The hotel is very new and the location is great very close to XIMEN mrt station. The XIMENDING shopping street is just across the street. The only con that i have to speak about is breafast. Since the hotel has no restaurant, they do give you breakfast pack which came with sandwiches salad, and juices. It's decent but i prefer a sit in restaurant like most of the hotel in Taipei

This hotel is probably one of the top 5 hotels in XMD if location is the most important criteria. Just 2 minutes away from Exit 5 of Ximending station, the MRT can be easily accessed. Checking in took way longer, though it was probably Expedia's fault rather than the hotel's fault as I cancelled my booking and made 2 separate bookings. For some reason, the cancellation was not reflected in the hotel's system so they had to spend another 30 minutes settling it. Due to this little delay, I reques... Read more

A pleasant stay overall except for the fact that we are told upon check in that we are not allowed to flush the toilet tissues into the w.c bowl. We are supposed to put the used tissue into the exposed dustbin next to the w.c bowl which i find extremely disgusting if we had to throw it after passing motion ( pls excuse my rudeness). I was told by the male receptionist upon check in that a single piece of tissue would cause the w.c bowl to clog, only to realise the next day from another receptio... Read more

Midtown Richardson is situated adjacent to the buzzing Ximending which is a popular sightseeing, shopping and eating area. There is a metro entrance right outside the hotel so convenience is superb. Enough for the bright side. The hotel is an (incompletely I think) refurbished old building and works seemed to be in progress (or even stopped) in areas like back corridors and unused floors. We received lukewarm welcome from most staff who were polite enough though. One could not help but feel some... Read more

Absolutely love this hotel. It's close by to Xi Men Ding.... 2 minutes walk from MRT station.... at the back of this hotel is Tao Yuen street where you can find one of the best beef noodle soup in taipei. One thing I like about this hotel is that it's newly furnish, it's comfy and certainly ly an upgrade comparing from those small hotel around Xi Men Ding..... This is my 2nd stay in this hotel and I'm loving it.....

(Traveled July 2015, so this may not be an updated/accurate reflection of the hotel) Located only steps away from Ximen station (exit 6, if not mistaken), this is a very very convenient location. The hotel was not yet finished with constructing most of its facilities when I visited, so basically I could only comment on service and rooms. Pros -Great location -Nice-sized rooms -Amenities are okay: hair dryer, cloth hangers, safe, refrigerators etc. all working perfectly -New hotel, spacious lob... Read more

The driver of the hotel provided Mr.Ting is very friendly and helpful. The fee is not very expensive at all. It's also an interesting way to discover Taiwan but the wifi facility is not good enough. We can connect to the wifi sometimes and the maintenance of connection is quite low.

The toilet cannot throw toilet paper. The washing hand tap design was bad, tends to get wet when you on the tap. The bath room once you use it the whole toilet will flood. But overall the room is clean only is the room we book for street view the windows comes cannot open at all.

This was a new hotel and the service was quite good. In Taiwan no so many English speakers as, say Hong Kong. The desk was helpful. We had hoped to eat in the hotel, but so new there was no restaurant. It was actually good as it forced us out to see the main street and all the action. A very safe city. Be aware that restaurants mainly close at 9:00 so go early enough for dinner. Seven Eleven's have EVERYTHING so can always buy and bring to room. Rooms were clean, modern, and small, but everything... I booked Midtown Richardson for 2 nights' stay via booking.com on the same day I was to check in. Reason was my mom fell ill and had to see a doctor during our trip and was not able to travel to CingJing which is approx 4 hours away. Given that we have no room to stay at our current hotel, Midtown Richardson was the ideal choice as it was just across the main road from Ximending. I booked a deluxe family room with 2 queen beds. Room was spacious and clean with modern amenities. Only drawback ... Read more

I choose this hotel mainly because of the location. You can cross a junction and reached XMD. MTR is just beside the hotel. The rooms are clean and beds are comfy. Price is reasonable as compared to other minsu. Rooms are fairly bigger than I have thought so.

Managed to get a good deal online as the hotel was having an opening promo. Very near to one of the exits of Ximen station. Just across the road from the main ximending area. Love the location. Clean and tastefully decorated. Water on the bathroom floor doesn't flow to the floor trap and we had a slight flooding situation but it wasn't too bad. Would come back!

Clean and cozy room, nice staffs. However, we found ourselves to always queue to get into lift. Many people waiting in front of it, meaning they have lots of guests but not so many lifts are provided. They really should give more. What I found very nice is it is very near to ximending shopping area, it is about 4-5 minutes away so we easily went back and forth to it.

Pros: The hotel is 5 mins away from Ximen MRT/district. Staff is very helpful and listen to our needs. The hotel provided food souvenir services for people who are lazy to buy on their own. The laundry service is at level 6, you would spend around NT$200 (soap power+washing machine+dryer) for each wash. Cons: Check in is at level 5 and check out is at level 1. You need to tap your hotel card before selecting your hotel room floor when taking the lift. The lift door does not have sensor, have to... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of days. The location of the hotel is great as it is located next to a train station, shopping malls and right in the middle of the city centre. The rooms are very small and there's no bellboy to help you transfer your luggage to the rooms. Their breakfast comes in a doggy bag so I would opt to rather eat out as there are many restaurants nearby. Nonetheless, the hotel and rooms are very clean. Suitable for travelers if needing a place to stay in town!
