This hotel is quite near the Taipei main railway station so the location is very central. The hotel is basic but you get what you pay for, nothing extra that is. We stayed 2 nights and the room was clean and it was made up after the first night. The breakfast was a bit odd to my taste. They had conji and some kind of Chinese foods.

The hotel is located just opposite Ximending, and it just takes 5 minutes to cross over to Ximending. There is a 7-11 convenience store located just next to the hotel. The hotel is a little dated but the necessary amenities and toiletries are there. The breakfast serves Chinese food, i.e. Taiwanese porridge with cooked dishes, and bread with some jam. All in all, it is good for a short stay.

Hotel is aging and could do with some refurbishment but the beds are big, the showers hot, and the air-conditioning cool. Ask for a room facing the street for more light. Windows are double glazed thus no disturbance by street noise. The front reception was extremely helpful with a good command of English. Cleaning lady noted that I had a head cold and provided me with some ginger tea. Breakfast was basic Asian style but there was toast and omelets sufficient for me. Otherwise lots of noodle and... I had traveled to Taipei with a couple of girlfriends. We had booked a triple room and we were shocked to see how tiny it was! It had now windows at all and was really dingy. They moved us up to a family suite on our request, which had a 2x2 feet glass opening for the sake of a window. At least there was sunlight! Anyway, it's a cheap hotel for back packers who just need to dump their stuff and travel around. The free breakfast is just namesake. Chances are, you will end up not eating it. Good... Read more

I stay there last weekend (5/3/2016 to 7/3/2016). It is just about ten minutes walk from Taipei train station, and only seven minutes from the airport bus station. I stayed in a room with double bed, the room was about eighty meters, not much facility inside. The overall impression to me was not clean enough, especially the towel and the quilt. But the price was cheap, if you are just looking for place to sleep, you can consider. There is many local food shops around, some famous shops in beef n... Read more
