It is good, though maybe a little dated. Rooms are clean and comfortable and not at all cold. Breakfast is expensive at CHF18 but there is a kitchenette in the room and it is good for a business traveller or a family. Fast and funny access by a funicular tram which is an attraction for kids by itself.

Arrived pretty late here but where welcomed by friendly helpfull staff The room was a lot bigger then expected with a nice big balcony overlooking the city and a view of the lake Bathroom was older but clean and loved the heated floor Some fresh fruit was waiting in the room and that was a nice touch The had a free parking up front with security guard on site Left early again, so did not have breakfast there

To be honest, there is no point writing the review of the hotel since it will be knocked down in September. And it deserved to be. It is really 3 stars in terms of rooms and facilities and decor. Probably the most uncomfortable bed i ever slept on, more of a single rollaway bed with soft mattress. The best features of the hotel are staff and view. It is about 15 mins taxi ride to the center of the town, and it would cost you 25 francs. The hotel provides a shuttle bus but the schedule is ... Read more

Unparalleled views over Zurich from the top of the Zurichberger. Beautiful cozy bedrooms with spectacular views of the city and lakes and all the beautiful houses in the area. Indoor pool and gracious dining room with delicious food. Closing down later this year. Go now!

The hotel is old... The rooms are very small and "decorated" without any taste. Very disapointing to be honest. Oh, and when you order room service, which is available only till 10 pm, they want to charge you 6CHF for delivering the food to your room, really??? This hotel served its purpose, allowing me to sleep, that's it!

This is the worst hotel ever. Poor service and worst staff. Squeaky beds. They don't care for customers complaints. The rooms are big but empty. They have separate mattress and comforters for a couple which make no sense if you are on honeymoon.

this hotel is a superb hotel. rest. Our room was excellent: kingsize bed, salon with desk , large bathroom, kitchenette with tea, coffee, filled fridge, special place with equipment for the wellness, beautifull view over Zurch & the Lac. Free parking at the hotel. Very gentle personel. the breakfast was great in buffet : different bread, meat, cheest , fresh fruit, yoghurt, tea, coffee etc. Dinner served at the table. in or outside the restaurant. Excellent food. i cannot find a negative point ... Read more

Wonderful location at the top of a hill, with a good view of the city. It's gong to be closed for a complete reconstruction. In the meantime, it offers very large and confortable rooms (I'm ready to bet they'll be downsized...), some of them with cooking facilities. Restaurant in the average, considering it's in Switzerland. Recommended.

High above the hustle and bustle of town, but 10 minutes away from the centre by funicular which stops right in front, The ugly concrete facade which looks like subsidised housing hides a nicer interior with very comfortable rooms with small kitchenette. Ours had a breath-taking view of the city and lake from the balcony. Good-sized pool and spa area. Small forest with lovely walks up to the much grander Dolder Grand Hotel (10 minutes' walk). Downsides: Standard breakfast buffet in a room with ... Read more

We stayed for 3 nights during our August vacation. Rooms were spacious with a balcony overlooking the lake. We also had a small kitchen with a frig and a large hot plate for simple meals. Loved the rustic location! It is located out of town beside the Dolder Park and Zoo. They provide a free shuttle each hour that goes to and from the city to a central point. With free parking we simply left our car and shuttled into Zurich. Great restaurant and spa are also available. Staff were helpf... Read more

Very expensive old hotel from the seventies, worn, noisy, uncomfortable, but... a great view to the Zurich Lake. and has a retro heated indoor pool that i enjoyed as a passionate swimmer. I looks and feels like 1 to 3 Star hotel, the offered room rate was around 500CHF for the night, unbelievable! All looks and feels like a hotel(and it is) from the 1970ties. A relief was to see the model for the new hotel, to be built soon in the same place. There was no space in the noble Dolder Grand, where we... Read more
