experience with myself alone! I travelto Bangkok for my business trip, honestly at the beginning I really have no idea what is ??Aloft??. After arrived, the welcome experience was extremely good, warm welcome from receptionist and greetings by a lady who I think she is a front manager. Hotel is nice; interior design is very energetic, games in lobby for relaxing. Breakfast is awesome thanks from little hostess girl who... Read more

one of the best hotels to stay in the city when you stay in the city that never sleeps. it wasn't my first visit there , but amazed me they try very hard to keep the high level of service since they opened. if you are in a hurry to Nana BTS or if you need a recommendation of a restaurant or sightseeing, just ask the excellent concierge team member called "Art", amazing service like in any top 5***** hotel worldwide , one of the reasons to always come back to this property. btw, i'm starwo... We stayed here for one night. No upgrade as platinum, firts told they dont upgrade platinums at all (they are not required to do so anyways) but then told they upgraded me to what I dont know... Fairly sure there was no upgrade :) Concierge was the biggest dissappointment here. Gave us great directions to some of the temples and sent us on out way with Taxis and longtail boats at a fairly pricey result but forgot to inform us it was budda day so they were closed till 1400 (we had to leave by 1... We stay at this hotel every month with all our team. The rooms are always clean and have a modern edgy feel to them. I have spent years traveling and have spent time in some of the best hotels. So even though its not the most luxurious hotel in the world , I would rate the concierge team as the very best I have ever come across. Mr Art and Mr Perm who work behind the concierge desk are the main reason it is our hotel of choice in Bangkok. They alway go beyond the call of duty and no request is t... Read more

We are SPG Gold members - but that doesn't seem to matter much at this hotel. Room as on the 14th floor...overall feel was drab and tired. The mattress was hard and painful, only two pillows allocated for a king size bed. Carpet needs replacing.... Just TWO bath towels and no amenities....(toothbrush, comb toothbrush located in the room) I guess you have to call down for that now. Want ice? Go back to the main floor and get it from the 24hr restaurant there. Mini bar was basic. Soda, re... Read more

We stayed here for one night after a late arrival in BKK using SPG loyalty rewards. We knew it was near Nana (and all that that entails) but as it was just a stopover this wasn't necessarily a problem for us. However on arriving we discovered that not only was the partying going on in the soi outside, but seemed to also be happening in the lobby etc. To be honest we found the majority of guests here to be brash, loud, and rude. Given that there are condoms supplied freely in the room (a thing we... Read more

Pros: 1. Close to Nana BTS 2. Good restaurants on Soi 11 3. Food options very, very limited Cons: 1. Loud....Even as an SPG Gold member and asking twice for a room away from the noise, I was given a room on the 19th floor but could still hear and feel the sound of the nightclub until 3:00AM 2. Pool never gets sun! For people that want to read in the shade, this might be awesome for you...but if you want a bit of sun, don't stay here. The pool is blocked by a neighboring building/or its ... Stayed 5 nights at Aloft Bangkok for business reason, Good location, nearby a Sky train station. Hotel offer free service transfer to Nana station or to the shopping mall nearby by. Sukhumi 11 street is really busy with bar, restaurants, it's a bit the red-light district, but really safe and many international hotels chains are nearby or in the street. Many good restaurants are at walking distance and shopping mall too
