I was traveling with my wife and daughter. We had to get a last minute hotel and this was the only one available. The photos are deceiving. It's rated as a 3-star hotel via This is a barebones hotel, ideally situated in the busy Xi-Men promenade. Only good thing I can say about is that it's clean. Probably best for the business traveler. It's located on the 12 and 13 floor of a building that includes shopping and a theater. To get to our room on the 13th floor, we have to f... Read more

A narrow table tucked at a corner along with a flimsy luggage rack, a bed in the middle, two tiny side cabinets and the room is filled. The area between the wall and the bed is barely half a metre. No shelving or space to put anything at the sink. Although we have only one piece of luggage and both of us are Asians, of average build, we still have difficulty moving around. Nevertheless, the location is extremely convenient, while the hotel staff provide excellent service, like early check-in a... Read more

The hotel is located on top of a movie theatre and there's a Uniqlo store below. Excellent, excellent location. Just 3 minutes walk from Ximen station and there's a Starbucks nearby. Check in time was a bit of hassle, because we had to kill time downstairs and they let us in by 4:00 pm. Staff is courteous and friendly. Hotel has a 24 hour free coffee and tea nook. Walls are thin so if your neighbors are noisy, it's going to be letdown. There are no windows also Good value for money. I'd stay he... Read more

The staff was friendly and helpful, and gave us a map of nearby interesting places. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located on the 12th and 13th floor above the cinema, and next to Uniqlo Building. It is in the middle of Ximending with lots of eateries and shopping. Note that it would be difficult for the taxis to enter the area after evenings. There is a nearby MRT for public transportation. My friend who had stayed there before told us that the Japanese restaurant below the ci... Read more

we are a family of 4 booked 1 room, room given on 13th floor pros and cons 1)it is in the same building of some cinema, the lifts were very packed when it's showtime. 2) rooms on 13th floor - you need to take the lift from ground floor up to 12th floor, out of lift turn left and round to other side to take another lift to go 13th floor - little inconvenience 1. coffee available at lobby - f.o.c 2. raincoat and umbrella available for rainy days - f.o.c 3. toiletries - comb, toothbrush, shampoo ... Our short visit with my wife and closed friends was terrific. We strongly recommend this place for the one who is passionate for street food and local life. As diary of taipei hotel standing at a center point of Ximending area (same building as Uniqlo shop an cinema and one of the biggest abc mart n taipei), it was easy to reach there from the airport and even from during our short staying here. Only less 5 mins walk or a block, we clearly saw MRT blue line (exit 5) leading us to other part of c... Read more

Some plus and minus based on my preference: + Excellent location in XMD. You cant find a better spot actually. Shops and restaurants sprawling all over, easy access to MRT (XMD) and practically taipei life is at its heights in this area. Located on top of Uniqlo, even a country bump can locate the hotel. Lift lobby by the side of the hotel will take you to the front desk. It's that easy. + Cheap for a hotel in the location. Half price (or less) than its nearby branded hotels like Roaders or We... The hotel is housed in the same building as the cinema and UNIQLO. To get to the hotel reception at 12th floor, you need to take the lift (can be quite jam packed since it is being used by cinema patrons and other shops patrons within the same building) next to the cinema ticket counter floor. If you don't mind having to take the steps up to 13th floor (a backend lift is another option), staying at 13th floor probably is quieter. Those staying in the rooms at the corridor along the path to go to... Read more

Small for a family of 4. Slightly different from the picture provided because booked the family room. Walls are not soundproof. Sort of hidden from the main street unless you take note of its surroundings. Staffs are polite. Good housekeeping services.

We had a little trouble locating this hotel because it is on the 12th floor and the entrance to the building looks like it goes into a cinema which are on the lower floors. Once we found it the welcome was friendly and efficient. However the tiny room did not have a window to the outside world, so don't plan on spending much time inside! The location is close to a vibrant shopping and eating district and walking distance to the MRT. No breakfast is available, but good coffee and tea making fac... Read more
