This hotel is less than 10 minutes‚?? walk from the train station plus close to many bus terminals. Close to supermarkets & fast food; McDonald's & Subway if you care? If you're taking the HSR into Taichung, this hotel is minutes walk from the Taichung train station that links from the Taichung HSR station. Having said that, there's not much going on near the train station. It's considered the "old city" so most of what I wanted to see was at least in the center. However all the bus stops are at the train station so I guess you can look at it as a catch-22. I stayed in a private deluxe double room, which was fantastic.
