This hotel is a little weird! Some things are amazing, some are horrible, awful, enough to say that I would not stay at this SPG property when the W is about the same price but not so "bipolar" (and has way better décor). The bad: horrible buffet and the rooms are freezing cold without ability to turn on heat - even in the suites! Had to change rooms 3 TIMES in the first hour of my arrival! First room: AC stuck blasting frigid air into room despite turning it off on wall panel. In the warm afte... Read more

We had 2 rooms for 3 nights. Enjoyed our stay. Very near to top rated department stores and restaurants. Also near to local breakfast shops - which were v enjoyable for soy bean milk, and local breakfast buns, yu tiao, onion cakes etc. Good service frim front desk, concierge and doormen. Lots of good quality taxis on standby. Enjoyed my swims - lap pool. I would stay there again.

Hotel hopping from W Taipei to Le Meridien, my first time to this brand. The hotel was packed with beautiful artworks especially a big giraffe welcoming us - Be my guest. A responsive relation guest manager verify me and invited me to level 12 (the le Meridien club lounge) for a formal check in. Those happened within minutes as my partner has send an email for me to check in behalf (which w Taipei too more than that to happen). The hotel suite room was spacious and elegant. Compared to another hotel around the block, I find Le Meridien to be more relaxing and comfortable. Given that it is less of a place to be seen, I find the service to be superior and more personal. The staff at the check-in reception as well as the concierge are always helpful without having to wait for long in queues. I also find the various pieces of art works located all over the hotel to be quite interesting. The rooms are spacious and relaxing, and the beds are very comfortable to provide a... Read more

Overall, the stay was satisfactory and it offered what I was expecting from a Le Meridien hotel. Throughout my various visits of Taipei, I stayed at 3 different SPG hotels, namely W Hotel, Sheraton and Le Meridien Taipei and I will make references and comparisons throughout my review, if relevant. Check-in: My check-in was swift and efficient. It took about 5 minutes and the staff was definitely professional; however, I did not feel that the staff was passionate about her job (at least not at t... Read more

In Taiwan for a 4 day business trip, including high speed rail (HSR) to other points, and staying at Le Meridien. The hotel could not have been any better. Cab to the HST station was 15 minutes. Travel to other parts of Taipei was longer, but never more than 30 minutes. Taipei 101 was a 10 minute walk. Most impressively, the internet in the hotel was actually functional and at high speed. It made it possible to get work done. I have no complaints and will use this as my base of operations... Read more

Stayed during a conference and was impressed first by the room- clean and great quality sheets and towels- not always the case with even nicer hotels. Separate water closet (with full-service Toto toilet) and shower area- and a huge closet/shelves by Taipei standards. Staff was attentive, and the food was varied and well done. Great design and taste level, and none of the attitude similar hotels seem to project.

Very nice hotel in great location near shopping mall. The lobby is spacious and there is a nice bar. Breakfasts have fantastic variety and excellent quality food. Rooms are large and have everything you need. Wonderful big clean luxury bathroom, even with a TV over the bath. Multi country power outlets are very helpful. I had cause to use the business centre and found them to be extremely helpful. Overall the staff were fabulous - friendly, efficient, attentive. will stay again.

My husband and I just loved this hotel! The room is spacious and the bed is extremely comfortable. We went for a swim in the pool and it was really nice. The gym looked great, but too bad that we didn't get to use it in the end. We definitely would love to stay here again in the future!

Spend 2 nights here, the service was above average but not excellent. Receptionist needs more guidance for delivering exceptional service. The bed was cozy and room was well-equipped. The most impressive figure was the view, u could see 101 towel very very clearly from room. This hotel definitely the best spot of watching the fireworks of 101 in every new year counting down!

It is in the middle of the shopping district of Xinyi with connected walkways on the 2nd level to the nearby maze of malls and entertainment plazas. I've stayed in Le Meridien in May 2016 for a 1 night stay. I recommend this hotel as it provides very good service, has very nice staff, full of courtesy and professional care towards their guests. Hotel is decorated with a very modern and contemporary design. It uses a lot of marble everywhere that makes the hotel bright. Five colleagues and I stay at Le Meridien Taipei for 5 days; the hotel is well appointed and has a very good gym. The downstairs bar area is very big and is shared with the restaurant. We found this a little open and when they serve the open buffet it gets very busy with non residents. Modern design, nice rooms and good services. What got me there was the location. It is in the Xinyi district where everything happens. Up-market shopping, nice restaurants, just a nice place for tourists. The rooms are not cheap but accepable on an international 5 star scale. For my friend special 50 years old birthday party . We have all you can eat dinner at Le Meridien hotel. It is not cheap hotel. The foods just average. The service even worth. Maybe we were sited far away from service. So, I have to say it is a lesson. People in Taipei like to be trendy, go to expensive hotel have afternoon tea or all you can eat dinner. Serious , this one you can pass! It is cost about NT$2000. Geeeee . Never mind!

Had a great stay at this property. Hotel was well run, breakfast buffet was amazing and the second floor area feels more like an art gallery - rather than a hotel. The location is in the heart of Taipei, everything is close by and walkable. Rooms are state of the art and smartly designed.
