I changed to Amabassador hotel by its name and outlook, its location by the river is another point to attract me. However, the room size I booked is so small, that I can find it only in very expensive cities. I am afraid the room is only 5-6 sq meters. The room rate of this type is low, I will suggest people pay higher for a decent room size. Except the room size, others are ok and basic, there is river front to stroll in the evening, but there is odd smell sometimes. Not many shops and rest... Read more

A great place to stay a night for sure. The buffet style breakfast restaurant was also a plus. But what really made my day was the day and night view on the river. I really highly recommend paying that difference to get a full view of the Ai-he river (of love).

I got a "business man's room," so I was told, it was quite a bit smaller than what I had at the 85 Sky Tower. I grew to ike the service, as the doormen are very friendly, the concierge staff helpful , the food in the restaurants quite good. I like the location as well, looking at the Love River you are quite close to the central downtown district, but just two blocks away makes it a little more relaxing then say where the 85 is. I use the pool and the weight room. The pool is outdoors and gro... Read more

1. Rooms a smaller than I expected. They said double rooms can accommodate 4 people, but the space is so small, even to put 2 luggages. And they provide no luggage holder. 2. Bed size was just not ready right. Too big for 1 person but too small for 2 persons. 3. No children TV channels. 4. Room lights are suitable for resting nor sleeping only, not for activities (reading, drawing, etc).

This hotel is right next to the love river, subway station is about 10 minutes walk away. Our room is clean but small. The view outside our room is fantastic. The pool is nice, but only 2 changing rooms for women. When we arrived, the check-in staff informed us that we can have free drinks at 2 restaurants, one located on the 20th floor. That was a nice extra from the hotel, so we thought. After reaching the sky lounge, we found out that the whole lounge was reserved for a company pa... Read more

The room was great, bed was comfy, and we had a view of the river. The location was good - close to the MRT and walking distance to a few places. My complaints were that the breakfast had limited western options and limited seating. Plus, I booked this hotel specifically because it had a pool, but we couldn't get in because we didn't have swim caps. This is a ridiculous rule, and one that should be advertised. I'll choose a different hotel next time.

Beautiful views and great location. This hotel has lovely rooms and very friendly staff. Terrific breakfast buffet. This is my second stay and plan on using this hotel every time I visit my friends in Kaohsiung.

The advantages of this place are that it is near Love River, it has its own restaurants, and it has English-speaking staff. I stayed here for a few days, checked out for the weekend as I was visiting another city, and then came back to spend a few more days. On both check-ins, I had to wait for my room as it wasn't ready. Check-in was inefficient and long and I've seen friendlier front desk staff at other hotels. The weird thing is that room prices are cheaper on travel sites like Expedia and Ag... Read more

I stayed at the Ambassador Hotel in Kaohsiung for 4 nights on a business trip. Check-in was quick and efficient. The English-speaking hotel staff was friendly and able to provide accurate and useful information to my questions about Kaohsiung. The room was comfortable, clean and fairly large. The bed was clean and comfortable - I was able to sleep well after a long day of travelling to Kaohsiung. I was amused to see that the hotel still used actual physical room keys. The key chains that came wi... Read more

Ambassador Kaohsiung is a standard four star hotel facing Love River. The rooms are nice and clean, one of our rooms is facing the river so it's really nice to look over the river at night when the light is on. Everything is up to standard however I don't feel there is a unique flair to it. On a side note, the breakfast is delightful with abundance of choices and everything is fresh.
