Exceptional service, location; rooms. Worth spending the extra on the luxury European room with its sauna and whirlpool. Breakfast not something a westerner is used to, but can be satisfying. MRT just down street.

We stayed here for the first few days of our trip to Taiwan. The room was fine. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom and jacuzzi were fine and water pressure was excellent. We enjoyed the breakfast too. We have nothing to complain about the room or amenities. There was definitely an odor that other travelers have described- I think it might be coming from the aging carpeting. it didn't bother us much, although it was a bit noticeable. The experience at Rido was fine until our friends and family member... Read more

Rido hotel is conveniently situated. It's next to MRT, Daan Forest Park and two blocks from Yung-Kong Street's restaurants and eateries. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The housekeeping staffs are very efficient . They send a plate of fruits and snacks daily in the afternoon which is a very nice touch. The pricing of the room rate is competitive and reasonable.

Not one to write a lengthy review. As a picky person, I would recommend this place and would return to the hotel for future travel. Love a place that is comfortable, clean and good breakfast. All for a very economical price.

I stayed at Rido many time in the past few years. Since it is close to where my in-laws are living, this would be my first stop whenever I go back to Taiwan for my wife to visit her parents. Rido is very near MRT, very clean, very friendly, very good breakfast, fast internet and has rooms with views to Daan Park. However, it is hard to book a room from abroad. They demand a signed form fax'ed to them to reserve a room. Why could not they take the card and deal with the credit card company? On th... Read more

You can't beat the location. 1-minute walk to metro station and it's covered entire time. Breakfast included and selection is amazing. Good quality as well. Plumbing is not an issue. Very clean bathroom and room overall. Good sound barrier. Staff very nice including the housekeeping staff. Free wifi is strong, fast, and reliable. No electrical outlet near the bed in my room is the only negative since most people like to charge their mobile phone while sleeping but would like the device ... Read more

Stayed at Rido for one night on my way south along the east coast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was fine and location was nice right across from the park. There is a very cool traditional market I stumbled onto just a few blocks from the hotel on my way to Chang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. Highly recommend that- it on the right side off the main road that the hotel is on. I was there on a Sunday not sure when it operates.

The Rido Hotel was excellent. The room was quite spacious. The hotel and room were very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The hotel is located directly across the street from Daan Park which offers a great view as well as a great place to do some running. There's plenty of food everywhere you turn and the subway stop is less than a minute walk away. We also had a baby and the hotel provided a crib as well as a baby bathtub.

I stayed in a Deluxe room with queen size bed. It was quite a big room, considering hotel's near-central city location, and convenient access (2min walk) to taipei MRT (tube. subway, whatever you call). This is a big plus for those who hate finding a space to put his/her luggage in the room. As a matter of fact, I left my luggage open from check in till check out of hotel. Downside of this hotel would be its renovation - it gave me an impression of getting back to a hotel in the 90s. Tiny l... Read more

Taipei is not that big a place and knowing that should make you want to stay in a centrally located and comfortable hotel that is connected to the subway system. The Rido is all of that. The Rido many years ago was the height of luxury. But that was may years ago. Travelling up the elevator each time was spectacular due to the glass wall of the elevator and massive paintings that were on the wall. Seeing is believing. The room appears to be much bigger in photographs but in actuality its small. ... Read more

Rido hotel is really nice. In Rido, I feel like it's a museum. And a kind of beauty in Chinese way. The bed, the carpet, and the color. Outside the hotel, you can find a forest park, where the birds will sing for you. Most important, you can go anywhere of Taipei by Subway.

Easy to get to good eating places Taipei 101, central rail station etc from this location. Convenient location to Metro, park, the famed Yukong street. I was lucky to be upgraded to a view room. Breakfast quality needs some improvement. The afternoon tea does not worth any mention. We would be better off make the tea/coffee in the room. Front desk team were courteous except a night lady who has a stern face. She checked us in efficiently but could be better with a welcoming attitude.
