We have stayed at many Hotels during our travels in particular Five Star. The Dandy exceeds many of these in terms of staff service, cleanliness and comfort. The only missing component is a fitness centre.

We went to Dandy Hotel during my hubby's birthday. The hotel serves good breakfast and there is free coffee throughout the day. When we came home on the night of my hubby's birthday, they surprised us with a small bottle of champagne and a birthday card signed by all the Hotel staff. The hotel is a walking distance to Sogo Dept. Store where you can eat in Din Tai Fung, the line was not so long as compared to that of their Taipei 101 branch. From the outside you might think this isn't a first rate hotel; you would definitely be wrong! From the time you arrive and are warmly welcomed by the checkin ladies, right until you check out, this hotel gives a 5 star service. We were amazed when we came down for breakfast on our first morning and found a violinist serenading us all whilst we ate, it made for a lovely relaxing start to the day. On our second evening we asked for a restaurant reservation from the front desk and were not disappo... Read more

No doubt finding this kind of personal, super friendly service is rare, but the staff at Dandy always greet you with a smile and go out of their way to assist you. I have gluten intolerance and they provided me with a personalized list in Mandarin that proved to be extremely helpful these two weeks in Tainan and Taipei. We came to Taiwan to pick up our baby boy from an orphanage and it has felt very secure to spend or last days in Taiwan here before heading back home. Thanks ever so much!

Although this is a basic for all kinds of business in services sector, not all business can maintain a friendly face at all times to their guests. Dandy is one of a few exceptions. My wife and I were greeted by everyone on arrival, including the young men wiping the restaurant windows. This warming attitude was maintained throughout our stay in the next 4 days, by staff at front desk, restaurant, and bell person and room preparation ladies. At first impression, it's a small boutique hotel, but once inside the room , it's a cleverly designed room, they maximizing the room interior to make it larger than its actual size. Everything is perfectly design , the shower , the toilet is just perfect except there's no door to lock it. Otherwise, everything is great . Everything is mostly provided, you never run out of body wash, hand wash, shampoo. Water is strong , hot when you needed it. There is also a Japanese bidet. Which is fun to used... Read more

I really shouldn't write a positive review for the Dandy since it's so difficult to book a room already. Fact is, the place is great and nothing negative to say except it's a bit far from the MTR. Location is in the northern burbs so if you are looking for a downtown spot, this may not be for you. But.....great staff, breakfast, rooms, service. It exemplifies all the positives that Taiwan has to offer.

Booked this hotel after reading raving reviews on it on Trip advisor. The hotel room is clean, spacious and nice. Bed is really soft and comfortable. Only downside of this hotel is the location (need to take taxi/ bus to the nearest mrt station). House keeping is good but can be better. There is a constant smell in the toilet (which shows that the cleaner did not clean the toilet during house keeping). Staff is friendly & helpful.
