This hotel was 5 star all the way. I stayed in a suite on the executive floor and could not have been more comfortable during our time in Taipei. The room offered every amenity, including shades that blocked the light and allowed us to fight off our jet-lag with comfortable sleep at any time of day. I also could not believe how attentive and kind the staff was at this hotel. Everyone spoke English or at least would find a way to communicated to help with any questions we had. I don't think anyon... Read more

The room is so interesting. Immediately upon opening, we see a big bathtub to the left of the door. This type of room is good for younger people but definitely not for 60 and above, who might have mush difficulty climbing over the bath tub. Personally, i think this hotel caters to the younger crowd. The breakfast is the best so far of all the 5-star hotels breakfast! We look forward ro our breakfast everyday! Truly an amazing stay!!!

Concierge attendants on the first floor are outstanding. They will assist with all your travel needs and make sure you know exactly you are going. Our attendant made a phone call to the airport to request a wheelchair upon our arrival to the departure area and he made sure the the taxi driver was aware of our need. It worked! Thank you!

We were looking forward to eating in "the grill restaurant featuring French cuisine at La Rotisserieâ?? - in fact, that was the reason we chose this hotel. However, kids not allowed in the restaurant. The hotel should clearly state this so that families with young children do not make the mistake of staying here. Despite being on the executive floor, we were also unable to use the VIP invite room, since young children are also not allowed there either. The hotel is perfect for guests who do not... Read more

The decor reminds me of an Anna Sui's dream house. It is adorned with purple and red and very romantic. The elevators have lavender scents. The room we stayed in had little romantic touches. Hotel staff are outside to get you in a taxi and tell the driver where to go if you do not speak Chinese. The location can not be better. It is next door to a mall and the Taipei main station but very quiet. It is quaint with the conveniences of a big hotel. Very convenient and very well managed.

I stayed a whole week during a business visit to Taipei and Palais de Chine provided an excellent base for our meetings. To start a good location - across the street we have the Railway Central Station and just a few steps away is the Bus Station and Metro Station. About the hotel itself - well sized rooms, comfortable beds, soundproof, usual facilities including Internet (despite some difficulties with VPN). The overall ambiance is of discrete elegance - with darker tones and some golden touch... Read more

Am surprised I cant find my review of this hotel from yrs before. Its one of the best I have stayed in Taipei (4 times or more over the years and decided to change to another recently and regretted it.) The first feeling I recall was, a small, dark and inconvenient lobby. Go to 3rd Floor for check in and everything started to change. Hotel/Room had a classy deco and I appreciate the feeling it gave me every step of the way. From the room controls to the bathroom design to the restaurant for br... Read more

This hotel is excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the environment is nice and friendly. The staff is very courteous and professional - everyone from the people on the ground floor to the lobby to housekeeping. The location is extremely ideal - it is just a short walk to the MRT and HSR stations. It would be nice if the gym had more weight training equipment.

From the minute you stepped into the hotel, you are greeted warmly by the service staff. They are very helpful and attentive. The location is superb. It's within 3-5 mins walk to Taipei Bus station and subway is 5 mins walk away. We are lucky to have a room that oversees the city view. The view is really fantastic. The bed is comfy and the room is very spacious and clean. It certainly exceed my expectations. I will definitely return for my next Taiwan Trip.

The hotel is situated in a large mall and it made transportation to other locations very easy. The staff were friendly and professional from the beginning. During the checkin process the staffs were not only efficient but also friendly and ensured all guests received a warm welcome. The room was immaculate. The toilet was made by Toto. It was my visit to Taipei after 30 years. Staying in this hotel was sure a good start of our trip. The staff were not that proficient in English but it was not an issue because I speak a little mandarin. Service was perfect. breakfast place was so grand. Lots of choices were available but we opted for the oriental buffet which was sumptuous. This hotel did not disappoint. It sure made our Taipei holiday more than perfect.

This hotel's decor is the opposite of minimalist. Which is not bad at all. The facilities are all fine and well built. Breakfast has the biggest spread of salad ingredients I have ever encountered. The rooms are grand and typical of Japan-incluenced Taipei. However coffee in the room is only instant Nescafe, and I prefer the UCC instant coffee at Sparkle Hotel or the Nespresso at the nearby Okura Prestige. Excellent location, right next to the mall. Beautiful overall hotel when checking in etc. Restaurant looked good! Cons: Hotel room was very confusing. Light switches were not intuitive, bathroom is not private, only has a curtain to separate from the room. Musty smell in our room. Dark hallways was a bit creepy.

Our stay at the hotel was over three days with six of us in three different rooms. Our day was extended by a day due to the Super Typhoon hitting Taipei. Staff were very helpful with questions about cancellations of flights, and reinstatement of new flights. Buffet breakfast was wonderful, and had a lot of choices. The gym was good. Great location for this hotel, which I think is part of a (fairly small) chain, and nice, well-kept interiors. We had a fairly short stay and were mostly out and about, so I can't say much. One thing I really want to mention, however, is this: We arrived early, and our room was not yet ready. Staff asked if we could wait for twenty minutes, but I was just off a long flight and was feeling pretty disheveled, so I asked if there were any options. In a hugely classy move (keep in mind we have zero... Read more

Booked two rooms with my family during the peak month of March 2016. Room size is okay. Overall design has a nice feel to it although the open shower might be a turn off to some who wants a more intimate space when using the bathroom. There's a balcony in our room but I don't think you can open it anymore. Too bad as I wanted to relax on the outside area as the weather was very cold during this time in Taipei. The best thing about this fancy hotel is its location near all the transport networks in Taipei (train, bus, regional lines). It is also next to a ritzy shopping mall. The room is very elegant and lovely, with fragrant amenities that are unique & superb. The hotel lobby is somewhat gothic or dark in appearance.
