Friendly hotel, gave us an upgrade. Conveinept to Airport and Train station by #10 tram. Excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinner. English spoken by everyone. Great place for a short stay. Would stay here again.

On our way by train to Mikan we stayed two nights in Zurich at the Leoneck Hotel. We had never visited Zurich before and really enjoyed our stay. Our train arrived at 20:30 and having made sure we had directions from the station to the hotel we set off. Had to ask a friendly policeman to help with the directions but arrived at the hotel, on foot, after climbing up numerous steps within 15 minutes. Checked in very easily and found our room to be very clean and comfortable. We had a pleasant d... Read more

Room ok but only a single duvet for a double bed! Asked for a larger duvet and had to go to reception to collect it! See photo #2 for the 2nd duvet and judge for yourself. I dread to think what the stain was! Checked out early and left contact details so manager could get in touch and guess what 7 hours later not heard anything. Poor nights sleep, will be seeking a refund as clearly not acceptable.

We stayed over in Zurich for a day.It is approximately 13 min from station. However with luggage it is quiet difficult to reach by foot. Reason being we have to encounter a steep slope to reach. Taxi for 4 of us cost app 15 francs. However tram station just opposite hotel. Receptionist was very helpful and informative. We were 2 adults and 2 children in a room. Therefore they had given a 2 double bed 2 room separated by a door. The rooms were spacious nice neat and clean and comfortable. Th... Read more

Leoneck has very helpful staff and are friendly. Rooms are cosy but comfortable. Restaurant crazy cow has fantastic fondue and a view overlooking the street. The tram stop is just outside the hotel which makes travelling hassle free and comfortable. They have 24 hours reception which is brilliant.

A great place to stay when in Zurich as it has direct access to the airport via tram which is just in front of its building and is 2 stops away from the main train station. Also you can walk to the old town from here. Hence it has the best location possible coupled with a reasonable price. Furthermore, the rooms are comfortable, though a little small, with the necessary amenities. The staff are polite and helpful. Also if you are peckish the crazy cow restaurant that's part of the hotel does off... Read more

We (my family and I) stayed at Leoneck for 3 nights. It was a good stay. The rooms are a little small for a triple occupancy room, but we were able to manage with the luggage rack available. Our balcony had a good overlooking view of the street in front of the hotel. The hotel is just in front of the Haldenegg tram station which is just 2 stops away from Zurich HB main train station. It can be easily accessed by tram route numbers 10 & 6, which are very frequent. Rooms were clean. Room service... Read more

Loved this little hotel! Easy to find and right near the train stop. My room was clean and cutely decorated. My balcony overlooked a lovely courtyard/garden. We also ate dinner at the restaurant next door and loved it!! The food was delicious and the service was great. Not too expensive either.

Had a triple room. Stayed 2 nights. Room is very comfortable. Hotel breakfast has all the basics. Staff is helpful. Lift is available. Bus no. 10 stops directly infront of hotel. 2 stops from train station ( there is an information booth in the train station for directions etc). Coop supermarket is near train station. Besides the hotel restaurant, there aren't many restaurants of my choice. I find the train station has more eateries and restaurants to choose from.

Hotel is well positioned, just five minutes from the main train station and city center. The staff is friendly and service quite good. It is very convenient if you are staying for.a business trip, but it is not really a family hotel. Would recomend it for short business stays.

I booked a a queen-sized bedroom for my spouse and self in this hotel. The hotel rooms are tiny in size (maybe that is a European thing?). I found the hotel to be only reasonable in quality. The location was quite good with a ten minute walk to the train station across the river. The service of the hotel staff was nothing outstanding really - I would rate it as fair at best. Their breakfast is offered in the attached restaurant, and the quality is only standard. For the price you pay for t... Read more

I nearly always stay at this hotel when I'm in Zurich. it is god value for money and has recently had new management. There are two notable improvements: You only need to give your room number in the Crazy Cow to get breakfast and the rooms are air conditioned. An absolute necessity in the scorching Zurich summer. The service at reception was as excellent and friendly as ever. I'm not quite sure i see the point of the min tablets in the room and I could not find anything on them apart from the ... Read more

With my family I stayed 2 nights in this Hotel from 16 Feb to 18 Feb. Check in & check out both were very cordial. In the front desk help us for selecting the tourist areas & booking was done from there. The hotel location was in the center of the city. Rail station, tourist bus stand etc. all were within in 10 min walk. Room arrangement was excellent & was renovated very recently. Beautiful view of the city are visual from the room. I stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting ETH. It's a great location with a tram stop from the airport right outside. The main train station is just down the hill. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and had a TV, mini fridge and coffee machine. Also an iron and ironing board. The bed was actually two single beds pushed together, which was a little strange, but they were comfortable. There is a private garden which you can use in the evening. I ate breakfast s... Read more

A good value considering close proximity to city center and train station. There were not lot of "frills" but that was not what were were looking for. Hotel was clean. Staff courteous. Breakfast buffet was average with a small/cramped restaurant area. It looked like they were doing construction on a new restaurant section.

The hotel is centrally located, near the Hauptbanhof, but it is on the hill and one needs to ascend two sets of stairs, around 80-90 steps in total if he/she is on foot. The hotel needs refurbishment and it is of low standard. It is highly overpriced by the international standards!! There is also a weird smell all over the place.

Where to start I just loved this hotel, only 2 nights I spent on Zurich but I wish I stayed little longer, the rooms are very very clean and very spacious and well furnished also the location is great I love the street where the hotel exists. This might be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, one last thing I can't understand how this hotel is a three star hotel.

Generally average. Reception staff were helpful and informative as would be expected. The room (3rd floor) was clean and comfortable but disappointingly had neither shampoo nor soap in the bathroom for both nights of my stay (despite informing reception after the first night). On a very hot night the air conditioning was essential but produced a grinding noise every minute or so and couldn't be used. Breakfast was average at best: coffee was excellent but the breakfast room itself seemed to be a... Read more

The Hotel Leoneck is up a steep climb after you cross over the Limmat in front of the main train station, about a 20 min ramble towing a rollie. This can be a stretch if it is raining or hot and muggy as summer tends to be. [Or you can go up the hill on the Polybahn (listed on all maps): walk across the Limmat from the station to the beginning of the Niederdorfstrasse. The little funicular is inside a building with a red UBS sign on it. The ride costs 2.60 SFr and then walk a short block dow... Read more

The hotel rooms have been renovated with new bathroom and bedroom. The room includes TV, air-conditioning, fridge and free breakfast. The location is pretty good being about 5 minutes walk from the main train station but it is up hill if you have bags! Staff were friendly. The room and bathroom are extremely small. We had two large suitcases and when they were open we had to climb over the bed to move around! The bathroom shower nozzle was broken so you had hold it in your hand to shower.

Despite that the hotel was being rebuild it was a good stay. We did not notice reconstruction in our room on the 4th floor. Breakfast room was a little messy because of reconstruction. There is a parking spot available for 25CHF right under the hotel, which was suitable for our small car, but can be difficult with a big car.

We spent a weekend here sightseeing in Zurich. The staff here are fantastic. The restaurant is quite good - with a daily menu at lunch. The rooms a are small, we had one with a nice little balcony facing Liebfrauen church. Bed was comfortable and they have nice towels/linens. The bathroom is small but efficient. They have liquid soap mounted on the wall in shower and at the sink. My husband prefers bar soap but I thought it was fine. I always travel with my own shampoo and hair conditioner... Read more

We liked the Leoneck as our introduction to Switzerland. Easy to get to - as everyone says, just take Tram 10 from the airport to the Haldenegg stop and you are right there. Nice room and bathroom with some extras like plush towels and chocolates. Convenient to the train station (down a bunch of stairs, though, but OK if you have light luggage). Convenient to a walking tour of the historic area of Zurich. Staff was so helpful, even translating some signs in the train station I couldn't unde... Read more
