This hotel is very clean, modern and spacious. The hotel staff is very well trained and polite. The location is accessible to many places of interest and shopping areas. There are also many nice restaurants nearby. The guests here are mostly Japanese. Hence, this hotel is not as noisy as other city hotels. Overall, a very good hotel to stay for business and leisure.

The Okura is relatively new and is located very well in the Zhongshan district where everything you'd need at your doorstep. Department stores like Mitsukoshi is a short distance away. In general, staff are very polite and courteous (this being expected from a Japanese hotel), although they can be unhelpful at times. The people at the door as especially friendly. Senbazuru is left on the bed everyday. The room is in very good condition, and the television in the Bathroom(a common trend in Taiwan... Read more

I was checked into the hotel, and arranged to hold a business meeting in the Japanese restaurant during a public holiday. The service was so foul, disoriented, and late. My guest was offended and there is no way to get our time back. Should not be confused with the actual Okura in Tokyo at any cost. // Decor: a nod to Japanese decor is made but much of the Taipei hotel has weird Italian baroque pastiche. Very 'Pingtung County'.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, conclusion is: Excellent! The location is good which is very near to train station. And, within 5 mins walk there is a shopping mall, where i can get everything there. My room type is the normal one but it is clean, comfortable and the interior design is model and stylish. I like it very much. Service is good and up to standard. Highly recommend to others if you stay in taipei city.

We, three people stayed in a pretty large executive room with balcony, with an extra bed added. The room is pretty spacious, there is also a small living room, so that a huge sofa can be placed there. The facilities are new and clean. Services are exceptionally good, and people working there are really really polite as if we have been to hotel in Japan. We enjoyed the breakfast in hotel and that was really good, with many choices like local favourites and Japanese style...we did not try other re... Read more

I went for business and have a cup of tea with clients in the coffee shop on the ground floor. The beverage is nice and the room is comfortable. But the tables are not large so if you and your friends are more than six persons you have to sit separately.

Located within a 5-min walk from Zhongshan Station, the Okura is easily accessible both by public and private transport. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. You can see the surrounding mountains, Taipei Train Station, Taipei 101, and all other landmarks from higher floors, including the rooftop pool on 21/F and the gym on 20/F. Staff is helpful and courteous, classic Japanese discreet service.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in May 2016. The rooms are luxurious, we laid out and the design is modern yet elegant. There are many restaurants within close walking distance and the hotel is 20min away from the main expo centre. Japanese restaurant is fantastic.

Stayed at Okura Prestige room and enjoyed it utterly. Our room was full of pleasant surprises. All the normal stuff, like safe, minibar, hair dryer, free WiFi, etc. But also: japanese toilet, automatic/remote controlled curtains (floor to ceiling windows),TV also in the bathroom, very nice rain/massaging shower, Nespresso machine, free magazines/newspapers in the press reader app, etc. We loved it. The pool up on the 21st floor had great views. The member of staff by the pool was very very nic... Read more

Checked into Okura for one night. Was delighted to get a room upgrade. The hotel room had separate bedroom and living room. Living room had sofa with coffee table plus a work desk. Bathroom is huge and can be closed off. The toilet is located separately and has motion sensor. The toilet cover opens when you approach it. No hands!!! How cool is that!!! Lots of TVs in the room - bedroom, living room and in bathroom too! Business Travellers will like this place as they have thoughtful arra... Read more

I stayed at he Okura Prestige while on a week long business trip in Taipei. The location is central to the Taipei transit system, which is easy, safe to use. There is a large variety of restaurants and shopping in the area. The check in was smooth and the staff extremely helpful. They spoke many languages well. My colleague and I arrived early in the morning and booking the business boardroom to work until our rooms would be ready in the afternoon. They staff were attentive and check... Read more

This hotel bombs you with wow after wow. There is nothing bad to say about this hotel. Everything is great and perfect. Upon check-in, you are given a welcome drink voucher that you can avail of at the hotel bar. The hotel bar has beautiful interiors and is just wow. The lobby chandelier is very impressive. The room is huge, spotless, and beautiful. Everything is electronic and easy to use. There is a complimentary cookie bag that you can enjoy with the room's Nespresso machine. There are two s... Clean and nice hotel with good surrounding. Lots of nice food around the hotel! I Like the garden landscape outside my 6th floor room and also the partition toilet area. Oh yes and the TV at the bathtub area! The staff was also very helpful in help me find the bike shop and a dumpling shop nearby.

Th e room was spacious and comfortable. The shower head was good and got enough power, therefore it was very comfortable when taking showers. However, the quality of the TV inside the room was not very good. The picture was not clear and sharp enough. It has to be improved.

This was our second stay at the Okura Prestige in Taipei. Having now stayed at more than a dozen different hotels in Taipei, this has become our favourite hotel in the city. Thanks to everyone at the Okura for a perfect stay!

I made a mental note, when this hotel first opened, that one day I'd like to stay here. I was able to stay at two 5-star hotels on this trip to Taipei, but the newer Okra Prestige lost to the other one, in my opinion. Now, the hotel itself is quite nice. Walking down the hallway to the room, you could hear the silence, how the exterior noises are muffled and blocked out (= a good sign), compared to the newer, budget hotels in the city. But I was taken aback by the musty air that came at me whe... Read more

This hotel was an excellent choice. The hotel looks great outside but even better inside. It is clean and very well maintained. The room is very beautiful, spacious and comfortable. People are very friendly and service is very good. Location is very good, 5 minutes walk from an MRT station with two lines. We had a great stay without any issues and will definitely return to this hotel.

We stayed there three night for a family trip. At first, I admitted that the price was a bit high to me. An extra bed for child was charged NTD2300/night. For the family comfort I still requested one. It's not an ordinary roll-away bed, but a nice single bed indeed. I accepted that price then. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Staff there are very polite, you know, like Japaneses that kind of manner, most probably it's a Japanese brand hotel. There are always people open the door for you, he... Read more

The hotel is very well-maintained, clean and bright. The staff are well-trained and helpful. Stayed in the prestige room with balcony. The room is bright, big and the bed very comfortable. The amenities are of good quality, even had a small tube of Colgate toothpaste and mouth rinse. Loved the bathroom especially the rain shower and bathtub with TV. The light control on either side of the bed was very convenient and user-friendly. There is a small bakery at the lobby of the hotel with very d... Read more

The room and service was quite good, as expected of a five star hotel. But when son of 15 wanted to go swimming they told us that he had to go to a different changing room, could not use the Sauna, Jacuzzi and the shower. That means that he had to go to the shower at our room what isn't really a problem but we were shocked that we couldn't use the other facilities. The staff weren't really nice either. This was a horrible experience for us and it didn't feel like how a 5 star hotel should be,

This hotel and staff are outstanding. The rooms are huge with all the latest technology and modern feel. There's a huge, well maintained pool on the 20th floor. The food for purchase is delicious with a variety of restaurants/foods from Asia and America. This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at and believe me, I've stayed at many 5 star hotels. It's within walking distances of the MTR (Metro) banking and shopping too. Taxi service is always available as well as umbrellas as the summer... Read more

Taipei Okura Prestige is a pretty new hotel in the established area in taipei city. The facility and settings inside the room are good, not overly decorated nor too Japanese, it is just simple, tidy and most importantly paid attention to the details. It has an excellent location, where you could walk over to the restaurants, lanes and shops easily. It operates several restaurants and my personal favorite is the Japanese restaurant, and the sushi bar. The hotel is well managed and the service ... Read more

Walking into the Okura Prestige in Taipei, I could not get over the level of service, cleanliness, and overall incredible ambiance the hotel provides. The rooms themselves are large with upgraded technology making the curtains easy to use. Again, just an incredibly luxurious hotel for the price. Great location and close to a metro stop as well. Highly recommended.

Choose to stay in Okura Taipei because I tried Okura prestige Bangkok before and I love it. So I booked 1 night to try and I got very nice experience staying at Okura Taipei. Location is so nice, nearby other big hotel, shopping mall, restaurants and cute stores. There are some nice Izakaya and taverns close to the hotel. Room is big With a nice balcony. Highly recommended to try gym and sauna, as for breakfast, I think it was just okay.

Fit for Japanese standards, I loved it. Cleanliattitude, great service attitude and an excellent design. Was in suite 1802, the sliding doors give you the opportunity to adjust the space to your needs and mood. The view from the room was open and clear. The location is very good too. In summary, for a price less expensive that traditional 5* hotel chains it's a better alternative. Recommended. Pool is large and clean. Sauna and cold/hot bath is a good experience of Japanese lifestyle. I haven't ... Read more
