Very nice charming old hotel located beside a casino and the lake. The lake view is spectacular and breathtaking if your room faces there. The room is nice and clean and even has a chandelier in the room. The staff is friendly and nice.

We are from Australia and stayed here for 2 nights to see the Christmas markets. It is 10 minutes walk from the Montreux Gare. This hotel is fantastic with its old charm and beautiful view. Location is great, lakefront and next to Montreux Casino. Our room can fit an extra bed for our young girl. The room is old styled, but clean and warm. The only concern is that there is no coffee making facility in the room, only wine glasses. Everything else is great, friendly receptionists, nice cleaning... Read more

This 4 star hotel is located right on the lake in the heart of Montreaux near the Freddy Mercury statue and a pleasant walk from the Chateau de Chillon. The lakeside rooms have magnificent views of Lake Leman (Geneva) and the Alps. The restaurant is a bit overpriced and the food is so-so, but there are plenty of other eating options nearby. The hotel says it is A/C but only some rooms have a/c. You must ask for an a/c room if you want one one. They may wheel in a portable room unit which is... Read more

Stayed here during the Montreux Christmas market for a long weekend and was very happy with our stay. The hotel was clean and tidy, although the carpets in the reception could do with replacing. The staff were very attentive and friendly and helpful in recommending things to do. The room was clean and the bed comfy, only issue was there was no tea making facilities in the room. Would have been nice to have had this option. We didnt have breakfast when we stayed so cant comment on that, but th... Read more

The view is amazing, no doubt about it. The rate was a bit high. The service was great. However, there were a few things that lowered the rating I am choosing to give. Decor: Pink, dirty carpet. Gum worked in. The place is clean, but there is a lot of grime that needs a deeper clean to get out. The halls look exactly like a haunted house, with big mirrors and randomly placed chairs. Bathroom tiles were cracked and not set by grouting. Wifi was unbearably slow.

I stayed here for three nights during a business trip to Vevey and was a bit reserved after reading some of the negative reviews here but decided to give it a go. The hotel is charming and my room was really big. Yes, there were some stains on the carpet but what can you seriously expect from a hotel that is over a hundred years old? Some wear also adds to the authentic experience and it's only cosmetic anyway. My room was facing the city so the view wasn't good but the hotel is a few steps fro... Read more

This hotel is located in the heart of Montreux and has fantastic views of the alps. The hotel entrance and breakfast room are still as they were when the hotel was built and there are original features everywhere. The rooms are clean and appointed as required. The bathrooms are large with nice facilities and extra touches like free products. I have stayed in their deluxe rooms and junior suites and personally preferred the deluxe rooms. In neither rooms were there coffee making facilities (despi... Read more

This lovely old hotel is charming and comfortable. I have stayed here many times in the last twenty years. But now the Eden is in need of maintenance. The carpeting and furniture are dated and worn. But the beautiful architectural details are still there. The location is the best in Montreux, sitting right on the lake. Most of the hotels are across the street. And the views from the room are spectacular. I hope the the hotel will someday be brought back to it's old glory without losing it's... Read more

So in reading some of the negative reviews I want to just say this is a old hotel, some of it has been restored and some probably is ready for an upgrade. If you don't like old hotels and want glossy modern - this isn't your spot. This hotel is however charming, has AMAZING staff and feels like a piece of history. The rooms are immaculately clean and have everything you need. The location can't be beat - right on the lake steps from the waterfront trail that leads to Chillon and beyond. It was w... Read more

Stayed 5 nights in mid Oct for 25th anniv and wife's bday... rm#520... room included small (but useful) balcony overlooking lake. The staff all spoke English very well and were SUPER helpful in recommendations for things to do as well as restaurants. HUGE kudos to Mahmoud, Guillaume, Lora, and Silvia for being so friendly and helpful. Walk from train station was 10 minutes tops, but try to use elevator if you are dragging yer luggage, as the stairwells are pretty steep. The stay included (pl... Read more
