The rooms were very small although situated at a good location with the Metro station close to the door step and Yong Kang St right opposite with plenty of eateries and shooping. The Dongmen market is also behind the hotel where you can lots of food so needn't bother with breakfast in the hotel. Full amenities provided. Staff were helpful, they provided us with umbrellas when it was raining and helped us with maps and info for getting around. Only 1 lift servicing the floors so will need to w... Read more

The hotel is located very near Subway station Dongmen entrance. 50 steps away. Room space is small but sufficient for our stay, although no windows but air ventilation is good with exhaust fan. Room has international power plug, no need bring own power plug adapter. Nice shower with strong water pressure & water temp is consistent. Bed is comfy for our liking. Breakfast varieties also sufficient for a small size hotel. Most important with fruit & salad bar.

I stayed here two years ago. It was very nice, so I chose Chaiin again this time. Unfortunately, I felt a bit disappointed. I arrived this hotel at midnight because of the late flight. It was a very tiring flight, so I wished to see a warmed, welcomed face from the hotel. However, the night shift staff with punk hair welcomed us with terrible manner, not even a 'hello' from him. I was 'ordered' to give him my passport. I felt like I disturbed his peaceful, silent night. :-( Shower head was bro... Read more

We first stayed at Chaiin Hotel a few months back, and it was generally a pleasant experience. We had a chance to stay here for another night, and weren't disappointed either. This time we had a room that's a bit larger and on the higher floor. The part I liked the most was the bathroom. It had larger windows and was beautifully lit in a sunny afternoon. Other than that, the room was pretty much what you would expect in other similar hotels (Ambience, Dandy. Just Sleep...etc). As mentioned i... Read more

Let's start with the pros: Location - is the selling point of this hotel as it is right in the middle of town. It is right next to the Dongmen station exit with elevator access, which makes it really easy to get to the MTR with luggage or baby stroller. If you don't want to move around much it's also ok as there are plenty of good restaurants and small shops for shopping. The Daan park is also a short 5 min walk away for a nice quiet stroll. And now to the cons: Pricing - We booked two room... Read more

The room was find clean. I'd recommend to choose Windows room with high floor. The hotel locate on very good location. They've some nice local food restaurant opposite by. If you're on business and need to visit TWTC. Exhibition hall also locate on the same line. Internet speed in "late night time" was very good due to many ppl use on prime time. I still stay on this hotel next time.

I enjoyed staying here because it was clean, plenty of a/c, and space sufficient while efficient. The MRT is right underneath- a bonus. Are not chaotic, yet accessible to restaurants, old fashion market, and banks.

I'll keep this short. There are much better places to stay in Taipei in this price range. Here's a summary of my first night at Chaiin Hotel. 1. The room advertised is NOT what I got. In fact I am in a, tiny space on the third floor beside the lobby. 2. Because I'm beside the lobby, I can hear the music and chatter of the staff (which is why I'm writing this and not sleeping). Because I am on the third floor, I can also hear traffic outside. 3. The room smells of cigarette smoke periodically... Read more

Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Room rate value for money. Room was clean and has mini fridge, kettle and TV. Convenient location with Dongmen Metro station below hotel. Great eats opposite hotel ie Ding Tai Fang, Kao Chi, Smoothie House to name a few.

My host booked it for me and thus I don't know its price. But with my 2 nights' stay, I found it pretty good. First, it's rather quiet. For my two nights, the hotel itself was quite full. But I hadn't heard a thing. The shower area was OK. Room was clean too. Breakfast was so so. But this was typical of Japanese style business hotel. You have choices but not too many. Coffee was good. But I'll love to see a wider selection of breads. The biggest plus was its location. Right on top of the Dong... Read more

Rooms aren't so big but functional. The bathroom is also nice, same with the toiletries they provide. I love how the rooms are so clean, and how they keep it neat before I come back from a whole day and night tour. The wifi signal was just a bit flaky in our room. Location is great, it's a few steps away from a mrt station, and several nice restaurants especially the Din Tai Fung mothership! Breakfast is okay, different kinds each day so you won't get sick of it. Great value for money. I'll defi... Read more
