My second stay at the Tokyo International Hotel. Good to see it is doing well. Tokyo International is an excellent hotel with superb service, many nearby dining options, and functional room/bathroom. The design of the room is very well done - sober, efficient and clean. Room includes a safe, frig and, my favorite, a bidet! Breakfast was excellent with good variety all 4 mornings.

We stayed here for 7 nights. The staff are lovely. They all speak English, and go out of their way to be helpful. The hotel is 10 minutes or so by foot from Zhongsan metro station. The Taipei metro is awesomely cheap and efficient, and will pretty much link you to anywhere in the city. There are dozens and dozens of restaurants, shops and convenience stores in the vicinity. Rooms are adequately spacious, and clean. Breakfast is a mixture of Eastern and Western food. Taipei is an awesome... Read more

I stayed this hotel with my mother and grandfather. It was last day for our trip, so we had a little tired. Hotel workers could speak Japanese, room was very clean, bath room was also clean. Morning lounge was the best place. It was clean and quiet. Food was also good. Hotel workers helped us with kindness. Their service was very good.

Overall rating will a little above average. 1) family room we get is spacious and comfortable for up to 4 pax though there's only 3 of us but the bathroom a little tight. But for around usd200 a night I would say it's a good value for the money 2) staff are very helpful and polite 3) breakfast food have very few choices only 4) distance to nearest train station(mrt) is at least 15 mins on a casual walk which I feel is a little far specially after a long day.

With the price that I paid, I think I got very good value. Firstly, location is quite good, a short 10 minutes walk to Zhongshan MRT Station, which is 1 stop from Taipei Main Station. It's also along the same MRT line to Shilin Night Market and Tamshui Fisherman's Wharf. There are also many good restaurants around the hotel that I tried, like "Ji Jia Zhuang" 2 stores beside hotel, and "Hao Ji" a short walk away, both recommended by my driver, and I believe it's popular with locals. Secondly, ... Read more

The staff here goes above and beyond to help English speaking customers get around. One of the receptionists even wrote a note for me in Chinese explaining that I needed a bus ticket to the airport. I showed it to the ticket vendor and she gave me a big smile and thumbs up! The hotel is a good value and is within range of the main attractions. Everything looks fairly new, especially in the bathroom which includes a deep tub. I took a star off because the counters in the room and bathroom h... Read more

This is a smaller, business type hotel with great service. All staff we encountered, from registration desk to breakfast staff were very kind and courteous. We were in a Family Suite (609), which was a bit smaller than anticipated per the name, but completely fine (2 adults + 2 young children). The room is technically not a suite, as it consists of a room + bathroom. Breakfast choices were somewhat limited, especially if you are used to the mega buffets at the larger hotels. If I recall correc... Read more

+ very friendly stuff (almost too friendly if you are a westerner) + clean room + good location - price - breakfast (as a westerner, d.k. if you are more into local food) - room did not really have a window (huge blinds and basically just another wall or something behind that) - no power outlets near the bed

Room was great, people were awesome. The staff will definitely go out of there way to ensure that you have an awesome experience in Taipei. They remembered my name and cheerfully offered help and local advice. The whole team has figured out that friendliness and smiles doesn't cost anything, but pays big dividends to tired travelers.

This was our first trip to Taiwan and I decided to stay at this boutique hotel based on reviews I read. I think this is a great little hotel, clean, efficient and the best staff. They are informative and just enjoy conversation with guests. Spent 4 nights and would highly recommend this smaller hotel where the staff actually recognize you.

I stayed at the Tokyo International Hotel for one night and had a very good experience. The staff spoke excellent English and was very friendly, upgrading me to a room with windows. The room was small but very clean and had everything I needed. I would stay here again if I had to visit Taipei on a budget.

I traveled from the UK to Taiwan for the first time and I've heard that Taiwanese are friendly and passionate. Therefore, I planned and decided to stay in Tokyo International Hotel. You will never get disappointed as the owner and staff are very helpful and kind. I was impressed by their polite services and spotlessly clean rooms. Nevertheless, the Japanese style breakfast was scrumptious! My mum really liked it. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!!

Stayed a week at Tokyo International Hotel and was pleasantly surprised. Great location and close to a lot of malls or train stations; everything was in walking distance. Staff was amazing and extremely helpful. Whatever question or concern I had all the staff especially Erick would help; even on his day off! The cook, Momo, was very hospitable and very happy to make anything for breakfast to make us feel at home. Rooms were very clean and well kept. Great staff, hotel and location. Highl... Read more

What a find! I stayed here for one night in the single windowless room. The room was impeccably clean, equipped with all the necessities and a very comfortable bed. The hotel staff were about the friendliest and most helpful I've encountered, complete with the sometimes too polite Japanese-style courtesy. The hotel is located in a busy central location with shops and restaurants open into the wee hours. Can't fault this hotel, highly recommended!

The hotel staff is very responsive, great hospitality, perfect location, near many top notch restaurants, a bit old but very clean. on the downside, my room had a strong cigarette smell. the hotel staff gave us an air cleaner, but didn't get rid of the smell.

This hotel offers excellent value for money in a very good location. Rooms are not too small, with comfortable beds. The place is seems to be particularly popular with Japanese guests. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. But the real stars of the hotel are the front desk staff, especially Eric who speaks fluent English and could not have been more helpful.
