A highly recommendable Hotel a few steps from the famous wooden Chapel Bridge and the River and around the corner from the Jesuit Church and other sights. Also very near Lake Lucerne - it's a stones throw away. Friendly staff, clean, good brunch. And parking in an undergroundgarage at a reduced rate.

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was a pleasant stay. The hotel is very conveniently located. Just a 5 minute walk to the train station and Chapel Bridge. The décor is modern but functional. Our room was small but in Europe, that's usually what you get. I loved having a refrigerator and coffee maker in the room. The small closet could have used a few more hangers since there is no drawer space in the room. The bathroom was very sleek and functional. The tub does have some height, so be careful... Read more

Stayed 2 nights in the Premium Room (Smart) which also included free mini-bar items. Our room was located on the 5th (top) floor with a balcony. Weather was too cold for us to chill out on the roof top balcony, otherwise it would have been a nice touch. The room was a good size for 2 persons with a large suitcase each, based on European standards. It was clean and bright, apart from the bathroom which could do with brighter/more lights. This hotel is in a great location to enjoy Lucerne. The hotel was very busy when we arrived and we didn't get much attention at the desk, just handed over a key and map with no extra info and we weren't offered the choice of an upgrade. As the hotel was fairly busy the whole time of our stay, the staff seemed flustered and we felt like we were annoying them when asking for information. Our room overlooked the garbage bins in the alleyway and we were woken early by the garbage truck (although we ... Read more

Location was great--opposite the Rosengart Collection and a proper toy store, and one block from Chapel Bridge. Italian staff at the hotel restaurant were super cordial and the hotel guest breakfast buffet for 20 Francs seemed a bargain by Lucerne standards. Front desk staff very helpful regarding tourist sites and transportation. Parking garage directly below the hotel also convenient. Overall, it was a very nice stay!

I chose this hotel because of its location. This hotel is very close to the train station and Chappel Bridge and everything. We always like to choose a hotel close to the train station if we are going to travel by train. This is the one. Also the breakfast was really really good. The hotel was very clean and staff were very friendly. Highly recommend it.

Just stayed at the Hotel Flora in Lucerne and it is a keep!! Central location, underground parking garage, clean and modern rooms, excellent check in service and abundant breakfast. Add to this free internet and complementary water bottles in the room... tough to beat for the price they ask. The hotel is literally a throw stone away from the end of the lake. We stayed here for one night en route to Italy and really loved it. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the hotel foyer was really contemporary and stylish. Our room was clean and modern with a pod coffee machine for drinks and really nice toiletries in the bathroom. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal and it was delicious, well presented food. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice but we did think that was a bit expensive. Would definitely stay again.

The harbour is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The front desk officers at the hotel n the housekeeping staff r very pleasant.

This hotel is very well situated being 300m from the railway station and ferry terminals, and 100m from the river and the famous Chapel Bridge. It is an easy walk into the town across the river. The hotel does have free wifi. This hotel caters mainly for large bus tour groups, and as we have come to find with similar hotels, individual travellers are ignored. Please modernise your lobby! It feels like a 2*sup hotel. Please insulate the walls! The night club banging until 9:00 am would not let me sleep. Please keep the breakfast room as it is (see, I'm not pointing out only the negative ones)! It has its own atmosphere. Breakfast was good; it can get better though. The hotel is right at center of the city, 120 seconds walking distance from the train station.

My Mom just went to the front desk to ask if someone could come check our air conditioning. The person at the front desk said that she hears that complaint from "you people" all the time. We are American. She suggested a glass of ice to cool down. If you are hearing complaint from us people all the time, why haven't you corrected the problem? Planning on moving hotels tomorrow. The hotel team were very helpful throughout our stay and even let us bring our own Gluten Free beer (purchased at the World of Drinks under the railway station) into the lobby lounge! I reached to the hotel on Aug 31st around 01:30 p.m, though I requested early check in, I was asked to wait and after waiting for about 30 minutes, I left as I don't want to waste any more time and came back in the evening around 7:00 p.m and checked in. They gave the worst possible room in the category i booked , the room was shapeless and small, we could hardly move. To make things worse though the Air Conditioner though ... Read more

Only two blocks from the train station and less than one block to the famous Chapel Bridge, riverside restaurants and people watching. Two nights were barely enough to get out and see the great downtown sites and beauty all well within walking distance. Room was very clean and comfortable, included breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. If you go to Lucerne, stay in a central hotel and enjoy the city.

Location within easy walk to bridge, old town, restaurants. I have never stayed in such an ugly hotel. Lobby was all in black with throw rugs in lounge area that looked like stained painters drop cloths. Wall looked like it wasn't finished being painted. I realize that taste is subjective but the carpet upstairs was warn and the front desk was scratched. we had trouble getting room key card to work, had trouble getting on wifi and also with the TV. Breakfast was just OK. very disappointed!

I recently stayed at Hotel Flora for 2 nights. First the good - The location is great with the Chapel Bridge, lake cruises, rail station and Old Town, etc. all a 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. the rooms are neat and clean and we faced no problems with the air con cooling. This was the only hotel we stayed in with a real bathtub! However, there's no real difference in the Premium and Standard rooms except for a minor size difference and 2 free bottles of beer and sodas in the higher category roo... Read more

We stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Lovely touches made it special, such as the nice little things for our child including the bathroom product, smarties etc. Very welcoming. The air con was great, the wifi worked very well and the coffee machine was hugely appreciated! We didn't get to try the restaurant, this time. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is perfectly located. One block from the Main train station, an art museum, the Chapel bridge and the old town. Lucerne is not a big city so it's easy to walk around an see everything. The room was comfortable and had a balcony. The staff was very helpful and will take your luggage if you get there to early before check in.

I spent five nights in this centrally located property, especially if you are a tourist. The staff are friendly, the room and property were clean and well maintained. The room coffee maker used a pod system and was quite good (once i figured it out). The air conditioning is cool enough to please a USA visitor. The safe has an electric outlet inside, I've never see that, but a great idea. The hot water can be dangerously hot. The lifts are speedy. The speed of the wifi was better than I have ever... Nice modern hotel WiFi is such a antiquated system. Out of 4 of us only one of us could connect to the WiFi. Very disappointing in this day and age. We had a nice meal in the restaurant which we all enjoyed

My wife and I stayed at the Flora in Lucern for two nights prior to going on a Viking Rhine cruise from Basel to Amsterdam. The hotel location was excellent but in my opinion it was not up to 4star standard. The room was average and the breakfast room we were asked to use was in the basement and there again was not 4star standard as was the breakfast. I have stayed in many 4star hotels in Europe so am aware what they should be like. The reception area was uninviting and the decor very dull. We h... Read more

Location is great! Minutes walk away from Train Station & Chapel Bridge. Room is reasonably sized. WiFi however had to be activated by Front Office Staff singly, device by device. Was also reminded that Minibar consumption is chargeable! Self serviced hot water only available from the restaurant free of charge. Kettles not provided with safety reasons cited. Room was clean and we had a good sleep. Car parking charge was 26 CHF under the hotel which does not belong to the hotel or 22 CHF if your ... Read more

The good thing about this hotel is the location, 5 minutes walking from Lucerne railway station, bus station and boat dock and a minute from the Chapel Bridge. Check-in took over half an hour because the bald fellow at the desk insisted on conducting a 'training' with his staff in German while we waited. He also kept insisting that we should take the breakfast option and upgrade to a better room by paying about 200 francs more, even after we told him point blank that the room was already too e...
