This is a great Japanese style hotel, 5 minutes walk from the Shin Beitou MRT station. I felt sorry having little ladies carrying our luggage, but they insisted. Hope they don't get injured. The rooms were big, clean, and very easy to sleep. It's amazing how easy it is to sleep on tatami mattress. I love hot spring / spa. Their public spa was very good. If they can have the cold pool at around 15 degrees it will be perfect. 25 degree cold pool takes too long to cool your body. Their buffet bre... Read more

Upon reaching the hotel, we are greeted by bowing staff in Kimono. A staff will then escort you to the reception for check in. Booked a 90min private hot spring room, which we reserved via phone one week prior to arrival. Location: Opp Beitou museum; short 10min stroll from Xinbeitou MRT Station. Room: Chosen Forest View room. In-room toilet bowl design is inspired by Japanese automation and sensors. A small L-shaped bed just nice for 2x 1.75m tall person. But then again, this was a 90min hot-... Read more

When four bowing Kimono-dressed hostesses greet you as you step out of your cab, you know you are in the right place. The hotel is modelled on an authentic Japanese onsen and no details have been spared in creating the illusion of actually being in Japan. From the musician playing Koto music as we checked in, all hostesses dressed in Kimono, eager to please, the elegant and refined design and architecture with landscaped Japanese interior and superb onsen facilities, this is a great place. This hotel is impressive with very good service and facilities. Hot spring was available in our room. The room had a view overlooking the garden. I remember that we stayed there around Valentines day time which it also arranged the DIY workshop for guests to make gift, in additin to the traditional tea demonstration. Breakfast was absolutely top quality with wide range of food which i would never imagine for breakfast. Definitely a place i wish to visit every year

Located in the Beitou onsen circle this hotel has been here for years. Rooms are a little dated but the onsen has many pools with good variety for onsen lovers. Service is good and the location of the hotel is perfect and extremely convenient to a lot of restaurants nearby

I was impressed from the moment I arrived at the front of the hotel. Service is attentive. Location is superb opposit the Beitou hotspring museum and the eco library. Shuttle service is provided from the MRT station. Food is (needless to say) Japanese. My room is impeccably clean, I wore a pair of white socks in the room and it was still spotlessly white at the end of the day. Love the private onsen bath in the room and the awesome automatic toilet! Free tea ceremony workshop for houseguest. Wou... Read more

Checkin time very rigid you better arrive not more 3pm, they asked you to wait! Staff is very rigid and not eager to help! No turndown service even they charged more than my Suite room at W or Le meridien in Taipei, I am not sure why the small room with poor service worth the amount. Nothing special as a location, many spa choices around. Restaurant food is not good at all, better read the other tripadvisor advice. This Japanese restaurant is 1000 on the list, definitely not good at all. I tri... Read more

We were here for our anniversary and the overall experience is just magnificent, had spectacular mountain view from our living room window. The hotel welcome us with simple decoration and their service is impressive, polite, friendly and very very helpful. Would definitely come back again!

I rarely give outstanding reviews because I notice every detail and find something that disappoints, but not this hotel. This location is very central and walking distance to all the hot spring access, restaurants, etc. The onsen in your room (sulfur water in Japanese bath tub) and the hotel onsen is as close as you can get to the real deal, similar to Japan's. The bed is huge, which was a nice surprise and the rooms are spacious. Great amenities that actually do the job and smell nice. The sta... Read more

Pure Japanese style hot spring hotel in Taipei. Excellent Services. Great Food. Awesome hot springs and you can choose the main public bath or dip in your own room. The rooms were large with both Japanese tatami room and western style beds. The drinks in the fridge are included in the price of the room. The dinner that came with the room was wonderful and the breakfast buffet is awesome. My dad is in a wheel chair most of the time and has no trouble moving around in the hotel at all. Def... Read more
