This is such a great place for weekend outings. Half hour of drive from city and you get into a beautiful beach. The beach is not suitable for swimming but you can enjoy the beautiful sea view and sands. Just sit, lay, relax and feel the breeze. Evenings are very beautiful. They have a nice pool and a very good restaurant. Service can be challenging at times as I saw waiters forgetting orders and delayed serving.

booked into this hotel after a unappetizing stay in Morogoro. Very nice round hut setup. Looks out on nice beach that is cleaned daily. Very good breakfast buffet and nicely thought out restaurant menu. The nonpowdered coffee is an extra charge. Traffic is a real problem and after my first day I realized had to move someplace closer.I stayed 2 more days and worked my meetings by having associates come to me on their way home. Staff very helpful and let me keep my little table in the restauran... Read more

This hotel was perfect for my travels. I was warmly welcomed and treated so well by all the staff. Clean rooms, good food, friendly staff, lovely beach and pool. A few tiny things they could update but on a whole a wonderful time. I intend to return on my next trip.

Very nice experience to live at Legder Plaza in Dar. I know in many place in Tanzania it can be difficult to find a place with good breakfest and good coffee. They have very nice breakfest and coffee and the hotel is charming with a great place to sit and enjoy the ocean view. The rooms are up to standard and the showers are amazing with full power on the water. The staff is very nice and flexible. So far my favorite place in Dar Es Salaam.

Just returned from a four days at Ledger Plaza Bahari Beach after concluding a conference and I have to say it was amazing. I've been there twice and this time I've seen lots of improvement comparing to last year. The staff are all fantastic and worthy of all the praise they get, they were always friendly and helpful and we couldn't fault any of them. No matter what their role in hotel are absolutely fantastic nothing too much trouble and always have a smile for you Jenipha taking care of our da... Read more

I stayed at the Bahari Beach Hotel last weekend. The property is one of the best in Dar es Salaam. I was very impressed by the service provided. The team looked very efficient. The food was also of a very high standard and much better than some of their competitors. We enjoyed the lovely pool bar, walks on the beach and the friendly atmosphere. Yohana was first class. He did go the extra mile to make us feel spoiled. He is atrue professional and very passionate about what he does. Thank you. Ro... Read more

I was here recently as part of a large group performing in Dar Es Salaam. My contingent stayed for five nights and had most of our meals here. I was very satisfied with the room, the fitness room, and the grounds. We even borrowed a football when we had a free couple of hours. The staff was consistently pleasant and helpful. The food was excellent if not gourmet. And then there is the beach with a fine setting on the Indian Ocean. I have no complaints at all. If you desire such a resort hotel on... Read more

Great place to relax especially for the kids. The place seemed popular but there was still enough room for kids to enjoy - liked that the kids pool has a barrier so they cant wander off into the deeper pool - but its so tiny :) The waiters are friendly and quiet effecient in the way they serve you and of course, we enjoyed walking along the beach as well!

The hotel is right next to the beach, unlike other beach hotels i have been to in the area, the beach is not packed at peak hours. The attendants at the beach try to keep the area clean. The room I was allocated was spacious, with adequate furniture but the bedding were torn and not changed adequately. The staff are very welcoming and warm.

As I write I am at the swimming pool. This is a great property with good service and delicious food. The owner was here to welcome us and the GM is checking on us all the time to ensure that we are well attended. Our personalised waiter is Cryspen. Very professional. What a lovely place. I ordered a fish changu and wow it's delicious. I recommend this hotel

We had very wonderful stay at the hotel. Very nice interiors and the dinning too was very good. The food was very nice, very delivious; the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The price was reasonably cheap for such a luxury hotel.

I was at the Ledger Plaza Hotel for a conference and my family tacked on a few extra days to relax. The conference center is nice, well maintained & the staff that worked there were friendly and accommodating. The issues that I saw dealt with the main part of the hotel. They allow non-hotel guest to use the pool and beach access, On the weekdays this wasn't that big of a deal. It is ANOTHER story on the weekend. The crowd was large, limiting access to seating around the pool and beach chairs. St... Read more

Nice ocean view, big pool and poolbar , lots of places to sit and lay down, the service is high and the food is nice. Though you need to pay 10.000 shilling to use the pool. The food is a bit expencive!

Amazing views and ambience. However, the choice of food not inspiring and in spite of the effort by staff we came out of the only restaurant not very content. But, we stayed only one weekday night and I understand that weekends are more lively and the choice of food increases with many more customers. That apart, the rooms are well-kept and the breathtaking views make it a worthwhile a short break.

Very relaxing, very quite, Ocean Side hotel. This is my choice to get away from work. Food is great, staff is good, rooms are very clean and all of them have a view of the Ocean. The price could be a little high for the ordinary person but it is worth the services you get. I loved the place.

Staff; generally good service, with the usual courtesy that is characteristic of the people of Tanzania. Conference facilities; here for a meeting. Meetings rooms are large and spacious. And well served. Rooms; large and spacious. Beds and bedding are dated, obviously been in use for a long time. Bathrooms are sufficient, not tub in my room. Balcony over looking the beautiful ocean. Furniture is ok but dated. Buildings; could do with updating; the staircase banister to my room was rickety a... Read more

I just pass by for my business meeting, the hotel still looks OK. I had a nice coffee with my friend. I think the management should look into number of the staffs C'se you have seek for the waiter if you want to order something. All in all I think the hotel it's OK as per it's level.

The location on the beach is fabulous. But impossible to enjoy because of entire days (Sunday from 12-6pm) and random evenings (Thursday evening 7-10:30pm) with thumping rap and other ear ache music. Management declined to reduce the volume that literally made my bed shake.

Staff great and friendly. Food good. Right on the beach. Housekeeping reasonable. Laundry efficient. Efficient taxi service but I suspect the fixed price charge to the room has a considerable markup. The above are the positives. This hotel could be so much better and really take advantage of its location. My room (223) was dated and could have done with a major refresh and steam clean. Phone did not work (which made room service impossible ) and was not repaired during stay. Constant trips t... Read more

Always fun having my friends with me but it was extra fun at Ledger's. With the beautiful view, sizzling hot sun and the tempting blue pool we just had to dive in and it was amazing. The food came in time and boy it was delicious. The Sanaa group that were perfoming had us at our toes. Indeed it was a day well

It's perhaps a 5* hotel compared to other non chain hotels in Africa but don't come here expecting a 5* resort judged against international standards. It could be however with some attention to detail and investment. After all the staff are a big part of any hotel and they are on the whole very good. I booked via an internet site who also seem to rate this hotel as 5* which raises expectations unfairly The problem is when do this and charge accordingly it only causes disappointment. The hote... If u want enjoy a buffet which don't have enough food, starts 2 hours late this is the place to go. We paid TSH50,000 for a so called Japanese buffet and was treated with poor time management, overrated publicity and terrible terrible experience. Value for my unforgettable experience

Beautiful long clean beaches, nice clean pool with pool bar, Amazing rooms with plenty of privacy overlooking the beach, very large breakfast buffet. Good enough food. Definitely a great choice. There is only 1 restaurant at hotel though so it can get boring. Loved this place!!
